this is probably one of the best videos for the summit I have seen, everyone else does some stupid fisheye lens or some crap, but this is very clear and enjoyable.
You are foolish who don't care that your wife can become widow and your children can become orphans because of your accidental death . No body will take responsibility for them after you .
I work as a mountaineering guide for a park in Colorado, and was recently asked by a visitor to the park if I would ever attempt Everest. Caught me off guard needless to say but hey, who knows? But given views like this I just might have to look into it :).
Great stuff Alex....you had a relatively mellow summit, there were not that many others up there. That stuffed animal looks like a real dog! Cheers, congratulations
@@LordJagd Very much a grind to the top with many technical sections, steep drop offs, lots of crevasses to cross, rock falls, precarious seracs to cross under, not to mention all the false summits towards the peak. Despite all this, a real lifetime accomplishment. Would I climb Rainier again? YES!

Yo Alex, beautiful footage! I'm wondering why was there nobody else up there at the time?? were you just early? must be a wonderful feeling to be up there alone :)
Thanks Marvin! The weather this year was really good for a long amount of time so a lot of people summited earlier in the season. We waited for most people to go and went for a later weather window. Basically had the mountain to ourselves on summit day, so special.
Hi Anindit, yes I previously submitted Cho Oyu without oxygen and Lhotse. I was part of the SummitClimb Expedition for all these trips and would recommend them to anyone.
No it’s a misconception that Everest is overcrowded. If you wait for the initial rush to go you can get days like this. However most people don’t want to wait in case the weather window disappears!
Wow... But people who have that much money to pay a climb there.... Cant take there trash down? It sickens me that this beautiful mountain gets trashed that hard.
Talk about a perfect day to summit... wow.
No wind, clear sky, top of the world.
Congratulations!
Man …. Nailed the weather …
you do realize that it is always sunny above the clouds

That Lhotse looks very near to Everest.
It's "near" 😅 The Pole first conquered Lothse and then Everest without going down to the camp 🫶
Please more of your filming ! 🙏🏼
The walking parts are amazing ! 🤩
I can look them for hours ! 🥹

Bro it's amazing. Once in my lifetime I have to go there
Congratulations on the summit! Looks beautiful :)
Can't ask for better weather I'd say.
It's always sunny above the clouds.
Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing this! Truly breathtaking!
Early in the summit day, awesome!. You got there ahead of the crowds and you got some great weather. Gratz.
Thanks. There were no crowds at all, as the weather was good all season most people summited a week before this.
@@Alexholt90 honestly made me realize how doable this could be on a good weather day

Human traffic jams on the way to the summit. Don't be part of the problem, choose a less trafficked mountain.

It's a Lion!
I love videos like this because they save me so much time and money.
The highest I've ever summited is Mt. Rainier in Washington. Great work and congrats!
How was that climb? Difficult?

Great weather there ! I was at EBC and Kala Patthar in April 2013 . After 2 times more in Nepal with stunning, modest and nature loving people there.
"Hey Mom!!! Look at me, I'm King of the Mountain!!!!"
Outstanding
Looks absolutely beautiful! Wow.
Wow awesome job! Also that weather is looking real nice
Truly blessed!!! What a sky!!

Thanks Alex ! Amazing 🤩
My pleasure!
congratulations on your summit!
Amazing view
i love the sherpa wearing a regular ass baseball hat like its another day at the office
Awesome video! How did you get started finding a group to climb with and set up all the logistics of getting there?
A friend recommended the expedition company SummitClimb and I have used them for all my Himalayan trips.
Looks just like my last skiing holiday. Dont know what all the fuss is about.
Wow. What a view.
Congrats! Have a good way back and down.
Just breathtaking! Thanks for capturing this view! Can you see K2 from the summit of Everest?
Thanks! K2 is in the Pakistan Karakoram. In this video you can however see Makalu, Lhotse and Cho Oyu.
@@Alexholt90 Cool! Yep K2 is a few hundred miles northwest so I didn't know. Awesome video for sure!

You got lucky with the nice weather
Pack it in Pack it out. Pick up your litter.
If you have it, can you upload the entire hike from Basecamp all the way to the summit?
AmazIng accomplished!
Very beautiful clip
Tremendous job🔥🎉man
Congratulations!
awesomeeeee ❤️
Great footage👍How many great climbers have died trying to get there? Marty Hoey, Boardman & Tasker, Mallory & Irvine♥
Hey Alex. I was just wondering did you summit any other above 8000m peaks before Everest? And were you a part of an expedition team?
Hi Anindit, yes I previously submitted Cho Oyu without oxygen and Lhotse.
I was part of the SummitClimb Expedition for all these trips and would recommend them to anyone.
Really is beautiful
amazing
How long did it take you climb to the summit?
Must be a really hard climb to reach the summit, but it must be a great thrill when you succeed.
Most are too exhausted to notice, then have to worry about getting down.
Heard the descent is the hardest than the ascent.
Fantastic
Is the prominent peak @0:10 Makalu?
Great !!
How many do you paid? Have you carried out the material? Or a Sherpa do it for you
You're turning it into the world's highest garbage can.
Thought I saw a bear up there.
More vídeos please
how long did you spend up there on top of the mountain?
North col or South col or West col?
South Col, the North Col route from Tibet was not open this year.
No jam?

is that Lhoste @ 0:14
Wow
Did you find anybody up there?
It feels like another world, views are stunning ! I am just wondering how much preparations it takes to go for such a trek / climb
More like how much money it takes for such a climb
bro really wasted $45,000

Is it old video or u climbed it a month back?

Are the Hillary Steps gone?
Yes it’s more of a snow step now.

No curvature.
Hopefully one day they'll ban the climbing of Everest, just like they have Ayres Rock or Uluru and just leave that beautiful mountain alone!
Probably just saved a bunch of people 50 grand
idk man, looks easy to me
I can understand the wish to be there, but I cannot assept all the trash that all are leaving there!!!
And dead bodies
@@pandabear1341 dead bodies is worst that can be seen there!
If you’re referring to the items you see in the video, they are all flags and pieces of cloths mountaineers tie up after summoning as a memento
Yeah same . If I had opportunity I would go.
Looks so easy may have to give it ago .
