Maybe use bricks to make an island in your pond to grow more food and for the ducks to explore. Maybe on posts for the fish to hide under as well?

I feel like with your skills and expertise you could probably build yourself something like a Wagon/cart to help carry stuff around, whether its for food, building materials or other stuff i feel it could be helpful, could definitely help lighten your load or cut down on the amount of trips you may need to take to get stuff
