Thank you for your awesome review - I've just gone ahead and ordered this printer for the beginning of my art journey! I hope it carries me well :D
Thanks for this video! I really need it ❤
Glad it helped! 💕
Would you please do a video on how to calibrate the printer? My colors aren’t sharp and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Thank you!
I would love a video on tissue paper!! This is one cost that I can't get down, but if I was able to do it myself that would be a huge help :) Thank you for this review!
Oh yeah, I totally get it! Thank you so much for watching :)
I've had this printer over a year now and I have gotten consistently grainy prints, no matter the ink, paper or settings. I contacted Canon when it first happened (halfway through the ink cartridges that came with the printer) and they basically said "it looks good to us" and that was that. It's been frustrating. I use the same ink, paper and settings on an older Pixma I have and get perfect results every time. I'm guessing I got a lemon, but it's frustrating to be past the warranty period and having to look at buying a new printer. If it would just print correctly, it would be the perfect art business printer. Thanks for sharing your experience. Now I want to try printing magnetic media!
Ohhh I can imagine how frustrating this must be! Have you maybe tried printing using the slower mode? It is one of the settings which also prevents ink smudging. If you wish you can share an example of the print outs via the e-mail with me, maybe we can somehow get to the bottom of this 🥺
It is a great printer when it works
Thanks for this video, I found it very helpful. And I would love a video on how you print your tissue paper! 😊
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Thank you very much for the useful and beautiful video! Have you tried printing on paper suitable for watercolor painting? I mean thick kanson paper for example? Thank you
Good review, grattiamo
Thank you!
Hi!
Thanks so much for your video. Have you tried any other material with a gsm of 300 or higher?
I want to try this with a 340 gsm canvas, but I am unsure.
very nice video
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this video! Any advice on the paper you use for your art prints that keeps your work pretty vibrant and high quality?
If you're looking for really high-end artist paper, I would suggest Hahnemuhle. It is quite pricy, but offers exhibition-like quality and massive choice of textures/finishes. If you don't mind me asking, who will be the "end-user" of your artprints (individual customer, gallery etc.)? I might be able to give a more precise recommendation :)
@@KariArtspace thank you for replying.
The prints will be for customers.
@@joiteriusmarshall As long as it's inkjet printer photo paper which is also acid-free (to prevent ageing), you might want to test it out :)
Witam serdecznie.
thank you so much for this video! Do you know how long the ink lasts on illustrations? How long until it fades I mean
Thank you for watching! I believe the longevity of the illustrations depends on the ink and the printed material. Some of the acid-free paper I've printed on mentioned the illustrations/photos can last up to 100 years. Anyways all the things I've printed in the past 3 years have the same vibrancy as the day they were printed :)
Thank you for the video. Would love to see how you printed on tissue paper!
Thank you for watching! I will definitely make a video on that :)
Thank you for this video would love to see how you calibrate it. Your video persuaded me to buy one
@@lademedia4287 Glad it helped! I will definitely put it on my to-do list :)
@@KariArtspace my printer came today but the prints are so dull on sticker paper.
Yours look vibrant. What foil sticker paper do you use and settings. Any help would be amazing
@@lademedia4287 ohh sorry to hear that! Are you using the original Canon inks? If yes and the issue persists after changing the settings to "best" and photo (or glossy photo paper) I would suggest looking into your sticker paper. Generally, stickers printed on the plain sticker paper (like Online Labels) are not as bright as those printed on the vinyl sticker paper. I've made a video on different matte sticker brands: ua-cam.com/video/zriW0fNiuSg/v-deo.html. Feel free to send the picture of your prints to my e-mail, I might be able to tell you more: karinka.artspace@gmail.com
Thanks for your advice ♥️♥️ I would like to ask, what is your ink color number? And where did you buy it ? Can you give me the link ?
Thank you for watching! 💕 The inks I'm using are the original Canon cartridges: 551 Cyan, 551 Magenta, 551 Yellow, 551 Grey, 551 Black, 550 Pigment Black. I get them from the local shop, which unfortunately doesn't offer global shipping. So I assume it would be worth checking on Amazon or your local platform :)
Hi, thanks for this informative video. Do you think this printer will work for vinyl labels? I want to use it to print lables for my body butter business.
Hi, thank you for watching! A short answer is yes :) do you already have a specific label brand in mind? Do you want your labels to be waterproof?
nice review! small tip. The XL cartridge variants are indeed cheaper in the long run.
thanks a lot, that's a good tip :)
Thanks for the video, Kari, it was super helpful!! 🤩
Mind if I ask what printing profile/settings do you use for matte uncoated papers?
Really glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching! 💕Since the matte papers tend to absorb more ink, I use the "glossy photo paper" setting or similar to make sure the printer deposits more ink onto the paper, besides if the print should be of the best quality possible I use the "best or highest" print quality. A lot also depends on the way you create your art and colour profile you store it in.
@@KariArtspace I'll try this trick with the glossy photo paper setting on matte papers, thank you for the tip!
@@stefanie.sparkles Hi! Did it work putting glossy paper instead of the matte one?
@@giuliagaviano3294I only used matte paper, and tried several settings, even the one Kari recommended, but did not help. Had to run many-many test, used many papers and finally got what I wanted!
I just got this printer and was curious if I can print longer photos than the 13x19 dimensions. Would like to learn the calibrations and the best program to use for printing (ie Photoshop, Canon, etc). Thank you!!!
I also wanna try that, I will post a response here if/when I run a sheet longer than 19 in it
Hi! The maximum print size is A3+ format, so printing bigger than that won't be possible. I'm normally printing directly from my Mac or Canon Print app when printing from an IPad - these options totally fulfill my requirements :)
Would definitely love to see how you do the tissue paper ❤
Hello. Do you have a video how to print on tissue paper?✨❤️🤍
Do you think it can print upon CARDSTOCK, like a common business card someone hands you, THAT thickness of paper (cardstock)? Please reply I own the printer, factory new, and I don't have extra money to burn.
Oh, it totally can! The thickest material I've printed on was the magnetic photo paper - 670 g/m2 and it worked without any issues.
Hi Kari, thank you for the great video, however i got a question, does the printer support duplex printing?
Hi, thank you for watching! Unfortunately not, unless you turn the page yourself.
@@KariArtspace Thankyou for answering my question, if you don't mind me asking again, can i print using Art Carton paper with this device?
@@aldopratama9394 Oh I absolutely don't mind, but somehow your comment got lost so I couldn't address the question, sorry for that! Is the paper you refer to used for offset printing? If so, I would advise against it as it might lead to unsatisfactory quality. Are you looking for some printer to do high-volume commercial printing?
@@KariArtspace I tried asking it from instagram but i guess it got hidden from the request haha, i don’t really know if it was meant for offset printing, but i’m looking for a paper that is 260 to 310gsm, glossy on both sides for my personal photocard merch, do you have any recommendation?
Oh I believe that's what happened! I'll make sure to check it ☺️ If you're planning to use the paper with this printer, my only suggestion would be to look for a glossy double-sided paper for inkjet printer, however I can't recommend anything specifically. If you haven't looked into this option yet, outsourcing the photocard printing to a printing house might be more cost-effective.
omg what is that glitter sticker paper brand?? I love how it looks
I got mine in the local stationery shop, it's a Polish brand unfortunately not available globally :/ Try searching "self-adhesive holographic paper" on the Amazon :)
@@KariArtspace Thank you for replying! I will look that up :)
What do you use to cut out sticker packs?
I'm cutting my stickers using Cricut Maker, I've made a couple of videos about that, check it out :)
Hi! Can I ask you which color setting do you use with the printer? Thanks
Hi! I'm normally using Canon Colour matching, also when printing from Photoshop, I'm letting the printer manage the colours without further adjustments and have been happy with the results so far. Let me know if this answered your question :)
@@KariArtspace Thank you so much! I ask you because I'd like to buy this Canon printer, but for exemple with my actual Canon, colors are not so brilliant, so I was curious if there is a setting to make the colors more beautiful. Thank you!
@@KariArtspace Do you use a special setting instead on Photoshop/Illustrator o not?
Just the basics really, I'm always choosing high quality as opposed to medium or low, besides you might also try choosing the glossy photo paper as media type even when printing on matte, this way the printer will deposit more ink and the colours would seem brighter. In addition, make sure your artwork is in CMYK as opposed to RGB colour mode. Are the colours unsatisfactory when printing on matte paper or glossy as well?
@@KariArtspace I usually use matte paper and not the glossy one, so I don't know. Anyway, thanks for your help, I will try to "play" with the setting.
What cricut are you using here pls 😊
I'm using Cricut Maker :)
Would love a vid on how to print on tissue paper! ❤
Hello, Can you print panorama with the IP8750 ? if yes which size ?
Hi! You can customise the paper size, keeping in mind that the maximum custom media size is 329 mm x 483 mm. So I would say the printer is not designed specifically for that, I suggest you look into purchasing the Canon Pixma PRO-200.
Work dtf paper in this printer?😊
If it's meant for an inkjet printer - absolutely :)
@@KariArtspace can u put some link where i can find it? Pls😊❤️
@@lalalandentertainment318 I've seen some videos where crafters used this one, the results are pretty good! a.co/d/iRmL3MY. Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/kPmAXB3-NCE/v-deo.html
have you ever replaced printheads on this printer?
Hi! Nope, I haven't.
I would love to see some prints of you in your bikini !
Other than that, thanks for your input
