Loving your videos and you have reconfirmed my decision to retire in Bali. I still have a mortgage but I’m hoping to retire in 3 yrs when I turn 60 and make the move. Some great information shared. Looking forward to following you guys along your journey. Good luck with your move and I hope it all goes smoothly

Congratulations on the move to Bali.
Please don't take this as a negative.
I've been here a long time and the most common mistakes people make moving to Bali
Most people come to Bali as a tourist return many times etc as a tourist you never really understand the reality's of living here .
1 remember it's not Australia and doesn't have the infurstucture you take for granted.
Dealing with government offices is time consuming and frustrating you have to take a relaxed attitude to it otherwise it will drive you crazy .
2 there is no social security system in Indonesia so everyone will want to profit from you .
Be careful don't trust so easily.
3 if you have zero experience on riding a motorcycle don't just get on one and think everyone follows the road rules they don't .
Sanur is the best choice it's small easy to get around via pushbike till you feel confident on a bike .
3 prices for everything in the tourist zone are much more expensive than out of it .
4 once you get a kitas temp resident visa you can get a local bank account, licence etc
And when you decide to buy a car if you do get a small car so many buy big cars and Indonesia roads are not built for them
If you decide to get bikes Yamaha nmax or Honda PCX best for men and Honda Scoopy for woman
There's a lot more but take your time relax adjust to Bali time. And learn along the way .

Thank you very much for this video. I’m 50 and single and considering retiring in Bali from USA. The hardest part to digest would be leaving my family and friends behind, literally on the other side of the planet. The fact is though, unfortunately, everybody is hectically busy and even if they live down the road, we barely see each other anyways. I’m looking forward to checking out your other videos. Thankyou.

Bali is my choice, I have some very old and good local friends there, so will have a lot of support. I can't wait to follow your journey!!! Too Funny. • @mauriziobali8840
      @mauriziobali8840 7 місяців тому +1

The $3000us income is different to receiving a pension. The retirement KITAS and a pension is all that is required. People let's say in Australia who are on the pension can apply for the Retirement KITAS. One other thing once you have your KITAS you and apply for Indonesian medical cover called BPJS. (Medicare) cost $15 per month. After 5 years you apply for KITAP (permanent resident visa) then you can buy property in your name under the HBK.
With a KITAS/KITAP you can buy car or motorbike in your name.
It is very easy to live in Indonesia/Bali. Have great fun guys. Cheers

good luck, we are long term visitors since 1993, now 71yo and still love having long term visits each year. Renting for 12 months will certainly help make your minds up about your longer term plans. Sanur, for us is just too crazy busy, we stay in Lovina, its so, so relaxed and different, no crazy traffic, real calm and the beach is often empty. enjoy your experience, you will learn heaps. Suggestion, be wary, check things through and through before committing, your 12 months will decide for you. Stay well, stay healthy.

$1200 US in Bali a month is a good income Bali has different levels of of cost depending on where you live the main tourist area is way over priced and crowded.
