I love how you ask for permission to do things. It does make it feel very safe and it made some triggers I've never really been fond of feel nice. Usually I'm not a fan of spray bottles but something about being asked if it was okay first made it more appealing to hear it after.
Wow, I'm really impressed honestly. I usually don't tend to listen to many male asmrtists, I'm not really sure why, but you have a very nice voice and a smile that could light up the dark side of the moon. I agree with a lot of the other comments, you have a very warm, kind vibe and it's perfect.

Alot of his videos have been helping me when I cry. He's very comforting. Like a gentle giant. It's lovely to hear a man be caring to you. I was basically unable to breathe and crying and the words went to my heart. In a cruel world he is truly a gift.

I’ve never felt safer or more relaxed during an ASMR video before. In fact, I haven’t felt this safe and calm in a really long time. I lost the person that made me feel safest almost 3 years ago now. He too was strong and masculine, yet almost impossibly gentle. I cried about half way through from this wash of relief I felt - it’s strange and beautiful what gentle human connection, even from a long distance does to the heart. Thank you so much for creating a safe space to relax and let go for a little while ♥️♥️

I have chronic PTSD from severe abuse from my father growing up. And this is almost like therapy for me. I've never felt safe with any man truly if I'm honest They say you pick men like your father and I guess they're right. I haven't dated in 10 years now intentionally. I'm so happy I found this channel I never realized how safe and comfortable a total stranger can make you feel. To me I see a very genuine caring person who truly wants to help other people and that's exactly what he does. We don't have enough people like him in the world I can't go to sleep every night without him LOL I've always had insomnia but not anymore.

I agree! Usually I really dislike spray sounds (they even wake me up from my sleep when I’ve accidentally fallen alseep to a video that includes spray sounds) but these were super nice. I think it’s because he adjusted the volume perfectly.
Best part is the hair brushing. Nothing beats someone playing with your hair when you're stressed or need to fall asleep. Always puts me right out!!

You have a very controlled, calming video presence. It’s similar to a few of my other favourite artists where it seems like a conscious curation of motion. The questions you pose to us the viewers have the right amount of pause, like you are actively listening to us, rather than rushing through whatever response you might have gotten in a true interaction. It speaks to a level of attention, but true attention with care paid to the wellbeing of the viewer.
Which is to say, your videos aren’t just calming but also safe.

I think your videos matter more to people because the sentiment is so obviously there. It just comes across so easily that you want to be respectful and calming in the most sincere ways possible, it’s never about pumping out content to please the algorithm or trying to get as many likes and subs as possible. You’re not putting on an act or chasing numbers and accolades. There’s no artificial or forced perception to it, it’s such a natural way of doing it. And the feeling of being cared for comes across so strongly, I’ve gotta thank you for that. I have so many of your videos in a playlist alongside other artists and I always find myself happening upon one of yours I might not have seen in a while and they never fail to settle and soothe me. I can just stick it on, lay down and drift. I appreciate the drawn out sounds and motions, the way that you seem as though there’s no rush or time limit (it’s almost like that feeling of falling asleep around somebody but discovering that they’re still by your side when you wake up, if that makes any sense), the sweet affirmations and words of advice you tie in with the ambient sounds and even the added effects and music you place in. It’s so good. I super appreciate the longer videos because I know I don’t have the pressure of trying to fall asleep before the video ends.

Sad to say, even ASMR is now about gimmicks mostly and trying to make quick, easy money. It saw it starting to happen years ago and couldn't see why other people didn't see it, and worse, people willingly keep feeding into it.
I have my few who I watch & listen to and I don't often add to them, even though I do always explore to see if I can find "the genuine ones". I also try to be hard to fool. A nice, gentle face usually still can't persuade me if I feel that the rest of it is off. I say all of this to say that, yes, Whispering Gentleman makes me so glad! So genuine, from the beginning, no matter how far back you go through videos on his channel. I really can't say how much I appreciate it. And how beautiful it is to find the ones who make it feel like the very beginning of ASMR before it became a trend and a fad to be played with.

Most Asmr UA-camrs do these types of asmrs and don’t do too well as they don’t know exactly the line between awkward and actually comforting and caring. I find the best ASMR videos are the ones who stick to simplicity. I find some people try too hard to be overly creative and it tends to miss the mark. I must say, this is one of the best ASMR videos I have ever listened to in recent time. I found this to be very effective in assisting with sleep meditation. As someone who works in Emergency Services, I try to find as many healthy and natural sleep aids as I can and this video definitely helps. Thank you, my friend. 💙

I get feral about my hair but at the same time I like having it brushed slowly. I can go from rabid badger to happy kitty in 10 seconds
