Kyt Thry yeah that's pretty much exactly what I've been doing except running the DMG through it instead. I'm going to be working towards getting 2 dmgs, a gba and the electribe all in sync, either via midi or analog sync or maybe both, which will let me incorporate the electribe into the sound
I've read of this happening to volcas also. I've only synced via analog sync once, but I managed to get it to work correctly. There is a halfspeed and full speed mode for nanoloop sync, check the manual on how to activate them www.nanoloop.com/two/nanoloop27.html There is also an option in the electribe under global parameter called "sync unit" which you can set to 1 or 2 steps, this might help also. Sorry, I don't fully understand the electribe yet as I spend most of my time on the game boys.
I cut a dmg cable, a micro cable, then soldered them together. You can do it yourself pretty easy, check this link out if you wanna give it a crack chipmusic.org/forums/topic/1361/gameboy-micro-link-cable-and-nl-23-sync-tests/
Are you using legit versions of nanoloop or are you using a rom on flashcards? I've got a mint DMG, pocket and color I've been wanting to do something with.
thebeetlejoose I'm using real nanoloop carts, which I'm pretty sure is the only way to run it. You should try nanoloop one or the new mono cart for your DMG
Yeah I saw the mono online here in the states. Seems pretty dope, but only 3 channels. Would you suggest the GBA version of nano loop at all? My friend used the older vers that had 8 channels and he always complained it wasn't nearly as good as the original GB version.
thebeetlejoose Yeah nanoloop 2 is great. I'm using it in this video on the game boy micro synced to nanoloop one. In a this song nanoloop 2 is doing the percussion and deeper bass parts. It's what I'm using to write most of my music at the the moment.
Dope AF! 🙌
This is better than most rap instrumentals out today
Wow, this was absolutely killer! Love it!
Ok, might believe it's great
..though, two nanoloops?
This is awesome I love it.

Yep, you are good at that for sure
cool sound!

just came here to like my comment
this shit hit hard
Insane. Structure, sounds, everything.
siq work
love this, just wandering what you are using the electribe for, ive used mine just for a bit of reverb and vocal samples with a single gba

Classic Mistake do you find that the gba syncs to the electribe at half time atall? i cant seem to get it working to the same timings

where'd you get the sync cable for DMG to GB Micro?

I want to know if you know about arduino
eric jackson yeah, I’ve successfully synced the dmg to the electribe with arduino before. However I no longer use the electribe in my setup.
