    As far as I'm concerned Whipple and VMP are on an even performance rating. It's just a matter of personal taste. My Cobra came with a whipple on it so I am very pleased with the performance so I see no need to make a blower change. But even if it came to me with the VMP, I would not change that over either. The VMP, I hear, is a little more torque minded in the lower r's while the whipple picks up better in the mid to upper r range, so it all equals out in the full wot performance. Both blowers work wonders on terminators so it's a win/win either way you go. I am glad you and your beast are back Travis!

      Thanks Tom and you’re right, I don’t see the need for everyone to make a blower war out of it online. It’s just adults that did not get enough attention as children. Both are excellent choices.

      @BoostA_Car 3 місяці тому

      yeah if VMP made a larger blower it would be on par or even better than whipple cause whipple holds more heat but even then in the end both cars dont blow up and both can make over 500RWHP so fuck yeah man

  • @tomkjr1

    Engine looks fantastic Travis! I am very impressed with the numbers the VMP is putting down. It was a good idea to have it toned down a bit for consistency and safety in the tune. In your place I would be a bit frustrated about all the time sacrificed...basically your summer! But it will be worth it if you get consistent and steady performance out of the car now without any more issues. I hope the best for you brother!

      @@gregoryshelton1358 that paired with the VMP will be 👌. Highest temps I’ve seen with coolant leaving the blower is 150 and that was on a really hot day after doing a pull with a 392 challenger. I typically run about 120’s

    676 is beastly. I had a ported Eaton on
    my 03 - 500 rwhp. It was fast but it was comfortable and super fun to drive. I had Mickey Thompson ET Street’s and they hooked great with 500 hp. If I went up with power I definitely would have gone with a big brake kit as well. VMP would have been my next mod but I sold her and bought a 2012 GT 500 - bone stock. Nice upgrade but I see mods in my future!

    • @Lethal_Venom
      @Lethal_Venom  2 роки тому

      Hope you do mod it! I'll be making a little more power when it goes back to the dyno this spring when I can get it in. I'm unsure of what to do tire wise, yes it spins a lot and it would hook with a good DR but it will also start breaking parts if it hooks too well. Friend of mine snapped his half shaft with less power than I'm at now with a MT DR

    • @mikeys7536
      @mikeys7536 2 роки тому

      I thought about that too when I installed the MT’s. A good set of axels run around $1,500.00. plus installation. That’s an expensive upgrade. My thought was - if I ever snap a half shaft, then I’ll upgrade. Fortunately I never had a problem but I never took it to the track.

    • @Lethal_Venom
      @Lethal_Venom  2 роки тому

      @@mikeys7536 No plans to really track mine either. My friend that snapped his half shaft has a whipple 2.3 and around 600-650 and did a street pull and it snapped. The more I think about it the more I'm inclined to keep a tire like the R888R that I have on it now. Still provides decent traction but definitely will break loose with all the TQ I have down low and it comes on so hard.

I've since switched to a 17x7/15x10 f14 drag pack with 275/60/15 et street r on the rear no more traction issues. 2nd dead hooks I can hammer it without even warming them up on a warm day it will even hold 1st decent. You may wanna consider a et street r they are super solid tires they dead hooked my gt500 at 550 rwhp PLUS 4.10 gears in 2nd gear with no warm up. They would even hold 1st pretty decent obviously it would lose little traction in first but they are amazing. I got a 17x7/15x10 f14 drag pack on my shelby 275/60 on the rear plenty of meat to put the power down. I imagine another 200 rwhp will stress the tires alot more but I have no doubt it'll still hook 2nd well on a warm road. I run them at 30 psi also on the street they are phenomenal tires I highly recommend them. They aren't the greatest in the rain obviously but it isn't my daily and I try not to drive it in the rain anyways if I can help it if you do get caught in it you just gotta slow down and stay off the throttle. It isn't so much the wet that bothers them its when it's raining fairly hard and puddles are in the road that is when it gets dangerous you just gotta be going slow enough to where if you do have to hit a puddle you don't lose it. It's doable in a pinch but obviously no recommended.

    You have a really badass car. I love terminators and older gt500s I have an 07 I'm going with the gen3r also 676/640 is very solid numbers on a stock terminator engine on pump gas. Very solid. I wanna be over 700 on pump and 750ish on 93/boostane with the same blower full exhaust no headers jlt 123 and a big mono tbody 2.6 upper stock lower. Should be 20 psi or so I think. That is the smallest recommended pulley for a 5.4 on pump gas I'm gonna go with a boostane tune to get a little more out of it and be safer. Should be able to get close to 750 without long tubes. I'm going headers in the future and cams when I build the motor in a few years but ima run the blower on stock motor for a bit. It's nice seeing one of these on a terminator seems you don't see them on those as much for some reason idk why. The tvs blowers are wicked street blowers that can get down on the track too. They're capable of giving you all the power the stock motor is gonna want. They are a solid choice on a car that is just a basic pump gas setup street car but are plenty capable of making big power and going fast as well. I'm a big fan of the vmp stuff.

      Thanks for the sub Richard! As of now it has the banged in coolant crossover tube but that is not what is staying in long term. When it was in the shop it went through 3 MMR coolant crossover deletes, everyone of them leaked. MMR quality has taken a serious hit. So the choice to put the OEM tube back on was made just to get it done and off to the dyno. I’m going to end up getting the on3 coolant crossover delete. The whipple 2.9 Gen 5 is a great option as well

    You are one crazy terminator owner! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone put tires in there back seat like that lol. Is your interior not super mint that you don’t care?
    Yes when I first changed the spark plugs and got to experience the boost of the whipple it was so fun. It hits so fast lol But I haven’t drove a stock blower car tho 🤷🏼‍♂️

      Haha, had an old bed sheet laying across the rear seats just couldn’t see it in video. The rear seats are mint

    How much does the VMP whine vs the stock blower?

      @logut80 3 роки тому

      Nevermind lol Asked before I got to the end, gotta have the whine. Plan on doing a terminator type build in my notch but with an aluminum block

      @@logut80 Haha nice! I’m actually doing an upcoming video on the whine comparison vs my Eaton when it had the 2.76

    696rwhp and 640rwtq with a 3.3 pullied VMP blower is proof that dyno's can be easily manipulated. There is no way in hell that car actually makes that much power with the mods listed LOL

      It was 676 not 696 and if you don’t believe it don’t lol. Not like I care what you think

    And also on my opinion the stock terminator is like going to jail quick, putting a bigger blower on it just skyrockets that. I can not even fathom the power it pushes. Like I said, Im excited for 2022 and more stuff to come. 😅

      It's pretty nucking futs. It will only increase when I put a tire on it that holds the traction and the new clutch goes in with zero slip.

    I highly suggest you upgrading the tranny input shaft, that will be a huge weak point at this point since your pushing Hp and Tq. Food for thought and would hate to see a video of how your tranny grenade’d.
