Thanks! I found a cool roll top desk with no keys for 2 locks what you showed me in this will save me big, I just need to buy y11 blanks and by the way, a magnet with a wrong y11 allowed me to lock and unlock it😊
Very awesome! 😃👍👍 gonna try my hand at it this weekend for sure. The other day I got my first successful impressioning with a Brinks disc padlock and an M1 key 😃
Always great info Jason. I also put an edge on the keys for padlocks when I need to impression them. So old and the eyes are so bad now I need to use a loop to see what I'm doing. Lol. Nice Thanksgiving haircut by the way. Don't forget to say Hi to Kim for me.
Matthew m hmmm I haven’t really bought any true impressioning files in decades so I can’t say for certain. I know Grobet to be one of the best brands out there though
Again. I’m floored by your inventory of locks. As far as the impressioning. I use a marker to color the edge of the key to show the marks. Candle smoke is another method.

King Street Rob thanks ;)
Thank you for putting this video together and all the hints example RO3 is almost identical to Y11
Short class today but very informational thank you 😎
Why did you use a round file to make the cuts instead of a ward file or the triangle file?
Great instructional video. I remember learning to impression keys. Sliced the crap out of my thumb, bled like a stuck pig. what a mess.
Jim Brown yep! I’ve stabbed myself many a time :(
Great video thank you

You sure do have a lot of desk locks, if you want to share them just send some this way Lol
11:40 Good one.
oh well, just another drill 1 hole and be done lock. most of our desk locks take a lot of chisel and drilling to install
