If you don’t like where the song is heading give it a sec because it will switch to something totally different. Highest compliment I can pay to this kind of music is if I can lift to it, if it makes me stronger. Done and done. Look forward to seeing you guys when you pass thru Sactown. Ace of Spades is a great venue, caps at 1,000. If not there Holy Diver is good & caps at 300. Both are very hardcore friendly venues. 🤘🏻

In an interview with the singer and guitarist Calvin Hansen was asked about his influences and HE replied: Q: What were some of the main musical influences for Gun? A: “I’d been listening to a lot of Powerage by AC/DC - straightforward and powerful.” I’ll point this out as I’m sure it would be lost on you, I offset his response with quotation marks which means it’s a direct quote of what HE said, not me. So yes, according to the singer and guitar player it actually IS all about AC/DC - Powerage. Which is why I said it. Bit of advice: Better to remain quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
@@skayopp8517 All good, sorry for being a dick. Inspiration is a funny thing, where it comes from and how that is channeled by the individual who hears / sees it. I don’t play an instrument so for me it’s physical: the gym trying to push weight, or a live show and the nut shrinking feeling you get the first time that night you step into the mosh. I more experience music than listen to it. A scientist would tell me I’m FOS shit but I can lift more with hardcore in my ears than without it. I’m like the “Powerage” album cover, the (right) music comes on and I am become the body electric. Same with pits, most people see a bunch of idiots pushing each other. But for me that’s the most alive I’ll feel that entire month. That’s why I LOVE Meshuggah, and to a lesser degree Tool. The sheer volume of sound coming off the stage at a live show for me is sonically overwhelming. Meshuggah especially, I spend their entire shows in the pit and when my friends talk about the show afterwards I have no idea what they’re talking about. For me their shows and the sound is something tribal, and insane. For me music isn’t passive, it’s 100% participatory. Rock til you drop 🤙🏼
This thing is so awesome. They sound just like Australia's Hardcore band Dreaded Force. All members from that group are from a different city in australia.
