Mate you probably don't live that far from me and its an absolute pleasure watching your videos. You really have a talent in presenting and keeping people engaged and i would suggest that you maybe make videos on other topics, celtic history for example. Having a talent for presenting is not as easy as some might think and you're genuinely better than most i see on our local shows.
Anker makes one smaller than the ugreen charger it’s a great charger Also i recommend the huntsman Swiss army knife the scissors and the mini saw are useful
I published a video with my full kit list too: ua-cam.com/video/0vycOTyTnq4/v-deo.htmlsi=qWVOPwKhkB3_F6vO Although quite a few expensive items on there
Im a new subscriber, been a long time subscriber of people like outdoorboys etc. your videos are the ones that are actually making me realise i can get a slice of that life in the uk. Cheers for the tips and the extremely intresting documentary style videos. My 5 year old is going to die laughing when fart noise comes from mummys back pack 😂
So happythat you finally got your 100k award. Onto many more videos... from behind the bins and elsewhere. Havea a great christmas and a happy new year.
If we're including a body wash, I'd add a bottle of Perspirex or Driclor to this list. They're super-strength antiperspirants, and the strongest version of Perspirex can protect you from sweat (and thus stinkiness) for 4-5 days. You also don't have to apply it every day. So if you're in a limited-washing scenario, a little bottle of Perspirex really helps. It's only £10-ish for a bottle and they barely weigh anything.
"stabby stabby stabby" 😂😂 Thanks for reminding me I need to get a knife! And congrats on your award! I've made myself one of aluminium foil for my 75 subscribers.. 🤣
@@StephenJReid yeah, I'm very happy with every subscriber!! Most of them are from 12 years ago when I was still in horses, so different audience. Guess 7 or so are new, something like that. And a few of the horse people unsubscribed, which I understand. It's just hard to make UA-cam like videos enough for views, especially because I want to make 'boring' ones 🙈😅 But thanks for reminding me that people who do subscribe must be positive about the content AND for letting me know you also started somewhere.. which makes sense, but still... Well, at least I'm glad YT made me find your channel. And I still don't like hiking 🤣🤣
cheers for the shout out 😊. I might actually get a set of those lights lol , was thinking if someone came out of the dark on a camp it wouldn’t be as scary with those going 😂😂
LED string lights have come in very useful for me or should I say my friend while camping at The Bushmoot. I have a string of blue LEDs that I've rigged up with a joule thief circuit. They'll run for 2 solid weeks on a pair of AA batteries in parallel with no drop in brightness. I hung them up over the entrance way to my mate's tent so the big lummox could find his way in at night regardless of how much he'd had to drink.
I just want to say the LED string lights do have a small useful function. At night if you've had to leave your tent for whatever reason (walk, toilet, get water) you might not know the exact location of your tent, instead of just walking towards the vicinity of your tent, you can use the remote to turn on the lights and you'll know exactly where your tent is. Not vital, but something i do every time now.
Great video Stephen.... At last, some "useful" socks and slippers for Christmas 😀 Big congratulations on your 100k subscribers.... very much deserved 👍
Congrats on your 100K play button. So well deserved. Best wishes for Xmas from Spain, my home of 21 years. Ps I wrote to Santa asking for a bag of Tayto Cheese & Onion! 🤣
I have a small Victorinox penknife I bought about 20 years ago, which has a little tool for peeling oranges, as well as the usual things, including scissors. Haven't seen one since.
UA-cam recently brought me to you Stephen, I am very entertained 😁. Love your humour and crazy energy! Can you list your other channels in your "About" please?
Be aware that some people may not appreciate the multi-coloured lights. Not a problem if you wild camp somewhere by yourself, but if you're camping around other people, or on official camp sites, make sire it's ok with them. I wanted to get some, but I mainly camp in Quebec's national parks and "ambiance lights" are forbidden on all camp sites.
Ha! Guess what we got Sam for his birthday (8th) yes the fart machine so he now shouts he's got an itchy bum in the forest plus puts the fart machine behind his grandparents cushions who arent amused, thanks for reminding us to give him a fun childhood! And we'll done on the subscriber award! Can also be used when camping to start fires and flash for help 😂. Ps forestry contractors do work all hours can't imagine anything more creepy than working in a harvester in the dark. Next time you'll have to dress as zombies and scare the he'll out of them 😂😂😂😂
😂 this is excellent. Hmm not sure I’d want to pretend I’m the walking dead near someone driving a machine that can chop me in half and skin me in 5 seconds 😂
I've been looking at that Highlander chair but couldn't find any info on if it can be rolled/folded up to fit inside your pack, thought I'd finally get to see the answer but alas 😅 was hoping to make it into a semi circle to slide into the pack and then fill the inside with my quilt.
Congratz on your UA-cam milestone! Don't let it turn into a millstone though ;-) Already had made a note of "surely the remote controlled fart machine needs to be in this listing", and finally, right at the end, there it was! :-) BTW: at the 'mini backpack' at around 9:53 for a couple of seconds the image and sound seem to be out of sync, or at least for me it looked/sounded that way?
Thanks 🙂 I actually feel more relaxed now I’ve got it, the build up was like a millstone! Glad it’s not hanging over me now. Yeah I overlaid a couple of parts that don’t quite match for a few seconds
I only carry the absolute minimum and use a smaller Swiss Army knife, but even so, yours lacks one essential function - scissors. Especially for cutting nails, they're indispensable. Merry Christmas.
I found Swiss army knife scissors break when used for nail cutting because I used to do that with them a lot and always broke them. Maybe I have tough naiks
I think I will have to Unsub, as I have scoured the links to all the other great bits of kit some have been added to my named after a River basket. and was left incredibly disappointed to see no link to the Fart Machine. The most important bit of kit to take camping, Hiking, Mountain Biking or even Kayaking and you forgot to give us a link. I'll have to now go and search for it myself. oh the hassle of that too. As I will no doubt end up looking a some really random stuff and my make an involuntary purchase whilst in shits and giggles mode. So cracking gift ideas or simply items to add to out kit to take with us on trips out. Loved the clip of you winding up your Sister with the fart box as that was a brilliantly fun video.

hi stephen, I recently discovered your youtube channel after getting into hiking and wild camping. I've binged a loooot of your videos already lol! I live in Wales and plan to make my way up Snowdon soon but think I'll start off with the Llanberis pass lol, just a nice long easy climb. I hope one day to tackle Crib Goch!

So got me some LED lights and a fart machine. Told the wife don't worry its for camping, the man on youtube said so.
Excellent 🤣
Lol🎉

@@Leo-fluffy The ANKER charger looks good, although it’s only about 20 grams lighter and only has one output.
@ no, it’s got two ports it’s the whole reason i bought it, the anker 323 is the model it’s tiny for what it is.
Yay! I chose the huntsman knife too... the little saw is great and the scissors are the best for getting into packaging with.
Congrats on the 100k. Well deserved. Upwards and onwards.
Perfect timing! Just starting to build a kit list for a WHW attempt from scratch on a budget...been quite some time since I last did any camping.

Thank you for linking the clothing line! Such a simple thing but it will be very useful during my travels next year
It was an impulse purchase at the time. My friends laughed when I brought it out in the Bothy. But 10min later everyone was hanging kit on it
Got the fairy lights to liven up my winter camps, especially my Christmas Eve camp which I do instead of Midnight Mass, but just as tipsy 😅
