Where did they even find a mistake? Huge score but absolutely everything in that was flawless. Even the dismount. Knees nice and close together and stuck cold with her feet together. With this, Fan Ye won not only for her but for all the legendary Chinese athletes who revolutionized beam and never won a major title doing so. The extension of the legs and feet, the toe point, the hands, it’s all so reminiscent of Yang Bo. Absolutely brilliant
The one small mistake is the front tuck sheep jump combination is a little bit slow and she did a small hop/ jump after the sheep jump. Any other part of the routine was one of the of all time 😁
My only real issue with this routine has always been the punch front+sheep jump combo. It's a definite pause between them. A very slow connection. Then there is a slight adjustment on the sheep landing. -0.10 - lack of tempo in connection -0.05 - slight adjustment on landing of sheep jump -0.05 - relaxed/incorrect foot posture in dismount (her feet are pointed when she leaves the beam, but they flatten through the rest of the skill) I'm not sure I would take all these, but they're what I can see might be the deductions taken.

Fan Ye and Yang Bo had the same beam coach and maybe that's why they were both sooo good in terms of rhythm and execution.

Yes but I think at the time connections didn’t have to be fast, you just had to not completely stop moving
