    fascinating thank you. can you define the various turf-terms e.g., clamp, rear, rig, rick, rickle that come up in similar clips and articles?

    • @giftsofireland9694
      @giftsofireland9694  2 роки тому +3

      yes!
      Footing: like in my video
      Heaping: putting it up in a pyramind one big heap to dry
      Drawing it home: Getting it brought in to the shed
      Cutting turf: process of taking it from the ground and into the machine to spread it out in chunks onto the land
      Hopper: the machine thats used to cut it onto the ground
      Turning the turf: option to dry it by turning it upside down.
      I will do this on another video - great suggestion!

      use a gasifier stove or make one, the model is very easy to make with steel cans, cut barrels, or even beer cans depending on size.

      Hey the man! For burning. We use it for our open fires at the winter, or at the range all year round where we can cook and heat our water.

    Protection of peat bogs should be a big priority, because they host large amounts of biodiversity and capture a lot of carbon. Turf is also incredibly inefficient for warming and energy production. You would better off burning even lignite.
