Can I ask why you chose those calibers for your wife? I'm not saying you're "wrong" at all, as I switched from .40 to 9mm a few years ago and it just seems so weak(mostly when I go pick out ammo.) I used to carry a g23 and got a 9mm barrel, but always wanted to get a .357sig barrel too. Anyway, just curious. Or is it a range gun as opposed to a self defense gun?
@@Mockturtlesoup1 No actually I got it as a self defense gun for her. The .357 sig is technically a 9mm, on a necked down .40 S & W case. It gives near .357 mag authority yet in my opinion, without the recoil. I hand loaded it with Winchester SXT bullets for a self defense load. I also put a set of Crimson Trace Lazer grips on it. My wife was able to handle and control it just fine. Matter of fact she was deadly from 0 to 25 yards. The idea of getting the .40 S & W barrel was just because I could. I never intended her to carry that unless she wanted to.
Man, that's nice. Barely any flip at all. I don't think they intended this as a competition gun though did they? I looked at it as another addition to the Spectre line(like the p365 Spectre.)
I have the sigsauer P320 X17. It’s one of my favorite handguns I currently have. Curious on how many rounds the magazine for this thinking carries because it’s definitely looking good. My P320 X 17 can carry 17 rounds of 9 mm with the standard mag, and with the slightly extended it carries 22.
Why they couldn't do that with the P365 and actually have a compensator that works well rather than the route they chose to go with the "compensated" slide that doesn't really give you any recoil compensation due to the "compensator" chamber being too large to actually direct the gasses in any meaningful way. I have no doubt the "compensator" works (a little bit) but due to physics it CAN'T work as well as Sig says, the pressure in the system has already been "uncorked" before it hits the "compensator" chambers. I like my P365, but I'm not going to pay double for fancy TiN parts and *maybe* a 5% recoil reduction on paper that I can't notice in practice. For the same amount of money I can get an Icarus frame with a built in gas pedal, a built in picatinny rail (which should have been on the gun from the get-go) AND a PMM barrel and comp which actually noticeably works. And that version looks better imo. Please don't misunderstand, I like the way they designed THIS pistol. But why couldn't they do the same thing with it's little brother?
Would be interested to know if you had issues during break in. I just picked one of these up last week, first 2 mags had super weak ejection. Caused stove pipes every round. It seems like low slide velocity, so Im hoping after a few boxes the recoild springs will break in and correct this issues.
Son had similar problems that you mentioned, also was firing slightly out if battery. SIG customer service was no help. He put in a lighter recoil spring that helped with ejection but ultimately is selling it and going back to a Glock 17. These Sigs are hyped up but have some significant issues.
Damn Idk if that’s bad luck or what but I just got the blackout and first 40 rounds were 115 grain no problem and the rest have been 124 grain with no problems either. Definitely a much much better gun than a Glock….
@@nathancummins8728 Glock doesn’t have anything comparable to the 365 XL that’s what I carry every day I’m pretty short and skinny and I have no Problem concealing it I have a couple walks that I still love but definitely not my preference
@@Mbabbb399I love my p365xl and carry it over my g19 (never cared for the 48), but if anything the p320 is way more of a chunky pistol compared to a g45/19x/17.. Thing is the 320 line is just an after thought of the p250 which was the exact frame but hammer fired, which is why the p320 has such a high bore axis because it's a striker fired pistol in a hammer fired frame.. As a duty pistol I'd say the glock is a better work horse and takes more abuse. I've been seeing a lot of bent ejectors in 320s from mag changes shoved in too fast/hard, which isn't a replacement part and thus needs a brand new serialized receiver/fcu. just watch out with mag changes on extended magazines cuz there's no over insertion stop like with the floor plates on the standard 17 rounders. I've noticed more surface rust with the sigs (both 365 and 320 line) and the mag release button starts to stick on them.. Just need a Lil more care, but not as robust a glocks imo.

Be forewarned, lots of weird issues being reported with this model like ejection issues (stovepiping) and irregular/excessive barrel wear.. Also you can’t mount an RMR with the stock trijicon screws in that slide. It’s a weird thread pitch.
Man to be honest thats a good looking gun, but no gun will make you a perfect shooter instantly the only way you can do that is to put lots of rounds down range and really master the fundamentals of marksmanship to the point that they are second nature, but if you got the money to burn and it makes you happy get one.
I want to see a newby shoot it and not a man that's spent a huge part of his life shooting every type of weapon. Love your channel though! Seem like a great guy.
Really? I absolutely hate the original grip. It’s what kept me away from the 320 for so long. Looks bland and feels way too bulbous. Also, why not just swap it out for the original grip? They’re like $30.
@@Berserkable I assume the original grip doesn't fit the current slides, because their online P320 builder won't let you combine the original grip with any of their slides. Also, I bought one of the compact X-carry frames and it was like it was made for kids hands. I didn't want anything to do with it. My old P250 just feels like home in hand, and I'd like to have a P320 custom made that can stir up some sibling rivalry. I was originally dead set on the OD green Compact frame, and those are pretty much collectible items now. Impossible to find.

Blech. The P320 is just a garbage platform. Stop with the SIG crap and get back to quality firearms like CZ's. FWIW my KKM comp'd barrels on my 10mm G20 and G29 running full-house 10mm loads stay as flat or flatter then that 9mm does so... meh.

I bought my wife a Sig p229 in .357 sig. Great little pistol and I got a .40 S&W barrel for it. 2 guns in one.

Well the comp is supposed to work with all bullet weights. But 115Gr and 124Gr Federal ammo kept causing issues.
