Running the clear Silicone bead along the upper edge of whole panel is a question I asked on another video. Why not, If it works , why put silicone on clips? PS , we drive on Forestry roads , when I wash the van , a Ton of silt washes out from behind the panels.

Been following your videos for a bit. Love that you used an experienced glass guy for the window installs. With regards to this video though I'm curious if you used neutral cure silicone. Any acid cure silicone will eat through the paint and eventually rust. What product did you choose to go with?

Frank Croteau hey thanks for watching and commenting. This is a Permatex sealant and it does stat it is good for Metal, plastic and painted surfaces.
Did you paint the bumpers as well?
Do you know if the 2020's have the same problem?
