    I was about ready to purchase this after doing what I felt was a lot of research on different models. I fell upon a Ebike forum that had many recent customer service disaster examples from this company that has made me change my mind. That is unfortunate as it looks like it could be a strong option. It is too expensive to have no customer support or warranty service from what many others have been stating.

      I own this bike and I ride it in weekends and it's my favorite ebike and I have no issues. The company responded to all of my questions and the follow up is amazing. I like their bikes. I have 3 of their models and none of them have any issues all work perfectly. I think you should give it a try. You don't know who is sharing this negativity. Maybe their competitors? I would not review nor recommend their products if they had issues. I actually praise how good they are.

    6hrs on the trail doing heavy work is insane. Besides lowering the weight in the next model “if” technology permits keeping it the same price as this one will go down several hundred dollars before the next Cobra 2. Thanks for the review as this provided more than the few others I’ve seen. You have a new subscriber.

    Great video and review! I am test riding one today.
    Could you cover, if possible, the options on changing settings so we can use it as a class 2, 750W?
    I believe you can set the max speed to 20 mph and it automatically limits the wattage scale from 1500W to 750W.

      @@ElectricVehicleSpace Thank you! Went on a test ride yesterday and the shop showed me that feature. Even at a 20mph, 750W limit, this thing would climb a 10% grade grassy hill with no problem! I had it on 1st gear, and pedaled a bit and the power draw never went over 350W. I weigh close to 225 lbs, too. This will be perfect for my hunting trips, especially on hills!

    Not carbon fiber by the way. Just a similated CF pattern. 1000W is merely slightly above average for a mid-motor mountain bike. Also, saying _"geared for torgue and climbing"_ is overwhelmingly the person doing the gear shifting.

    • @geemy9675
      @geemy9675 2 роки тому +1

      that's the problem with those powerful e-bikes that are not class 3. you cant ride them on the road, can't register them, can't ride on bike trails. on a dirt bike track you'll just look stupidly and dangerously slow. If you're willing to take the risk, good for you, but would you drive with no license or insurance? I don't think it's worth the additional power over a class 3. 750W rated motors are already plenty of power for a pedal bike.

    • @Nphen
      @Nphen 2 роки тому +2

      @@geemy9675 Unless someone is in over-regulated Europe, using a 1000w bike on a lower-rated trail shouldn't be a problem. So long as they keep their speed appropriate. Speed & courtesy are the important factors on a trail. I have a DIY build that can go over 35mph if I want to on local roads (cops aren't going to pull over a pedal bike here), but I never go that fast on a trail where there are pedestrians. I see cyclists on bikes with no motor who rudely blow by walking pedestrians without signalling or slowing down.

    • @geemy9675
      @geemy9675 2 роки тому +1

      @@Nphen yes I think in most places you are not likely to get pulled over by a cop if your ebike looks like a bike. if it looks like a moped or motorcycle, then it's a bit different. but if you have a serious crash with a car, another bike or a pedestrian, I'm wondering about the consequences. I don't think insurances have a track record of being very forgiving
      I'm pretty sure you could get in a bad situation if that happens on the public roads. off road I'm not sure what are the implications, depending if it's a class 1/2/3 bike trail, a trail for atv/dirt bikes, a private property, etc. I wouldn't be comfortable riding an ebike on the road and be in in a situationof lack of motorcycle license/registration/insurance. it it was an eMTB just to ride on trails, I think a class 3 750W nominal mid drive with up to 160Nm,1300W and pedal assist up to 28mph would be plenty enough and not worth the added weight/reduced range of a 1000+W motor.
      1it would be nice to have a class 4 classification for the road with 30/35mph on thottle, regulatory safety equipment like helmet, blinkers, lights that could be ridden legally on the roads

    Those tires are huge. There's literally no place i could lock this bike in the nordic countries that has bike racks due to the tire width. Is it possible to get like a normal thin tire on it or it would look stupid since the rest of the bike skeleton is bulky?
