I love the fact that they are immediately jumping back in with Elita's story. It would've been so easy to leave her off the page for a while and let people grow even more angry with her character, and yet, DWJ has decided to show us that she too is struggling like everyone else. Cliffjumper is amongst fellow Autobots, and yet, while they share a similar plight, I can't help but feel his story is a parallel to Thundercrackers. Two bots, amongst their piers, who just don't fit in with the current status quo.
Cliffjumper did not recognize some of the other autobots. Then we see Warpath. Its loosely following the cartoon continuity. Warpaths first appearance in the cartoons is Dinobot Island! My theory is these partial sparks are going to create a group of dump lizards! AKA THE DINOBOTS!
I love the fact that Cliff isn’t worried about Prime or the war, he just wants to see Carly again. I’ve loved seeing him form the bond Bumblebee usually forms with Spike but with Carly. Great video, Moonbase!
We may get an Autobot combiner or something else? I have to say Cliffjumper is a goat for what he's about to do, using his clans Sparks to make new Autobots. This selfless act makes me think he's prime worthy, but that's just me. 😏❤ 0:41
What's great about Astrotrain ramming into Soundwave Is if you put in the Tomas the tank engine theme meme sound effect while your reading the bit, its 70 times funnier!
3 days late but wow issues 15 and 16 were absolutely top tier. Quick things from Issue 15 am glad to know where Cliffjumper ended up from the blast from Issue 12, and am even more happy to discover that Warpath lives, I was sad when he seemingly died with Kup and Huffer, way back in Issue 7 so with him being brought back made me happy. I also had an aneurysm when Trailbreaker was again denied to be revived again. Now on to Issue 16 Optimus needs some therapy again, and again he slips into this unbridled rage we've seen it with Shockwave, and now when he lost control and shot the damn and endangerd the two humans. It is very likely it's because of what Sparky did with the matrix all of these visions with baby Spike seem to get more corrupted which leads to more bouts of rage, Hopefully, Optimus can figure it out soon since Megatron is returning. TRAILBREAKER hell yeah, am really excited that he has finally been introduced to the Energon universe. I gotta say He was one of my favorites from the 1984 cartoon, his vehicle mode and his jolly attitude always were the best and his appearance in James Roberts's mtmte comic certainly added to that enjoyment of the character. Am excited to see how his force field ability will help the Autobots on Earth, and yes his leg design is cool!! I definitely like the switch of color pallets on Cybertron, it makes the whole situation on Cybertron more dire, and the brutality that Bluestreak showed when he killed Ramjet further pushed the Narrative of low resources, you can not waste Enrgon. Like in Dune how the Fremen revere and preserve water so much that when you die, they take the deceased water from their body to use. But am also highly interested in Cliffjumper's hopeful mission, to take his friend's fragmented sparks to the well of sparks to make something new. I love the introduction of the well of sparks, its very much akin to that of Transformers primes well of all sparks. Overall am really excited to see what happens next and hopefully, Arcee, Beachcomber, and the kids can find Ultra Magnus.
Moonbase, great information as always. The writing on this series is a real standout. To give the Transformers souls, fantastic. I agree with you about the artwork as well. Beautiful. Who knew Cliffjumper would become a star. However, that ending, lord Megatron! Chilling. I am looking forward to more of your content. Thank you.
Gonna put my prediction here for what Autobot could come out of the Well of All Sparks: I think whoever it is could have some essence of Sparky within them when they emerge. The thought being that Sparky is now part of the All Spark himself and could re-manifest through the Well of All Sparks. The visions that Prime is having also seem to be amalgamating some human child imagery along with mechatronic cables and such, on the surface it feels like it should be Sparky’s memories of young Spike but it seems to be developing into something more (my interpretation anyway). Been thinking this since the issue came out so it felt like as good of place as any to lay my theory out. Thanks for the great content!
I've been a transformers fan since i was but a wee lad, and a comics fan for an equally long time. No other comic line has gripped me like the Energon Universe has, especially their transformers work, and, though i understand my own biases, I feel that no other comic I've come across has been so on the mark so often. This issue had me verbally exclaiming every other page (ESPECIALLY when trailbraker was revealed to still be alive), and it's got me super pumped to see what happens next. I wonder if Cliff will make it to the well in the next two issues, or if that will have to wait for nearer the end of DWJ's run? Either way, I'm so glad you've been making videos on these titles, as it's been a great way for me to feel like i can share the excitement with folks. And to boot, your thoughts are always well worded, the editing is effective, and man.. I'm just happy I found this channel! Keep it up, you're awesome!!
Thanks for the kind words! I'm excited to talk about the series, glad others are digging it, too! Personally, I think the Cliffjumper stuff won't take too long to move forward...but I've been known to be wrong before...
I'm thinking the well of Sparks giving birth to one bot...that combines from five others(depending upon how many spark chunks he has). This will give the Autobots their own combiner to even the odds a tad. Two combiners vs one. Plus the addition of Thundercracker as well evens the forces some(if he joins).
It’d be crazy if the Autobot that Cliffjumper brings back is Bumblebee. Thundercrqcker has been reminding me a lot of the Deception turned autobot Drift.
I wonder if Cliffjumper will end up creating “The Last Autobot” similar to the old marvel stories, that will definitely be a huge rallying cry for the good guys
A more hopeful issue was needed I think. I don't think the autobots have ever been through the ringer so much. Can't think of a single continuity where they've been on the ropes so much. But as I said to a friend when the Superman trailer came out and he wasn't sure why it would show Superman beaten up, you don't need hope when things are going well, you need it when things are bleak.
Well said! And I agree with you, it really seems like the Autobots are struggling more than they ever have in other iterations. That's something I like about the book, though!
I feel as though with the introduction of the spark canister if they were to introduce a legacy character I feel it should be Quickswitch just due to the melding of different sparks into one but if they were to introduce an original character that would be cool as well.
Interesting idea! Quickswitch might be too much of a deep cut with the way this series has approached its characters, but it would be cool to see someone more obscure like QS added to the roster!
I am so glad that my favorite character is back in the story… at the end of last issue I was really wishing it had been Ironhide or Powerglide that had been chosen and not Trailbreaker because Ironhide has had enough screen time in the other shows and I don’t like Powerglide but I’m so excited that he’s alive and a very important character.
What a wonderful read, this issue! It delivered on so many things that were eluded to throughout the series, such as Thundercracker learning the truth behind Skywarp's death. I have to wonder though, Starscream specifically mentions how it wasnt just him who tore Skywarp apart, but Soundwave as well. That brings me to a couple questions. First, when did Soundwave tell Thundercracker about the situation? Its plausible to say that Thundercracker would have asked in between pages, but how long has Thundercracker believed that Starscream alone was responsible? Second, how could Starscream know that Thundercracker knows about him tearing Skywarp apart (thats a little poorly worded but hopefully you understand what I meant there)? Does that mean that Soundwave told Thundercracker about the death of Skywarp, IN FRONT of Starscream? I just wish we got a more conclusive answer there. Please let me know if im forgetting anything and this has already been addressed. If it has, I somehow don't remember it
I think you're right in that the conversation between Soundwave and Thundercracker didn't happen as far as we could see. I think the scene between Starscream and Thundercracker was meant to be the first time Thundercracker has heard that the Autobots are not responsible for Skywarp. I think maybe the dialogue is just a teensy bit confusing, because it does make it seem like a couple conversations were missed. Now, if there was supposed to be a moment that was cut and/or if you want to find an explanation for something that happened off-panel, I think it could have been when Onslaught was eavesdropping on Soundwave and Thundercracker. Soundwave could have blamed it all on Starscream then, and then Onslaught could have told Starscream when they joined up with him in issue 14. But this is all just fan-canon stuff if you want to go down that road. Ultimately, I think the dialogue just suggested a previous conversation, but wasn't intended to do so.
I think that's debunked but also in the energon special he reconnected it with some energy like dark energon maybe so he'll probably do it the same way
So far, I've only used tracks from UA-cam's audio library. For this one, I used: Suzuki's Theme by Endless Love Spacetime Blues by Loopop Spirit Riders by Telecasted Mist by Odonis Odonis
C’mon man-you know damn well Megatron doesn’t ask for anything 😂. Very good issue overall. I think what DWJ is doing with the Well of All Sparks is going to give people a lot of hope for supposedly dead characters- unless he rips us apart before it comes to fruition, as he is wont to do.
Trail breaker saving the kids and using his force field is such a Saturday morning cartoon moment like the Astro train choo choo. One more thing I think megatrons cruelty to laser beak is meant to be a difference between star scream and sound waves cruelty. Meg’s is cruel yes but its purpose makes sense and at least he claims is temporary. Screamer and sound wave ripped apart skyward at the first opportunity and all sound wave cares about is his cassettes. I’m hoping that this means this megs is the (relatively) compassion gladiator revolutionary he was in idw. Cruelty with purpose instead of just because.
I expected Megatron to be more like Thundercracker as far as temperament goes. Or, ironically enough, Astrotrain - more honorable, capable of mercy, but still ruthless and cruel when necessary. After issue 14, I'm not so sure...but I'm looking forward to finding out!
I love the fact that they are immediately jumping back in with Elita's story. It would've been so easy to leave her off the page for a while and let people grow even more angry with her character, and yet, DWJ has decided to show us that she too is struggling like everyone else. Elita Redemption arc in bound 🙏🏼🔥
Dinobots on Cybertron? Well I don't know...
@zoltanperei4789 he said he was going back for the girl!
@@grimlock5990 ohh I see now. But if we are going to get Dinobots I hope they won't be dumb like in the cartoon.
@zoltanperei4789 well I'm probably wrong anyway but who knows
I love the fact that Cliff isn’t worried about Prime or the war, he just wants to see Carly again. I’ve loved seeing him form the bond Bumblebee usually forms with Spike but with Carly. Great video, Moonbase!
I'm hoping Spike's bond with Beachcomber continues as well. Both Spike and Carly
deserve someone after each have lost their fathers.
@seanmccarthy8755 that’s true! I hadn’t thought about Spike and Beachcomber!
I'm really hoping Cliff will get to see Carly again...they were such a good duo, even if it didn't last long.
I also feel that Stern's colors REALLY add a new level to Corona's art work.
Agreed! Plus they've worked together on cover art for various other series, so it's cool to see that collaboration continue.
We may get an Autobot combiner or something else?
I have to say Cliffjumper is a goat for what he's about to do, using his clans Sparks to make new Autobots. This selfless act makes me think he's prime worthy, but that's just me. 😏❤ 0:41
Let's go! new skybound video from Moonbase Three!

Moonbase, great information as always. The writing on this series is a real standout. To give the Transformers souls, fantastic. I agree with you about the artwork as well. Beautiful. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Interesting theory! I hadn't thought about Sparky being a part of the Allspark...! I like it!
I read this issue in a hurry. After watching your video I need to reread it!
These issues are often so dense, they really benefit from multiple readings
I've been a transformers fan since i was but a wee lad, and a comics fan for an equally long time. 2:59 [in slow motion] Train!
8:40 Do you think Trailbreaker can be jolly enough to celebrate Christmas?
Sure, why not!
I yelled out like a kid when I saw bruticus and devastator swapping blows on that panel!
So much fun
About time you reviewed this issue of Skybound Transformers 👌
Megatron Is Alive And He Is Back
I'm thinking the well of Sparks giving birth to one bot...that combines from five others(depending upon how many spark chunks he has). Megatron entering the flay
Let the Autobots tremble in fear for the Decepticons True Leader has return
I really want to know how Megatron will get his arm back or if he is going to “control” prime to his dirty deeds 🤔 like how he does screamer.
I think that's debunked but also in the energon special he reconnected it with some energy like dark energon maybe so he'll probably do it the same way
What's the song playing in the background?

@Moonbase3 thanks 👍🏿
Cliffjumper playing the role of bumblebee?
What happened to Jetfire?
That's a great question...

Interesting idea about the well of sparks and dead characters...
You're late Sir! Was waiting for latest video 👍
Sorry to keep you waiting
I'm wondering if that shard Spark Cliff recovered might make something like the Cluster Gems from Steven Universe
Not familiar - what are those?
