I’m currently doing a 6x8 album for a trip I took a couple of years ago. I’m finding it difficult as I take so many photos when travelling. By the time I put the photos on the page there’s little room for embellishments. I like your concept of a full page photo to depict a day and the opposite page to tell the story. I will try this technique. Love the tips you shared and any other tips are especially for travel albums are welcomed. TFS. Happy day
I never wanted to do an album about me, because I felt like no one would care about it. I just scrap lifted your 6x8 pieces page from the Story Kit Classroom and I loved it. This video just converted me. It's an album for me about me. I am inspired and doing it now just as you explained. I may scrap lift your pages and use your formula, but at least the stories are getting told! Thank you! Can't wait to meet you again in 2 weeks at Story Camp! :)
♥️ this so much! I have a special-needs boy with autism as well. He has a whole gamut of special-needs with ADHD and OCD and he struggles with me throwing anything away. I’ve tried to do it with him not in the house but he remembers everything he’s drawn so trying to debulk or D stash anything is a struggle. So this will be wonderful for his drawings and artwork. And telling the story of why he drew it. I don’t feel so overwhelmed about telling his story and I do really feel like celebrating his positives rather than the negative days is a must to see the light in the darkness every day. Thank you for your positive vibes. This gives me hope. He is not my only guy with special needs I have three boys that all are on the spectrum. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Love your 6x8 books I’m going to start today using Rest as I’m trying hard to do this as my MS has flared and that’s the recommended set to take when your legs decide to give up for a few days. I’m sure if I look I will have that story kit too in my large stash. Thanks for inspiration. Xx
I find that when I work in the 6x8 albums I actually complete the album. I seem more consistent with my scrapbooking/story telling in these smaller albums compared to my 12x12 project life....
I absolutely love this approach! I feel like it gives me more freedom to tell stories in a structured but unstructured way. And I love that!! Now, if only you sold white pleather 6x8 albums I'd be set for life!! xoxo
Love this idea for scrapbooking. Do you choose your photo first, decide on the size then make the page or do you get creative and build the page and then print the size that would fit?
I would say I often choose my photos first. I love to make them either full page 6x8 or the size of the page protector and then build the rest of the page on top.
I’m excited to make my first 6x8 album this year. I am currently creating a family yearbook for 2019 that’s entirely digital and then I’m going to print it in 6x8 size and slide it into page protectors. I’m excited to play with embellishments after I print the digital sheets. -Danyell

Hang in there and I hope telling the story brings you some peace.
This is a great accompaniment to this week's (Jan 2021) long video looking at albums!
I just LOVE this idea. My boys are now 15-13-12.....6x8 would be brilliant! Thank you

It's so great to give our stories a home!
This is so great! Love how you put everything together!
Excited to hear that the greige pleather album might come back!
So, that colorful polka dot transparency... Can you tell me more about that? 😍
I have fallen in love with 6x8 too and have been using a ton of the full page 6x8 page protectors - any idea when you will have more in stock?!
Let me check on that!
