Downtown Farmingdale, NY - 1999 vs. 2024 Main Street

A couple months ago I found footage taken by a guy named Tom Carrol in 1999 of Main Street, Farmingdale, New York. I now live on Main Street in Farmingdale and thought it would be cool to go for a walk and record what street looks like in 2024 to compare the two. Hope you enjoy

Wow I remember so much of this I have lived in Famringdale all my life. It's crazy how much one can forget until you watch this. But I do remember most of the 1999

There were 2 places I really wanted to see. One of them was Bollingers, they had amazing hero’s. Loved going there with my family, in 1999 I was 10, but I think we started going around 2001/2002. The other place was the Army/Navy store between bollingers and the bank. Don’t remember what years that store was around but I went there a few times as a kid when I wanted to check out what army supplies they had

I've lived here since 2008 but have had family here my whole life. I remember that 1999 vibe. Miss the Downtown for sure, but for the most part the changes have been positive. I'll be waiting patiently for the 2049 update!

I was 9 in 1999. Never really saw Farmingdale much then.
