I built a 221 Fireball rifle on a Savage Weather Warrior action with a 20" tube. It is an amazing little cartridge. I generally shoot 53gr Matchings in front of 15gr of IMR 4227. With 15.3gr I get 3000fps so I'm probably around 2970 with the current load. My best 5 shot group was 1/4" CTC at 100 yards. Zero recoil, very accurate, hardly any muzzle blast, relatively low report, what's not to like? I am going to have it threaded so I can use a can that I ordered on it. Out to 250 yards it will make a great varmint getter. Now, I will also say that my 22 Hornet and 223 Rem have their place as well, but the Fireball has a lot of advantages over both of them.
Another very interesting presentation. I find the history intriguing. Keep the episodes coming 👍
Thanks. Glad you’re enjoying them.😁
I really liked my 222 Remington , however I would have like to give the 221 pistol ago ;-)
I know what you mean. They look fun.
Thanks Again Mate. Your videos deserve more views than they appear to be getting.
Thanks. I appreciate that.

That sounds like great performance from that little cartridge. Thanks😁
