@@trader2137 Choppers? I think you mean chopper. Singular. A helicopter has only touched down on the summit of Everest once in history and is unlikely to be allowed to do so again. I'm surprised Eurocopter (the helicopter manufacturer) allowed their pilot to do so given any kind of accident on the mountain would have been a disaster. A helicopter crash on the summit of Everest, or anywhere near the summit for that matter, would have quite literally vandalized one of the most iconic places in the world. It took an expert pilot in a state-of-the-art helicopter to do so safely. The original commenter is correct. Rescue helicopters have never been used for a rescue higher than Camp 2 on Everest. And even that is pushing the limits of what could be done safely with rescue helicopters. The fact that DJI was able to get this footage using a DJI Mavic 3 is extremely impressive given the conditions that exist at that altitude. It wouldn't surprise me if they used custom firmware to have the drone better handle the conditions (not just the thin air but the wind). Either way, it's impressive.
I am always grateful to those people that are slightly crazier than me and actually climb to the top of places like this. I will forever admire the view from my chair.
I have flown a Mavic Pro (first gen) at 6000m and by -30°C and it behaved amazingly well. Only thing to take into account is that it won't climb as fast as usual as air is thinner. Keep that in mind if you plan to make a low pass 😉

Shows the utmost respect and affection for Mavic. As a user, I am proud. Congratulations.
Not only the air density is 1/4 that of sea level, but also atmospheric turbulence there is not a risk factor to ignore. Great achievement DJI, hats off!
At around 9000m or 30.000ft elevation, O2 density goes to 1/3 of sea levels which means 3 times more thrust is required to keep drone at hovering. Impressive.
Sorry man but it’s air density is reduced not o2… also thrust remains the same but velocity needs to increase… but it’s not 3 x as the velocity term is squared P = 1/2 ρ v^2
@@stravic yes, thrust has to be same to keep drone stable which requires higher velocity. Since formula you Said scales with square of velocity, around 1,73 times of rpm should be sufficent. Right?
It could as well be flown from the base. Base camp is at 5000m roughly, so that point is going to be at a distance of roughly 4.5-5km from your remote, you would only have to bypass the 500m from takeoff point limit (it's a software imposed limit). The real limit is if the battery can hold on to such a trip at that height.
Speechless that a “consumer” drone can do this! Unique point of view for the rest of the people that just can’t achieve such a huge mountain.

@@CarlHancock heli flew over 7500m on annapurna and dropped ppl at 7000m
I swear, they’ll be sending a drone to space next
1:13 absolutely stunning
Imagine that you forgot the battery pack at the base camp when you already on top of the mountain.
that would be me
It's not hard to remember if it's that important to you

reminds me of a quote: "it amazes me that we know so little of nature, and yet so little can give us so much of power" .
I am always grateful to those people that are slightly crazier than me and actually climb to the top of places like this. I will forever admire the view from my chair.
Wow, epic footage! The Mavic 3 is beast in windy conditions.
I have flown a Mavic Pro (first gen) at 6000m and by -30°C and it behaved amazingly well. Only thing to take into account is that it won't climb as fast as usual as air is thinner. Keep that in mind if you plan to make a low pass 😉
My mavic pro original has only been 500m asl 🙁
@@voongnz I unlocked mine and it now goes about 2000m above take off level. Very handy for mountain shooting.
@@MTO_Brothers how did you do this ? i have a mini 3 pro and going to nepal next week. my max flight altitude is 4000m....
I have Mavic Pro v1 and have flown 4100 m asl. Behaved perfectly and clearly could climb much more.
@@MTO_Brothers How did you do this? Would love to know!
Incredible!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This is definitely an achievement that will go down in history. I think it's one of the best aerial shots I've ever taken with a drone. The 20th century is said to be the century of images. Now in the 21st century, I think it will develop further with drones. I think that one signpost has now been written. It's a great accomplishment. really wonderful . Shows the utmost respect and affection for Mavic. As a user, I am proud. Congratulations.
Not only the air density is 1/4 that of sea level, but also atmospheric turbulence there is not a risk factor to ignore. Great achievement DJI, hats off!
Beautiful footage! Absolutely breathtaking!! 😊
Right?
Increible video! Increíble que vuele a mas de 9000 mts. Dji siempre dando más de lo que parece, ésto es épico!
Breathtakingly beautiful, majestic view!
This is so beautiful. Truly jaw dropping drone shoots. This is why DJI is number one in drone technology.
Breathtaking...the air is literally sooo "thin" up there...This is some really good drone works man)))
No need to put thin in apostrophes - the air is THIN.
@@bladerunner7146 the "air" sure is thin up there
@@cvspvr the air "is" surely thin
yup. can confirm. The air is indeed, "thin" up there.
Heaven in Nepal ♥️🥺
Do you call a cold dangerous mountain where a lot of people died heaven ? Seriously ? Your conception of heaven is distorted.
