I did the same thing. My good friend and I found them from a Call of Duty montage when their only releases were Breaking Point, Wake Me Up, and Voices (I believe). Literally watching them go from those singles to signing with their record company and making Limitless and The Fallout was truly a great experience.
I still remember when i was 16 and this song came out and i legit screamed because I was so excited for the new version. Then proceeded to try and learn how to sing and scream so I could sing this song. Thank you crown the empire for giving me some serious inspiration 8 years ago. I'm just here to pay my tributes :)
This was the first song i listened to when Austin Duncan was just like hey man you should check out our Band.. and ever since then Crown the Empire has been my favorite band... and this remake is badass ♡
I can't decide which version I like better... But then I realized, it's all good! Because these guys are doing this for the sole reason of loving music and their fans! What's not good about that? Yeah they make money but they started this because the music is what called them, and their music is all that matters to me. The lyrics ring true wither way, and I appreciate the cleanness of this reissue but the grit in the original. I love that we as fans can see how much they have grown from then to now. I will cherish both versions
This is my favorite song off the ep. When I heard they were re-recording the ep, this was the song I was most excited to hear. Now, I am happy. I like both versions of it.
No, you remember the EP or demo in CoD montages. :) This is terrible though... Hopefully the made the others good and just decided to make this terrible for no reason whatsoever...
***** Statistics show that when a different version of the same song is released, whether it be by the same band or another, a disproportionate amount of people prefer whichever version of the song they heard first, regardless of whether or not it was the original version. I do prefer the EP, I'm just saying that it may grow on you once you stop comparing it to the EP.
D McNair If someone can listen to this, then the EP or demo and like this better then that would be REALLY suprising. Not only are the vocals better, but the instruments are louder, too. Screams are better, imo but David's take on it is good, too. Only good thing in this version, imo.
D McNair Anyways, this is growing on me. Still not as good, but it's better then when I first listened to it. I can't wait to see what the next album will be like though...
If you've never seen the music video of it, you should. It was made a little after David joined the band, and him and Andy were screaming. I love that version, so I hope the reissues will be good... :/
This is so much better than the demo version, production and the structure is written more smoothly. Anyone who says that Andy's singing isn't as good doesn't comprehend what happens when you lower a tuning to a song. He's going to sing in a lower key otherwise it's going to sound off. Also IMO The ending breakdown is better.
It was a great idea to do this. Andy's voice has matured since then and so has Crown The Empire's sound. So much better without the techno-ish part. Genius idea.
WHAT are all of you guys talking about!? This is an amazing new step/direction for Crown The Empire. Bands mature. These guys are doing it extraordinarily! I hope the rest of their reissue delivers like this does!
Dat breakdown at the end doe. Omg. This pushed me into definitely deciding to buy the reissue. I can't wait to hear the entire Limitless EP with David on it!
The demo version? It was a single...that was released as part of an EP it was a final version. But yes it does shit on this. They took out the electronic dancing part at the end which made the song. This version is definitely less brutal and doesn't hit nearly as hard.
Way more mature in their sound i absolutely love this!!!!!!!! dont get me wrong i absolutely love their old stuff but i really enjoy seeing a band mature as they have!!!!!
I'm not too sure how i feel about this yet. But I respect that their decision to re-issue this. It's pretty cool of them to do this, and I wish more bands re-did their first release a few years later to see how much that wouldve changed, I dunno it's pretty rad
This takes me back to when I first heard this band when all they had was the demo of this now those were the good days but still cant wait to hear their next albulm :)
The original will always be my favorite considering their EP is what made me fall in love with them. But there are certain aspects of this song that are still pretty kickass sooo I guess there's just 2 versions of 1 song that I get to jam to.
This is way better because it gives us a view of how andy will be singing in the new album and how his voice has changed since hes got older. Also dave is doing vocals as well as andy in the re recorded version therefore this sounds way better then the auto tuned techno breakdown version
Personally, I still love this version way more. It sounds more clean, and not all sketchy. It was a brave move they took, and probably Rise Records doings. I think the outcome will most likely be in their favor, though. I just love the way the synth fades in and out at their final breakdown. Serious fuckin' chills man.
I like the songs on the original EP and the reissue and I have no problem with Dave I love him ❤️ but I wish they would have kept some of the effects and audio and distortion like in Voices and this song from the EP
I like them both. Id say the EP version i like more because I'm a fan of the screaming/singing style on that one versus this one, though this one the singing is done really well as well as screams. It's just personal taste, The EP sound just reminds me of the older style i fell in love with when i was getting deeper in the genre.
I think reissuing Limitless is smart on the band's part, since Limitless had a lot of immature elements like at points the unnecessary autotune and the almost too 'pop' like beats (especially at the end of the original Breaking Point, which absolutely kills the song imo), but then again I can't help but feel the original for this song was better in certain points. I'm glad the end is different though, if the original song had this intro and outro and then everything between it was normal, it would be perfect in my eyes.
Misukiy I'd rather take the personality filled autotune version than the mumbled, bored sounding version this one is. They sound like they just woke up and went into the booth saying "fuck it, let's get it over with" Autotune isn't inherently bad just because it exists, dude.
I truly was a die hard fan of the EP verson. But for real, the production is SO much better in this version. And they improved so much musically. Not to mention Dave is a better screamer. It's just a better all around song now, and I'm incredibly stoked for the rest of their reissue! Keep it up CTE!
+Imagine Hope I had this same discovery... but just today. I... I don't think I like it though :/ The other one was more enjoyable to me. This one, while it has a nicer, more sombre tone... it's too slow for me XD
Cleans were 100x better in the old version, even though they are just as auto-tuned, but the screams are better in this version. It also sounds like they are playing in a different key or is it just me?
MrHecticGamer They are making a whole "re-issues" of the whole damn Limitless album. I would say that they are after money, but i feel as if maybe they have acquired much better equipment and want to re-master it with David Escamilla do the unlceans as Andy does not scream anymore. I really wish instead of putting effort towards remastering they put effort towards a new album :( but i guess The Fallout wasn't released that long ago
The contrast in the screaming is much nicer in the Re-Issue, and the ending is equally good - but it's almost not the same song in parts, such as the ending being much more aggressive in the Re-issue but with less build up, which I personally preferred in the original - the 'oh shit' and drop gives goosebumps every time xD
EARGASM!!!!!!!!!!! Hoooly shit, the vocals are absolutely orgasmic :D and I love how they have the breakdown in this version in the place of the electro-pop thingy that was in the original. Whoever keeps complaining about them choosing to re-do this needs to shut the fuck up. If you have the nerve to keep giving them shit for doing what they want, then you don't deserve to call yourself a fan. Some bands just want to experiment and make something new out of their old stuff. What's wrong with that? I honestly can't wait for this re-issue to come out!!!!! I am definitely looking forward to hearing what these guys have come up with! Keep up the good work
This whole EP was so piano and electronics led unlike the album which is guitar led so the fact that they no longer have a keyboardist is so obvious in this song. It's a shame really the original is a banger.
decided to have a listen after many years, this is the band that got me into metal, and seen them live at warped tour 2016 and 2018
I did the same thing. My good friend and I found them from a Call of Duty montage when their only releases were Breaking Point, Wake Me Up, and Voices (I believe). Literally watching them go from those singles to signing with their record company and making Limitless and The Fallout was truly a great experience.

2:35 The most subtle yet powerful breakdowns ive ever heard holy crap this band is amazing.
Why am I just finding these guys?!?! God....I love it!! Amazing band!!!
Im actually happy the album getting reissued
Yeah, i think it'll be better with some more powerful screams and growls
That music like that, giving me a eargasm!
I still remember when i was 16 and this song came out and i legit screamed because I was so excited for the new version. Then proceeded to try and learn how to sing and scream so I could sing this song. Thank you crown the empire for giving me some serious inspiration 8 years ago. I'm just here to pay my tributes :)
these screams are amazing dear lord
They get old honestly..
LimitlessFallout ur stupid
LimitlessFallout I disagree
LimitlessFallout you my friend are ignorant
I love them
This was the first song i listened to when Austin Duncan was just like hey man you should check out our Band.. and ever since then Crown the Empire has been my favorite band... and this remake is badass ♡
Love this band, they're my favorite, love this song.
I can't decide which version I like better... But then I realized, it's all good! Because these guys are doing this for the sole reason of loving music and their fans! What's not good about that? ***** Nicely said, I agree with you completely! :)
The end is so awesome! 3:47
just love the solo by the end
So awesome, stoked for the whole album!!
This is my favorite song off the ep. When I heard they were re-recording the ep, this was the song I was most excited to hear. Now, I am happy. I like both versions of it.
This is the most creative lyrics video I've seen, I love the newspaper incorporation! And CTE sounds good as always.
I can't understand why they didn't release a video for this banger
i remember this shit in all the COD montages
No, you remember the EP or demo in CoD montages. :) This is terrible though... Hopefully the made the others good and just decided to make this terrible for no reason whatsoever...

D McNair You my friend deserve an award.
D McNair If someone can listen to this, then the EP or demo and like this better then that would be REALLY suprising. Not only are the vocals better, but the instruments are louder, too. Screams are better, imo but David's take on it is good, too. Only good thing in this version, imo.

Breaking Point with Dave amazing. now I love this song even more.
THIS IS SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the preview CTE
I can't wait to hear the new Johnny Ringo!
fuck yea
If you've never seen the music video of it, you should. It was made a little after David joined the band, and him and Andy were screaming. I love that version, so I hope the reissues will be good... :/
***** Dave isn't actually screaming on the track. Just the video of him screaming over Andy. Dave is not on Johnny Ringo at all.
Austin Hull The music video features a different track then what was originally issued on the EP. The music video does include vocals by Dave.
D McNair No it does't. It's the same version, listen to it :P Dave isn't in the song, he's just in the video doing Andy's screaming parts :P
i still remember the time you guys had 2 demo's out and released the first ep! Good times..
This song is way underrated...this is a fucking banger!!
I can't wait to hear what Johnny Ringo sounds like! That's my all time favorite song from these guys!
one these day i got to see these guys
I've been listening to this band all day long. Simply amazing!
YES! I MISS THEIR FIRST EP! I jam to it all the time! :D
I pre-ordered it. My mailbox and my body are ready.
David does this perfectly. So happy they rerecorded it.
This version is cool!
Damn am i the only one to love this version and not the two others??
two?
Yeah, there is the ep version and the demo version which are pretty similar
It doesnt make sense, but Andy's voice was so much better when he screamed also. And his screaming was top notch.
The vocals for this version are such a step back from the demo
No they are so much better
Patrick Harmon I hope you're joking, lol.
Technically, a step down. lol
They are far far better. Listen to it on a quality headset, you'll hear all the little details which makes it better.
@@xXWinter720Xx No this version is MILES better
Dat breakdown at the end doe. Omg. This pushed me into definitely deciding to buy the reissue. I can't wait to hear the entire Limitless EP with David on it!
the demo version oh man, memories

More than 75% of the people here never witnessed when it came out though. Oh man.
i say this is better because its whit the new singer
Love this song. So happy they re-recorded the song.. Sounds amazing
I'm so pumped for this re-release omfg
Way more mature in their sound i absolutely love this!!!!!!!! dont get me wrong i absolutely love their old stuff but i really enjoy seeing a band mature as they have!!!!!
Man, I love this version, AND the old one!
I love the little bell hits in that first verse
That breakdown at the end omg
I'm not too sure how i feel about this yet. But I respect that their decision to re-issue this. It's pretty cool of them to do this, and I wish more bands re-did their first release a few years later to see how much that wouldve changed, I dunno it's pretty rad
Love this song. CTE is the best band in the world
Honestly, the good old davey screams are goals
I like the original. You guys changed the song a little from the original. Still love you guys and can't wait to hear the rest of the reissues!
CTE moving forward. Goosebumps @ 4:00
After listening to this a few times, it really started growing on me. I'm excited for the re-release, just a few more days :)
I can't wait to see what they do with Johnny Ringo! it's one of my favorite songs :)
This takes me back to when I first heard this band when all they had was the demo of this now those were the good days but still cant wait to hear their next albulm :)
damn this is good,
i really prefer the clean vocals on the original version, but everything else on this re-issued version is amazing.
Beast ass song i can tell the whole album is going to be great
MY GOSH! That outro is AWESOME!
The ending breakdown is the only part of this song that got better.
Actually, nevermind the other breakdown is better too.
The original EP only had Andy on vocals. They're re recording everything with both Andy and Dave on vocals.
Johnny Ringo had Dave in it though.
STS0127 False, he was just in the video.
Ethan Cullity False they redid Johnny Ringo with Daves screams in it.
Fangcloud thats only for the video...
STS0127 That was a quick job for the video. They didn't take their time with it.
The original will always be my favorite considering their EP is what made me fall in love with them. But there are certain aspects of this song that are still pretty kickass sooo I guess there's just 2 versions of 1 song that I get to jam to.
I prefer the original but im digging David's screams.
I did like the ending a lot though.
How nostalgic ;^;
I don't care what other people think, I think this is a thousand times better than the original and I can't wait for the reissue!!
The first version is better with Andy screaming, but this one is still very good
for some reason i like this version much more. impressive!
That last breakdown HYPES ME UP SO FUCKING MUCH
Goddamn, hopefully this means a new album soon. I couldn't get enough of The Fallout
Dave killed it! I love it!
Wow there is absolutely no heart put into this. I feel none of the compassion in this that i could feel in the original.
just a reissue i feel like they should have just added Davids screams instead of redoing it cause Andy's clean sound terrible here
The original was absolute trash LOL
Misukiy I'm sorry that you have shit taste, bruh.
Henry Narukami The original was legit drowned with autotune, listen back it's a joke compared to this.
Misukiy I'd rather take the personality filled autotune version than the mumbled, bored sounding version this one is. They sound like they just woke up and went into the booth saying "fuck it, let's get it over with"

I miss Andy's screams.
i also miss them :'/

Roxas3510 It's in drop B they posted on their facebook
ADTRwcarCTE Yeah I just saw that a while ago
This was my favorite song by them before they got signed to Rise!!
This is a major improvement from the original... Can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
EPIC!!!
that ending though, i came everywhere. asdfghjkl. 3:43
Not really liking this one as much as the old version. It's still CTE so i love them but I prefer the original.
Yeah I like the first one more. Dunno why they would make a "re-issue" of a already good, past song.
MrHecticGamer They are making a whole "re-issues" of the whole damn Limitless album. this song is just perfect. CTE is just perfect
I wonder how many people know this as a Re-Issue and not a new song.
I like this one because it's better quality. Old one is still amazing though.
This version, in my opinion, is way better. I love what Dave brings to this song.
Just wanna hear Wake Me Up right now, the song that got me into this band
I like this version a lot but the original has a special place for me. I guess i'm having both songs on my Ipod

Damn Andy's voice is on point!
I was never a fan of their other EP. So hearing them record it is going to be pretty cool. Maybe I'll like it this time! I like this. Pretty good.
gonna get this in replace of the fallout and keep limitless so I get the changed and original version PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
