OMG - I am sitting here in tears. I thought my dream of moving to Bali was shattered given previous information. You guys are amazing - keep up the good work.
Excellent presentation. This is invaluable to anyone contemplating retirement in Indonesia. Thanks, Muzza, Frank, and the CFO MRS. I'm looking forward to the sequels.
Hi Muzza i'm loving these video's with Frank and Monika retiring in Bali is something Kerri and i are thinking about so these are answering a lot of question's i have.
Mate, mate, this has been amazing. We’re planning my retirement and will be contacting these guys when we come to Bali later in the year. Thanks brother
Wow,great information Muzz,so different from what we got told, very nice people, honest, will definitely b in touch with Frank and Monica, keep up the brilliant work you do bro, love it.
Great info and very enlightening, Bring chocolate you say, I came over on the 1 st March and brought 26 kg of chocolate for the friends and family along with the local kids, next time I will save some. Keep up the great work. Thanks Tim
Previously the retirement visa stated you had to show the lease agreement on the property. PLUS, you had to employ 2 indonesian nationals, PLUS, not only did you have to have INDONESIAN health insurance, but you also had to have Indonesian life insurance...???? I know you touched on the $3,000 in the bank, but i'm sure when they recently amended the retirement visa, they stipulated a minimum monthly income, and that figure was above what one would receive on the Australian aged pension...????
The original bahasa version of the rule is different from the English translation apparently, anyway seems that many agents are all doing the same thing so sounds good to me
Regarding the ONE (previously two) Indonesian employee, driver, maid, whatever. Previously you had to supply an employment contract stating the employees wages, holidays with pay, etc. This document had to be certified by a notaris. you seemed to have omitted to mention all this..??
These weekly episodes are fabulous. I'm personally really sad Bali ever changed the retirement visa from 55 to 60 as I'm 51 and my husband 53. So we need to look at other ways as we plan to retire to Bali in 2-3 years. It's so helpful hearing these correct details and what they can organise or us, we will now go through this couple for a different type of visa. Bring back the 55 year old retirement visa please Bali 🙏🙏🙏
Wishes do come true sometimes: The 55 has just been brought back in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 11 of 2024 which amended Regulation No. 22 of 2023 - the one that raised the age to 60 - but the income and guarantor/security deposit requirements remain the same. The new regulation, which came into force on the 1st of May, amongst various changes to the 2023 Regulation has also newly introduced 60 and 180 day multiple entry visas but they don't seem to be in the eVisa system yet.
Great video,.so informative. I know you went back home last year Muzza to sort out your storage unit (sea container??) just wondering if you have any suggestions for storage options here in Australia - for cars and personal belongings (until we decide to sell them or not 😂)
sorry i cant help you from here. look at local storage options. Remember you MAY have to pay import duties on anything you bring over so its value may not equal its cost to relocate it.
Retirement visa sounds very easy and reasonable price. $1200 each person initially, proof of $5000 aus bank balance, Medicare card, marriage certificate, passport, drivers licence, no doubt birth certificate and proof of residence……was it 3 months minimum? Any thing else? Any link to these people?
Thank you so much for this wonderful informative Retirement Visa process. Would love to know the links for accommodation for a few months to process the 'Off Shore" Retirement Visa?
Lovely couple and extremely helpful to make everything you want/need as easy as possible. Set up a company for me and helping with purchasing a villa as a lifestyle/investment
I was checking out a retirement site online for Bali. Is it true you have to have 2 Mrna shots, you call them vaccinations, to be eligible for the retirement visa? Thank you.
What happens after the 1 year? Do you have to re apply? Do we we have to leave? Can we we live there full time with an Australian pension? Is there an ongoing cost?
That depends on your circumstances. Veterans can receive a pension overseas but I am not aware of the australian requirements so that would have to be checked from your end. You have to reapply for your visa at the end of 12 months but the costs are much lower and can be done from Bali.
Requirements do not match what the actual regulation states. New regulations do not ask for health insurance, lease agreement, employ staff . That was required under the old regulation. The 3k USD per month income is required.
Wondering what the rules are for "same sex" marriages, where one spouse is 60 and the other is say 50? Does Indonesia accept the "legal" marriage of a same sex couple from Australia? Might be a good topic for another video.
Indonesia only recognises a marriage between a man and a woman and soon it will also be illegal for unmarried couples to live together as 'husband and wife' although - in theory - a parent or child has to lodge a complaint for a prosecution to occur. It doesn't have specific laws against same sex relationships except in Aceh province, which operates under sharia law and flogs those who get caught, but it's very much frowned upon and sometimes prosecuted under vague public decency laws.
I would love to also say. Anyone thinking of doing a visa or Kitas always use an agent. I pay 900 Aussie for Kitas and it is worth it. Again I was told I can use Medibank cars not Medicare lol. But bpjs is awesome but be careful bpjs does not. Cover you for an accident in car or motorbike or surfing etc
As others have commented below it’s wrong to say that you only need to show $3,000 in your bank account up front and not a monthly income. The latest law - the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 22 of 2023 About Visas and Stay Permits - specifies in Article 61(2) that an ‘elderly foreigner’ visa applicant (they don’t call it a retirement visa) must provide quote: ‘proof of income or allowances with a value of US$3,000 three thousand US dollars per month’ (bukti pendapatan atau tunjangan dengan nilai US$3.000 (tiga ribu dolar Amerika) per bulan.) That is unequivocal. The old law used to require proof of having either an income of US$1,500 per month or US$18,000 in the bank for a one year visa (I had a C319 retirement visa for two years under that law and had to supply the proof up front then again at the renewal) so it’s ludicrous to suggest that immigration now accepts that a tourist can live for a year on US$3,000. The new law also no longer mentions medical insurance, employing an Indonesian, having a lease or providing a letter about not working but Medicare Australia has reciprocal agreements with 11 countries and Indonesia isn’t one of them so if medical insurance is indeed still required by another law and they’re really getting away with that, plus also not proving the monthly income, then something very shady is going on. Also they don’t mention that a 5 year ‘elderly foreigner’ visa is available (under Article 62 of the new law) with the same conditions as the 1 year option but - because it doesn’t require an Indonesian guarantor as the 1 year option does - in addition you have to deposit US$50,000 in a State owned Indonesian bank as an immigration guarantee (but can’t touch it as long as you stay in the country or even get the interest on it - that goes to the State). I would be looking for a more knowledgable consultant to interview if I was you because - as someone rightly commented below - this one doesn't pass the pub test..
YES, Your response sounds correct. The 3,000 US dollar bank deposit statement caught my attention. Bali is one of the most expensive countries for visas and they don't want broke jokes staying there long term. This looks like a Buddy interviewing a buddy and when things go sideways, you hear things like , "No Biggy we can fix anything with a little more money",Ya mine! lol
Hey Muzza, just wondering how an Australian Medicare card is acceptable for application when there is no reciprocal health agreement with indonesia on this.
Personally I would be getting my own travel inurance in case something happens in the first 6 months, after that you qualify for the local BPJS scheme which is very good and only $15/month
Why is it then that pretty much every other source of info on the retirement visa says you must have $3000 per month income? That would be crazy to need that much in Bali!
Hello Murray thanks for all great info U share with people ... I must say I am a little confused more so since your UA-cam .. I ok I have kitap and. On old system but. My agent who I sent many people to who is also Australian owned and also my wife family who do visa are saying diffrent to them as I know from personally experience. U must give 3 months proof of income not 1. And 3 agents told me it 3000 USD per month over 3 month so I not sure what is true now. Officially .. I know it has always previously until December 2023 U had prove 3 month income each year and most current. Months statements .. also you must have proof of insurance but after 6 months we can convert to bpjs Just feedback. As I said I no expert never claim to buy I do know it was 3 month of statement even for me in December and I got few neighbours here and I ask they all have to do same. .. maybe your mane has a secret way .. but it also says 3000usf on website not Aussie dollar
Hey mate no he said specifically 1 month only even U. Questioned him saying U thought differently also he said 1 month show 3000 but it is 3 months 3000usd .. but with new. Kitas retirement if U have 40k in bank don't need a sponsor also. And bpjs is only for basic medical does not cover for. Accidents in cars on bikes surfing etc. Only normal health so it is slightly. Wrong. Sorry mate. Just thought I mention. As way he spoke I think was little misleading or confusing but please keep up great works so much good info you are putting on here I love you posits I don't mean to be difficult.
I’m right there with you. I don’t mean to be difficult and I love Muzza’s posts and thought this was excellent! I just want to get all the facts straight. @whatsupBali said it was USD3000 per every month, as income. Since it a a huge different between just USD 3000 in your bank account to proving USD 3000 in income ever month I think it’s important to get the facts right. 😊
sounds very expensive compared to Cambodia or the Philippines, also what's never mentioned is that Indonesia is a Muslim country . never forget the bail bombings ,the mastermind of that was let free.nice place to visit but Retirement PASS
OMG - I am sitting here in tears. I thought my dream of moving to Bali was shattered given previous information. You guys are amazing - keep up the good work.
Thanks Murray! This is so helpful. I'm certain hubby and I will be contacting Frank and Monica

Currently in Cambodia on a retirement Visa, $290 USD over 55 and that all you need. Bali sounds ok, I thought it was more complicated than that!
Thanks Frank and Monica for all the information 🙂
Great info. Sounds easy. I think this agent is really helpful and knowledgeable
Thanks for the updated info! I'm still planning on coming in later this year so probably rules will change again by then.

This will make easier for those who want to retire in Bali Indonesia
Love this series of invaluable information, Frank and Monika are so likeable and explain everything so well.
Thanks guys excellent video , explained so much .
Regarding the ONE (previously two) Indonesian employee, driver, maid, whatever. Previously you had to supply an employment contract stating the employees wages, holidays with pay, etc. This document had to be certified by a notaris. you seemed to have omitted to mention all this..??
This consultant works with the notaris to supply all the required documentation as required by the govt. That is his job.
WOW, great video muzza. Can you also include, if you want to retire to Bali, can you bring your car with you?
No you can not.. it is almost impossible to import a vehicle and bloody expensive
Awesome chat, be good to know if there's a retirement option for under 60 or is there another visa to use until you reach 60, keep Muzzering!
Many other offerings and options coming up in the next couple of weeks

Just wondering how many people do you guys help each year? Curious to get a snapshot of how many Aussies are moving to Bali every year.
Great info. Thanks 👍🏼

Great comments 👌 👍
Wow..great video my friend
Wish i ll get auasie retirement hubby when i ll move in bali. Next month. So i can help aussie to be legalcitizenship here
Correct me if i'm wrong. So after 12 months you pay a further AU$1100, and so is this ongoing, every 12 months, you fork out AU$1100...???
I think that is correct, my previous visa was more
I was thinking the same because that adds up…
Great content.
Hi Muzza,do they also provide this service to Europeans (Netherlnds)?
Yes
hi muzza lee here from perth what about Banja ?
I was checking out a retirement site online for Bali. Is it true you have to have 2 Mrna shots, you call them vaccinations, to be eligible for the retirement visa? Thank you.

How many years possible to renew?
Is it possible for you to put up a copy of Frank and Monica's "shopping list"?
Requirements do not match what the actual regulation states. New regulations do not ask for health insurance, lease agreement, employ staff . That was required under the old regulation. The 3k USD per month income is required.
lee again is the vias and fees per married couple or per person individual?
Per person
Do you only work with Australians?
No I am just a youtuber. Frank and monika work with anyone.
May I ask if there is an upper age limit for retirement in Bali?
Don't think so
So either way it's expensive! Send me there details please
Watch video for email address
How much to have in bank account in USD? Also. What’s the fee to pay each year
Wondering what the rules are for "same sex" marriages, where one spouse is 60 and the other is say 50? Does Indonesia accept the "legal" marriage of a same sex couple from Australia? Might be a good topic for another video.
Being a predominately Muslim country I don't think that is an option here
Indonesia only recognises a marriage between a man and a woman and soon it will also be illegal for unmarried couples to live together as 'husband and wife' although - in theory - a parent or child has to lodge a complaint for a prosecution to occur. Can you arrange for Brits as well?

Can the "amount in bank" be a statement of amount in superannuation account?
Good question, I will ask
