Not saying he wouldn't have become a legend or trying to down talk ?uest at all because that dude definitely holds a special place in my hip-hop heart compartment. Just adding on to your post about Dilla being an inspiration to ?uest

The right hand melody is very close to a vocal interpretation -- even mimics it in my view --- I can imagine the songwriter heard this as the vocal melody; probably felt like actuals words would hide the beauty and I would agree.
