What I love about this channel is Beth is the essence of a sewist /creatoe.She doesn't litter her channel with sponsored content or is pushing us to buy patterns. So refreshing
Coincidentally, recently I sewed all my seeing related scraps randomly together to "make" fabric. I was able to make a cover for my machine that is always out and also made a bonus thread catcher to place on the side of the machine. All those cute tiny pieces with sewing motifs were finally put to use. Sometimes I just need to make something out of nothing. Fun projects.
I made one of these years ago from really scrappy scraps and I just love it. I used some leftover plastic piping to make it stiffer on the ends. This is so beautiful what you're making today. I love it ❤
So cleaver I just finished all my Christmas sewing so now you gave me idea to cover my sewing machines I have lots of leftover pieces thank you for the idea hope mine turn out as lovely as yours
Oh. Beth, how did you know I needed this today?!! Ha!! I recently bought a new machine and the cover that came with it is just paper thin gauze fabric. I was thinking I needed to make one of these and here you are!!!! Voila!!! Thanks muchos!
What a great idea! I recently finished a quilt and had quite a few leftover blocks that were too small. I have the same machine, so this would be a great project. 😊 Thank you Beth.
WOW!! This certainly did use up every last bit and this cover is so cute! I remember how my mom made certain that her sewing machine was always covered with a hand towel when not in use.
Very nice. No plastics; and, it is machine washable. I made mine from scraps (batting and back) years ago. I wish I had put two pocket on the sides to hold small items in (so my cats can't knock off on to the floor).
Great little " jig-saw puzzle "project with your off cuts Beth. Turned out very pretty. A few years ago I made matching covers for my sewing machine and overlocker. They look great but the sewing machine is usually in use😅♥️🇦🇺
I should really cover my machine. It came with an ugly one and I keep the big spool mast on..... Maybe I'll get some inspiration from yours and make a nice one!
I love your videos. They're always concise but not chatty.... You have a very simple stick way of teaching things and I love your music very calming and relaxing and exactly how I feel when I sew. I think her quiet personalities are the same... I used to be a very social person when I was younger and I have become more hermit material now as I'm older.... I'm happiest when I am sewing and creating and making things for people I love. Thank you so much for your content. I have learned so much from you! ♥️
Really like your "Use it up, Don't lose it in a box bib or drawer " I've been trying to use all while it's on my table instead of storing the little bits and bobs in a plastic bag. Thank you for your low key and always looked for channel.
Beth, that came out cute. It's so important to cover our machines, dust and fuzz is the enemy. I did the same years ago. Mine came with a hard cover, I tripped over it when doing projects. So grabbed a couple of orphan blocks and scraps with a bit of sew themed fabric. Love it, just toss it aside and sew. No more tripping. Love your idea. ❤
Oh I need to make one. I have the same machine. Love it. Also have a brother and embroidery machine. They came with bulky plastic covers and I never use them. Thanks. Gonna get on this and try to make a dent in that scrap container 😂
Oh my goodness, you are the BEST!!!!!! I enjoy your creativity, and I appreciate you sharing it with us!!! This is one I am DEFINITELY going to copy!!!THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! God's Blessings.
I love it! I made something similar for my new (to me) vintage Singer featherweight. I used two inch squares I bought from a thrift shop. And of course I made it on my new machine ❤
I made quite a while ago, and I usually said on the back of my chair when I’m not using it so that it’s handy when I get it using it to put back on, I may vine scrappy I like yours very unique. Thanks for sharing.❤
I took two quilted placemats from a thrift store & made them into a sewing machine cover. But I soon misplaced it. Guess I should do something similar to yours.
Love it, and using the old jeans for the sides was genius! However, I would have made the sides wedge shaped rather than rectangular (wider at the bottom) so the bottom of the cover would fit over the bottom of the machine.
I love all your projects ❤️ IF you don't mind, I have a really dumb question for you, Beth. HOW do you maintain a straight cut from your ruler?? I know pretty dumb....my cuts ✂️ always come out crooked. Maybe it's my ruler???
Sounds like your ruler is slipping when you cut. Try putting some grippy stuff on the bottom side of your rulers. They make all different kinds. Donna Jordan also puts a workout weight on the far end of her ruler to help hold it in place. 🌷

Great idea. I made a cover from an cushion cover. I cut one end open and then made corners for the top.
I love repurposing things!
The improv squares came out so cute. I love it!
What a darling cover 🤗 you always have inspiring ideas and that’s why I love your channel! ✂️🧵🪡🤗
Nice job on your sewing machine cover
Love the no nonsense way you go about things. X
Brilliant idea Beth ! I will be doing the same this week. Thank you for sharing with us x
I love this! I need to make one for mine, as I don't like fooling with the hard cover that came with my machine.
Love the way you create many things without a pattern that are always very useful. Keep creating for us Beth.
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoy the videos.
I just love how resourceful you are, Beth! Thanks for sharing with us!❤

What a clever use of trimmed pieced work. Beth, you make me smile. Thank you for your great videos, and I enjoy your music choices.

So cute, and a great use of your scraps.❤
Brilliant. I love how you use up all the scraps and make something beautiful and useful. Thanks❤

Great video Beth. Your simple approach to everything makes me want to make one too. Thank you for sharing your love of quilting with us. ❤

Great idea. My cats unthread my machine 😂
Great idea. 💡

Have an entire box of my "discarded" HST's and other bits. Now they can see the light of day - you have all given me so many ideas.
I use my leftover scraps and blocks for pot holders. I need to make a few of these. Thanks for your ideas and inspiration Beth.

You are amazing. Turning scraps into the cutest sewing machine cover. I always enjoy your videos so much.

Hello Beth, what a great idea for left over scraps. Your sewing machine cover turned out nice. Looking forward to your next video.
Oh I need to make one. I have the same machine. Love it.
Also have a brother and embroidery machine. They came with bulky plastic covers and I never use them.

So cute good use of your scraps
And you made it look so easy😊
That is a great idea. Usually I just lay a lathe block over mine.
Such a fabulous use of leftover blocks, love this ❤
Just when I thought you were an amazing creater you make something that's even more amazing! I love the side panels out of jeans!
Thank you so much!😊
Very creative and good use of your scrap fabrics.
A very nice machine cover to keep the dust away.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi from Singapore 🇸🇬
I DEFINITELY need one of these!
Thanks for another great way to use up my scraps
I love it! I made something similar for my new (to me) vintage Singer featherweight. I used two inch squares I bought from a thrift shop. And of course I made it on my new machine ❤
Really nice to watch you work Beth so methodical. Nice to see you making something for yourself to. ❤
