  • Chill out and build this PC in the Corsair Crystal 280X from start to finish. Beauty shots at the end as always :)
    Fitting the 280mm AIO with a micro ATX motherboard was difficult, but I made it fit using only 2 screws on the left radiator fan.
    This case is fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who wants to build a PC with a micro-ATX motherboard and a 240mm AIO. 280mm AIO's are too difficult to fit. An ITX motherboard and 280mm AIO build would be nice.
    Comment with your questions and I will answer them.

    Great video bro. I really like your style and all the shots were crystal clear (pun indented). Real nice camerawork and the build looks amazing as well. I was actually look up this case to learn more about it so your video came up in the search results and I clicked on it just so I could watch a quick little build montage. Little did I know that I was about to get the cleanest shots of all time along with professional-level PC building. Keep it up bro; good stuff.

    So I wasn't entirely shure how well the full aio would fit in here but it fits surprisingly well especially if you downsize the fans attached

      I didn’t downsize anything, 140 fans in front and on the bottom. But the Bottom fans help a lot especially with a lot of heat. My 3080 ftw3 at 70-75c and 5800x liking 75-80c, in the winter I don’t mind the extra heat in the room 😂😂😂😂

    I've been interested in this case for a long time and your build is my favorite so far. Now I'm kinda nooby when it comes to the PC building game so I was hoping you could answer a couple of questions, mostly about airflow. Which of your fans did you use for intake and exhaust? Which ones are the 120s and which are the 140s? And would your fan setup still be a good option for me if I just wanted to use the stock fan coolers for my GPU and CPU?

    • @noone998
      @noone998 3 роки тому +7

      I have the same case and almost the same setup. Best configuration for airflow is bottom and front intake. Top exhaust. All can be 120 mm . But if you wish to put 140 mm. Put it to the front. Stock coolers for GPU and CPU would be fine for this case. Getting high 60's for gaming.

    • @racequad9
      @racequad9 3 роки тому +3

      @@noone998 I agree 100%. Make bottom and front fans for intake since it should flow and cool better since hot air rises and you would naturally want the exhaust at the top.

    Which fans are 120mm and which are 140mm? I'm assuming the radiator fans are 140?

    Gday Subdubbin!
    I hope you see this comment, I'm looking at building a pc in this case eventually. Do you think the 3070 Noctua would fit in this case generally speaking? Just wanna know in case I have to mod it in some way to get it to work, perhaps get handy with a dremel.
    Cheers!

      Check the website of the case there’s maybe the dimensions of the inside and outside, but there are more case options from Corsair if you want like the crystal 680x(taller version of the 280x)

    can you not use the nzxt fans with the AIO or did you swap them out for RGB reasons ?

    • @TheTiredPirate
      @TheTiredPirate 3 роки тому

      Any fan that’s the same size will work with any radiator. For example my computer has multiple Corsair AIOs and I have all 3000rpm industrial noctua fans cooling it. I guarantee he changed them to Corsair fans so he can plug them into his Corsair RGB node rgb controller

    Couple of questions if anyone can answer, firstly can you use a normal size power supply in this case or do you need a sfx one like in the video? Also can you fit normal old hard drives into this case? And finally that commander pro thing does that clip onto the other Corsair thing or was that cable tied together

    • @Subdubbin
      @Subdubbin  3 роки тому +3

      You can fit an ATX power supply in this case. I didn't have one so I used an SFX psu with an ATX adapter. You can fit 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives in this case. I took out the 3.5" drive caddies for more room for cable management. The Corsair things were taped together.
