Imagine going from plunking around on your guitar, you stumble on a fun idea, you work through it, get it structured, bring it to your band, they fill it out, and bring that fun energy to it. Y'all are just creating and having fun, not thinking much of it. Then other people hear it, and love it so much they memorize it, then pay you money to yell every word back at you. Wild
I was lucky enough to be there that day it was an incredible atmosphere. The band weren’t that big at the time and you could tell they were shocked at the size of the crowd and atmosphere.
There's nothing better than seeing talented or just good people succeed and finally being rewarded for their hard work like this. Makes you smile doesn't it.
I can’t imagine what it feels like to slave over a song, show it to your band mates and eventually play it live for 100s of people to sing it back to you Goosebumps
I was there that day and didn’t get there early enough and had to listen from outside and it was incredible to listen to especially with the crowd singing back every word.
A friend named Jennifer showed this song while doing work in Alaska. Trail work, blizzards and wildlife one of the most memorable experiences I ever had. Hope she is okay living off of ALASKA
I remember this. I was 18 years old, pint of beer in my hand at the end of the first day. Back in the days of Tumblr. Met a girl who I'd been talking to for a while. Spent 2 years with her after that. Reading festival back in the day was peace, love and rock n roll. Il never forget that weekend. Treasured memories of the brilliant days of your youth.
I dont know how long these guys have been around, but I am hooked. I love the song "Timsel". The harmony is out of this world. TALENTED, GIFTED, and BORN TO SING.......AMAZING. I have a request Kyle. If you have "Little Lion Man" I would love to see you put it up.......YOU THE MAN KYLE, THANKS AGAIN
It's empty in the valley of your heart The sun, it rises slowly as you walk Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind The harvest left no food for you to eat You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again 'Cause I have other things to fill my time You take what is yours and I'll take mine Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind So tie me to a post and block my ears I can see widows and orphans through my tears I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again So come out of your cave walking on your hands And see the world hanging upside down You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart So make your siren's call and sing all you want I will not hear what you have to say 'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how To live my life as it's meant to be And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again
A Hot Crowd and Great Performance….but why oh why didn’t the Producers of this video NOT capture the crowds eruption when Marcus does his “yes Reading” like any other city/venue?? Were they not familiar enough with the band to not know a Camera shot from behind the band or from an angle off the side of the stage was key….regardless, great version
The first minute of this video is the happiest place on UA-cam
The happiest
It really is. I come back here every now and then. It’s just so innocent and precious and speaks to who we are and what really makes us happy
2024. Still true.

@@godofwar5000for real, think that’s why so many musicians end up with drug problems because that experience must be unbelievable
0:38 Imagine the euphoria of having thousands of people sing a song you poured your heart and soul into
His little smile when everyone sings his lyrics back to him

OMG at 3:11 - 3:13, his face is SO precious.
It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind
The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat
I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
'Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind
So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears
But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart
So make your siren's call and sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say
'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be
And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
From 0:39 till 0:45 he is like: "Damn, they know the lyrics to this one"
