Why did Joe Cairo come to Spade's apartment and assume he had the Falcon? Why did the ship captain deliver the Falcon to Spade? Why didn't Spade just run off with the Falcon for himself?

Nice Synopsis man. The first time I didn't get the movie, then multiple times I got the hang of it and I enjoyed the dialogue, the characters, the ending.
