I love Hiccistrid because it's such a great, beautiful, real relationship that happens overtime not just all of a sudden. I saw the third movie early and the ending is perfect... just saying... I didn't cry... I did a lot!

I was surprised it happened so late in the film and that for the first 90% of the film there was a mini-plot arc about them not being ready since they've been a couple since virtually the first movie. And I was hoping they might sing the Stoick/Valka song. But yes. Astrid's hair---amazing animation. Amazing film and perfect end to a perfect franchise!

I have to confess Hiccup has been my waifu since the first movie. He’s just so cute and he cares and has a passion for dragons in the same way I do with real life animals (specifically dogs). But at the same time I cheer for those adorkable #hiccstrid moments. It just always brings a smile to my face every time they’re so cute together.

I've watched Race to the Edge 6 times now.
I wouldn't say they were ever "dating" in the conventional sense because, ya know, *Vikings*. First time I've visited your channel, and I love your enthusiasm (and, of course, share your love of all things HTTYD). If I may---the lovely, slow progression of their friendship from "(punch) That's for kidnapping me (kiss) and that's for everything else" to the wedding was so refreshing and really a better way to build a lasting relationship than conventional dating. I think this is what makes the HTTYD franchise so timeless and enduring---it's about love and loyalty in the broadest sense. (Slight spoiler for HTTYD3) And love means you do what's best for the person you love, even if that means letting that person go. (This doesn't mean I didn't go through a whole box of Kleenex during HTTYD3!)
