How did this box stack up?
The only thing these boxes are good for is getting kids off xboxes and getting tackle boxes. Mostly that's the good thing about subscription boxes.
The downside is they all are overpriced and throw in junk( 6th Sense boxes excluded since you know the quality your getting).
Hopefully I'll see less and less of that googarbage.
You must not know how to rig an offset worm hook? The hook only gets buried in the plastic and when you set the hook it penetrates the plastic and hooks you up. Definitely weedless.
Best way to fish that googan frog is lighting it on fire 🔥
This box is not a fishing kit. No bobber or weights to go with those small hooks. Almost seems they grabbed random hooks laying around on the floor and threw them in.
I do have a monster bass subscription and mtb and sometimes with mtb it’s like they let kids just throw stuff in them. But as time goes on it seems like you start getting the puzzle pieces.
I used to have an MTB subscription but I felt like it was just a bunch of left over stuff from last season that didn't sell.
Its like a mystery bag we got from the dollar store when I was young. You know its gonna suck, but for that price you gotta take a chance.

For $20, looks like one of the better boxes you have opened. This was an attempt to say “look what great stuff you get-googan, yoto worm!”
I looked it up. Looks like Karls has 8 colors of the yoto worm, but I've only ever seen that color also.

Saw 3 at Walmart and all 3 had been broken into - only the box itself remained. Since I haven't fished in 50 years and just getting back into it, I don't know what to pick off of the shelves and enjoy the recommendations of others. Maybe in a year or two, I will totally agree with you.
I have been tearing bass up with the yoto worms but mine are dark green up top with a silver underbelly. Let it rest then twitch 2 or 3 times and usually the first or second rest I’ve got ‘em hooked

I bought one at Walmart and I felt like it was just an MTB box too. I agree, I’d rather get the one in the mail.
It's supposed to be like a regular MTB without needing a subscription. I've bought a couple every couple of months spread out. They also send out new ones every month which is why there are different numbers

Bought my first MTB from Academy wasn't a bad box considering I didn't know what I was getting. I liked it enough to get a subscription . No regrets for it. Just my humble opinion.

I have 2 colors of the yoto worm and I have fished them on a texas rig with an offset worm hook and ive had good luck with an 2/0 hook
These type of reviews are so tiring to watch...like yeah it's not the "perfect" all and one fishing kit but like common man. If it was perfect they would send a rod and reel too
That’s not the problem, the problem is that... it’s at the store... next to the stuff you want to buy. So just buy that stuff? This is not the subscription.

@@aaanglers the point of buying them is to get the stuff cheaper than you would buying it individually, in this box there is like 30 dollars of stuff and you only paid 20 if you wanted a all in one kit you should have got a starter kit from Walmart or something.

We Drop Shot that Yoda worm up here for Smallmouth with the Straight shank hooks. You just nose hook the bait.
Ran into this in a Walmart earlier this year... it's just so-so... did a video on it myself.
Its better than some of the boxes I have been subscribed to. Other than the hooks i thought it was pretty good.

Thought the box was actually pretty good. Ya they were the wrong hooks but many boxes have that issue. i the frog and have several of them. Yoto worms are good quality and many colors. Jig is stout with a good hook. Wacky rig worms seem like they would be decent. But to your point, i don't know that i would go in to buy it from the store but in a monthly box, is probably be happy
From MTB's perspective, though, look at it like this: it's a great way for someone to pick up and check out an MTB without having to subscribe. They number the series, so you can even check out a couple of/few boxes before you decide whether you want to subscribe. More boxes in hands will no doubt equal more subscribers.
Also, Christmas is right around the corner. You can buy that fisherman on your Christmas list an MTB without having to gift a subscription.
It's a no-brainer for Karl's, really.
Your point about whether it's an all in one fishing kit is completely valid, though. And yeah, if you're in the store and they have what you want, then you should probably just get what you want.
If you have been thinking about checking out a bass sub box, though, and don't want to go through the hassle of subbing, first, then it couldn't hurt to try one out.
So offer a one time purchase on the site, like most boxes do? Just saying. Happy for them to have scored a deal with retailers, but, don't call this a "kit"
They have certain kit type boxes on their website. They also have one time boxes that you can purchase off their site as well. Not sure what would be in a one time box though. Might be good might not be! Prob better than the Walmart box.
For a 20.00 box there’s some decent items in there. Pretty good gift box but can’t say I would pick one up very often.

I think those boxes are numbered. There are several variations of it . So I dont think it's a all in one kit per say . I have looked at those a ton myself and very glad I didnt buy one. Keep up the hard work love the content man.
Really, don’t use lots of subscription boxes unless I have a coupon. Rather just get the baits I have confidence in and want!
I can understand that, but I have gotten fish off new baits that I received in my subscription, and have either not taken notice to in the store, isn't offered there, or just didn't think it would work. Once I was 'forced' into it and it worked. Can't complain to much. Plus....it's tackle/lures.....thats a happy place for sure!
i bought one as well and only one also lol . garbage in the box i didnt have box 47 it was in the 10-17 range cant remember but it sucked! I actually just cancelled my mtb elite box and purchased the 6sense premium sack, i need to get more hard bodied baits and also want to support 6sense for a while they are a Tx based company which is where im from and lets be real here their tackle is legit, im going to sub to monsterbass as well for a few months as well and see if they are better than mtb
You can nose hook the tickle tail. Just like a fluke with a straight shank hook

Switched from MTB to 6thsense. Ben Milliken & Kickintheirbasstv have killer content. Just seems different here in VA. I don't think I've even caught a fish on a Jig. Lol. Of course it's tough to get out working 60 hrs driving trash truck. Then getting my sister's truck to pull my dad's boat... Haha. I'll just keep stocking up... Cool vid tho bud..

Ive bought a cpl of the mtb at dicks and ya ive had a few good things in the box but outta 4 boxes i have gotten everyone had the 10,000 fish craw in it

Not related to this box specifically... Have you done any box vs box fishing challenge? Not the whole box, but 3 or 4 from each that pair up by depth or type. Like topwater/crankbait/jig and trailer/and other (gimmick) from Monsterbass and MTB in a month. 15 minutes or whatever each in the same spot to show a truer bait v bait. Just a thought, sorry this got a bit wordy. You rock, love the videos, and just started (at the beginning) the podcast.

straight trash box. I bought the googan box from Dicks and it was actually decent. swim jig, frog, spinner bait, football jig, and a bag of plastics. You're 0-2 on boxes.

Irs always a hit or miss with mtb boxes thats why i switched to sixth sense
So not all of the boxes are the same. The outter green box has a box number on them. I've bought bout 10 of the boxes. For the most part they're completely different and like any other subscription boxes some are better than others
Pretty sure I mentioned this. Mine was 47 I think??? Problem with that is there is literally no seasonality to it and they sit on the shelf at the store... so you have NO IDEA what season you are buying

There was a guy in florisa thats sold mystery boxes like this but people were getting socks and your money disappeared. if you paid buy paypal you got your money back. this sounds like a similar deal. or screw job.. Only reason I said it there are tuber reviews that are not flattering

Why do you even both with the MTB? Most everything in any of the boxes you have an issue with. I myself like the MTB. It gives me something I don't normally buy or use. By the way I get both the MTB and the MBB. I still like MTB better than MBB. But, that's my opinion.
Why bother? Because it's still fun, I generally like 2-3 baits in the box, I like the brand and catch co and what they have done marketing wise. But mostly, because a ton of people buy the dang box and it gets the people going LOL.

@@aaanglers For a mystery box that is a $20 price, it's bad ass. I've had worse and been pleased with the amount of fish I've caught. This box looks like it has the potential to slay the big ones! The only problem I saw was the hooks and those could still be used? Great video though, always enjoy watching your content :)
Mystery tackle box is GARBAGE LOL I havent seen you happy about what you've got in this subscription in awhile. Its like they throw all the baits noone buys in their boxes. And you can kind of tell thats the case because they're sending summer baits in fall/winter. Zero thought put into these boxes and they're getting rich off junk. I've been waiting for you to get a box that makes me want to purchase this box but I ha ent seen a good one yet. Love the videos man!

Quick way to burn $20 haha
All of these subscription boxes from different brands like MTB, LTB, or MonsterBass r not worth the $$$. They send you a bunch of random lures that u mite not even use. Some of the lures they send you are gimmicks, you won't like, or will never see the light of day. Also, these subscription boxes r way too over priced. Instead of dropping $25-$40 for a box you can use that $$$ to pick and buy lures that r more affordable, u actually like, n u actually wanna use.
Have not been impressed with the mtb boxes.
