Agree fully, SG. I wish I could have caught them this last time, but they weren't anywhere near me and we couldn't swing any of the trips with our schedules. I was so sad! I'm so glad you got to see them! I'm hopeful they will have one more tour, after the latest announcement about not touring their upcoming album. I'm a bit worried now that I may never get the chance. For now, I'll hope that we all get lucky and they have one more, at least, where they come to the States, or that I can catch them in Europe some time in the future. Hope you're doing well! Blessings to you & yours from me and mine in Bama🤘🏻😊
I know y'all are getting a lot of recommendations for different bands in the comments, but I'm just going to say that I will watch every Nightwish reaction video you will post. That's all, thank you. 😎
Floor is about 2 years younger than me - she is 42, and she is now pregnant with her & her husband's (Hannes Van Dahl - the drummer of Sabaton is her hubby) second child! Her windmills - she worked with a Dr, a chiropractor type, that showed her how to support her hips and spine in a way that would not injure her neck, voice, and back while headbanging and windmilling. That's why she always has her hands on her hips. She spoke about it on a video. Also, it's not BDSM lol! It's just a shirt that's called a bustier (boost - ee - yay) I have 3 of them and they look really great on! They are comfy and restrict movement very little and its not something, when they fit someone properly, that you are constantly tugging at or having to adjust, so its really wise choice for a stage outfit - especially in the heat. Plus, leather holds up nicely to plenty of shows and it's also more "metal" than a cotton type blend haha! Mine are cotton blends, not leather - no need for leather. And the boots...that's just a lady thing. She is not at all the type that's into BDSM haha! She lives with her hubby and child on a homestead/small farm in Sweden. She takes care of several horses and other animals and they grow a lot of their own food and they work on their "farm". Floor is a down to earth, normal person. From what I can tell she's kind, humble, and very laid back. I know what you're saying, but its not at all that - just outfits made for her for the shows and she has them made in ways that give her very little issues during shows and costume changes (if she has one during a show). Hope this helps! Great reaction, as usual! Catch you on the next! Blessings to you both & your families from Alabama!
Floor has a custom tailor who makes her corsets, and she uses pro-strength "boob tape" (like super adhesive double-sided tape ladies use to secure a plunging neckline to their bodies) as back-up security for her Endless Forms Most Beautiful! (That's a Nightwish song, btw)

Floor Jansen is a Dutch singer and songwriter and has been the lead vocalist of Nightwish since 2012.

But she was so much greater singing with Marko. I saw the real thing at the Aragon. I can’t settle for less.
@@ronaldwilson9525 Glad you got to see them with Marko and yes, I was extremely disappointed when he left. Human II Nature is not my favorite either, but am anxiously waiting for the new album, however I had never seen them in person and wasn't going to miss this opportunity. I'm glad I went cause it was an awesome show, Floor was as usual fantastic! The rest of the band, well they are Nightwish and sounded like Nightwish - Awesome! Jukka is an amazing bass player, so only thing missing was Mako's vocals, which is something none of us can change, and after the first song started it wasn't what I was thinking about, just enjoyed the show!
🇫🇮❤Totally worth the wait. This song appears to be all about waking up to the moment and living your life to the fullest, being positive rather than negative (Like the lyrics say: "It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.") right up until the last ride of your life. However, the bad news are that Nightwish will be on touring hiatus for an unspecified length of time. It most likely relates to Floor being pregnant for her 2nd child.
I am even quite sure it has nothing to do with Floor's pregnancy at all. If there's one thing Floor isn't good at, it is sitting still and doing nothing. She loves to perform on stage, that's what really keeps her motor running. Even more so, after the covid-19 pandemic with a prolonged period of no live shows at all.
You missed them they were in the U.S. this time last year. I was fortunate to get to photograph the concert on May 10th at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. Sadly they just announced they will work on the next album but will not be doing live shows for an indeterminant time - some are concerned they may not tour again. At this point we support them and whatever they decide to do. I am enjoying your reactions and how genuine your awe is.
My wife, Carol, and I travelled from Phoenix to see them live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on May 18th, 2022. The show was fantastic from start to finish. I'm loving both of your reactions to this amazing band with Floor on lead vocals. Keep them coming.
Also - the lyrics yall were discussing - "Wake up, dead boy, enter adventure land" It's basically meaning live your life - experience things! Then the chorus is "Once upon a night we'll wake to the carnival of life. The beauty of this ride ahead, such an incredible high. It is hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead. This moment the dawn of humanity, the last ride of the day" Also, one of my favorite lines of this song is - "What's God, if not the spark that started life" Definitely look at the lyrics of their songs, as it will give you more of an understanding and many that really make you think about certain things. Their lyrics are positive, and often referencing living life & seizing the day, they write about literary topics, science, the lost childhood innocence is a topic they often have as well, and yes, some fantasy (more prevalent in their work with their original singer Tarja Turunen). All just amazing, in my humble opinion. Catch you guys next time!
Guys, I'm from the Czech Republic. Masters of rock is one of the biggest metal fests in Europe. Vizovice is a small village where once a year there is an absolute explosion of music, super atmosphere
Seen Nightwish in the states three times, in 2012 (San Diego), 2015 (Las Vegas), and 2022 (LA)! AMAZING shows!!!! Awesome band!!! Keep on going with the rabbit hole! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!
Greetings from Utah! 🤘 They do come to the US, though the venues they play are much smaller. I saw them in Denver last May. The stage show was nowhere near what they are able to do at the festivals in Europe. But it didn't matter. The band WAS the show. And they did not disappoint. With just some smoke machines and lights, they put on an amazing show. I had to drive 7 hours one way and get a hotel room after the show so I could see them. All worth it, and then some. I will go see them again at my earliest opportunity. Unfortunately they will be taking a break from touring for a while. Floor is expecting her second child around the end of the year, so that is probably a contributing factor. So, I'm not sure when we will get to see them live here in the US again.☹ But I am really happy that the band is getting some down time. They have been touring for over a year. We don't want them to get burned out.
Wecome back boyz. GA 3rd division back for more. This is about capturing the thrill of the last ride of the day at a carnival or amusement park. Dead boy is a referense to the child lost inside us all. Dead or surpressed but wishing to be freed again. That theme shows up in a lot of their songs.
If you want to see more ”riding into battle against the orcs” kind of epic metal, listen to Wintersun’s Sons of winter and stars. Their drummer is also the drummer of Nightwish.
Literally flew out to France to see these guys play a few years back and it was worth every penny spent. Literally out of the hundreds of shows I have been to in my life, theirs was easily the top 3 experiences.
Hi guys, greetings from UK Another great reaction, thank you 😊 Storytime from Wacken 2013 concert will make your jaws drop when you hear Floor sing high harmony
It’s quite a rabbit hole. 3 different singers, three different eras. Been together over 25 years. Good luck! Seriously, you can’t go wrong with Nightwish. I appreciate genuine reactors.
Im 64 years old and have been blessed enough to see them live twice. The last time it was a very intimate (about 2000) venue. Check out some Within Temptation. Youll be happy .
Dead Boy refers to Tuomas' (keyboard/songwriter) childhood innocence. As he became an adult and his band exploded in popularity, he concluded his childhood was over, the boy Tuomas was gone and his childhood innocence lost forever. It is a recurring theme in his songs to long for the innocence/care-free-ness/wonder of the Dead Boy.
"Wake up, Dead Boy!!" One of the coolest thing about Nightwish reactions has always been to me the fact that music fans from all the genres can love this band. It has said many times before that they're kinda genre of their own. Great reaction again and hope you guys continue Nightwish rabbit hole, there are a lot of surprises waiting...
Nightwish does tour the US, and they speak English. I took my niece to a show a few years back, and we did the backstage meet and greet. They were great. The show was in Houston, Texas. But on the Nightwish thing, check out their version of Phantom of the Opera with the original singer Tajia. She will blow your mind. She is as good as Floor.
Yes, Nightwish is the drill that will pierce through your soul. Universal language spoken under the cover ("Cover Me With You") of metal and excellent musicianship. Keep looking for that special "thing" that Nightwish has. That kind of magic that is understood yearned for around the world, that will make us stop in our tracks to listen. Really, listen. It's not just Floor's singing, although she is a gift from gods . It's Tuomas's soul and brilliance at the foundation of it all, the very life of Nightwish put in the mix with the band and the crew and the Lead Singer. Marko left the band January 2021 and he is sorely missed. One of his songs (Marko's "Kiss while your lips are red"), used in a Finnish movie soundtrack, so beautiful and popular, is it sung by a choir in a church. Their music during the Tarja era inspired a generation, and defined the genre. A series of very successful bands sprung from the evergreen essence of Nightwish. EPICA, WITHIN TEMPTATION, DELAIN, others, and see new and up & coming SCARDUST (Israel) are paying tribute to Nightwish and cresting their own prog symph metal. Next for you? You might like to check out the undying Everdream from the same Wacken 2013, pure metal magic personified by Floor Jansen. You need your seat belt for this one! ❤🤟
This song has one of my favourite lines of all time: “it’s harder to light a candle easier to curse the dark instead”. My mantra for life. If life throws you shit you can sit there and grumble about it or you can try to find a solution/make the best of it. Keep them coming !!!! New subscriber here for this !!!!! Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia 🤘😎🤘.
first heard them in 2018 and tried to see them in Europe before Covid and finally got to see them 3 times throughout Europe this past winter. All three concert we attended where beyond great. Especially the Amsterdam concert in the Ziggo Dome. Keep up learning about other types of music as I have been doing.
My first experience with Nightwish came from watching the movie "Alone in the Dark" I didn't stop it as the credits rolled, because I went to the fridge for a drink, and Nightwish - Wish I Had an Angel played on the credits, and I have been hooked since. My wife and I saw them live here in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2018
I’ve seen them twice. Mexico City in 2015 and Phoenix 2018. They do tour the states but usually only a few shows. If you get a chance go! It will ruin you for anything else.
Nightwish army, north texas. Can confirm, I'm a D&D player and reader of JRR Tolkien. Tolkien's influence on rock and metal lyrics is a deep dive on its own.
Hey guys Nightwish fan from the Netherlands here! Great to see you openminded to new music. Liked your reaction. Indeed giving the lyrics a read will enhance the experience. Recommended is the song Schoemaker. About Eugene Shoemaker. It shows what Floor is capable of... Live at Hellfest 2022. Btw Floor did a cover of Shallow at s Dutch tv show called Beste Zangers. ( Best singers). Probably will blow your socks off. Anyway peace and greetings from this Dutchie.
Night wish,, The Phantom Of The Opera ( ft. Henk Poort ) ( Live ) is a must...Henk sings a few songs with Floor time to time. He is an opera singer too like Floor and sings on a lot of stage play shows. You will love it. Also Floor is in her mid 40s and is expecting her 2nd child. NightWish has started their tour for 2023 first tour sense COVID. Yes they do come to USA. Sold out shows.
You guys just scratched the surface here. But that said it is a great surface to scratch. After scratching there's digging into all kind of rabbit holes in this genre that will surprise you. Rock on from the Netherlands.
I have seen this reaction a dozen times, one of the funniest reactions ever 🤠 But there hasn't been any Nightwish on your channel for a long time😞, so please give us some more fireworks, e.g. with "Devil and the deep dark ocean" from Buenos Aires 2018 live show (amazing outfit Floor) or "Slaying the dreamer" from the same venue.
Floor was born on February 21th in 1981. "It 's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead"i s my favorite line of this song. A short sentence that explains so much. You should watch Nightwish at Wacken 2018. Especially around the 13 and 14 minutes timestamp.
I've just saw them at at concert a few months ago in Berlin. This was the greatest show I've ever seen and heared. I was mesmerized. Stunned. Needed almost 24 hours to process this. Please react to "poet and the pendulum" and "The Greatest Show On Earth" but make sure to put the subtitles on the screen.
Yes there's so much to check out with Nightwish. And many paths in this rabbit hole. She just released a solo album. It's already at number 6 on the Finnish charts... Floor is Dutch. She's married to the Drummer of Sabaton they're living in Sweden and expecting the there second child. Yes she's very pregnant now. If you like? another great song to check out from Nightwish is a Pink Floyd Tribute. High hopes. This version is very respected and recommended listening. I saw them last year in Silver springs Md.
They do come to America, thankfully. I saw them last May in NYC. An amazing show that you need to experience. It's funny that you mentioned D&D and Magic the Gathering. I, in fact, played both in my teen years.
In 2022 they came to America and did a tour but I’m guessing they weren’t big venues. I’m pissed I missed it because it was probably one of my favorite smaller spots the Fillmore Silver Spring in Maryland. That’s where a lot of these bands I’ve seen on here have played, so I’m guessing they were probably there as well but an intimate venue would be awesome to see you tonight, but I would want to see him in a stadium with all their light show. That’s what’s incredible as well.
And don't worry about the language barrier. Most European countries have English in school as secondary language and especially at a metal festival you will always find someone willing to help/translate.
Gentlemen, thank you for your reaction. Tuomas Holopainen refers quite often him self as 'dead boy'. Welcome to Europe or even all the way to Finland - forget the language barrier, most people here speak english and the rest understands it. Next time you see Nightwish clip (especially from Europe) notice the age and gender of first row headbangers. Not the regular rock audience.
Love it guys. Next 'Storytime' or 'Song of Myself', both from Wacken 13'. Also "dead boy" is a recurring thing. But that's for you to figure out in the rabbit hole. Aaaactually 'Song of Myself' has it too. Origin is the song 'Dead Boy's Poem'. Buenos Aires live for that one.
To think this band has been going for 25 years. 3 lead singer changes. 2 drummers. 3 bassists. Adding a 6th member. When most bands can't keep it together with one line up change. Nightwish just keeps getting better and better. Central Florida Brigade of the Nightwish Army since 05'.
When talking about bands: Rush/ Tom Sawyer, Yes/ Round About, Triumph/ Spellbound, Brian Adams/ Cuts like a Knife, Foreigner/ Dirty White Boy. Keep on Rocking 🖖

This moment the dawn of humanity, the last ride of the day"
Also, one of my favorite lines of this song is -
"What's God, if not the spark that started life"
Definitely look at the lyrics of their songs, as it will give you more of an understanding and many that really make you think about certain things.
Well, she's a valkirie, waking up dead people and bringing them to another land is in the job description.
Guys, I'm from the Czech Republic. Masters of rock is one of the biggest metal fests in Europe. Vizovice is a small village where once a year there is an absolute explosion of music, super atmosphere
Queen FLOOR 💥😍💯
Seen Nightwish in the states three times, in 2012 (San Diego), 2015 (Las Vegas), and 2022 (LA)! AMAZING shows!!!! Awesome band!!! Keep on going with the rabbit hole! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!
Floor's VOICE and Stage Presence are Glorious. She's..The Goddess.💫🔥💥😍💯
Greetings from Utah! 🤘
They do come to the US, though the venues they play are much smaller.
Nightwish a finish band with a Dutch female vocalist that live in Sweden with her family.
They have found a way to end the show with a celebration and a positive message to the audience, Tuomas is a music genius.
Good one. The whipping is her hair doing the windmill.
So you guys went straight to the last song from this famous concert ! Strange choice, but you will love it ! The whole concert is great ,!
I'm glad you liked night wish. Very epic band.
Floor is 42 years old and currently pregnant with her 2nd child . her husband is Hannes Van Dahl the drummer for the band Sabaton
This Song is like a moving Circus. Tricksters. Magicians. Snake charmers.
"Once upon a time we wake for the carnival of lifes." ❤
ALRIGHTY....THENNNNN! LOL! Blessings guys!
If you want to see more ”riding into battle against the orcs” kind of epic metal, listen to Wintersun’s Sons of winter and stars. Their drummer is also the drummer of Nightwish.
Nightwish has since snagged Wintersun's bassist too.
they always tour America!!! Just find their tour schedule !!! Floors story of joining the groups is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!
Greetings from a brasilian in Colombia! Nightwish rocks!!!!
Nightwish....THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH
Welcome Nightwish wold…
Literally flew out to France to see these guys play a few years back and it was worth every penny spent. Literally out of the hundreds of shows I have been to in my life, theirs was easily the top 3 experiences.
Hi guys, greetings from UK
Another great reaction, thank you 😊
Storytime from Wacken 2013 concert will make your jaws drop when you hear Floor sing high harmony
Youll be happy
.
Lol! you are right, Floor is 42 years old 😎
Yes, indeed, we nerds love it.
Guys, you need to react to 7 Days to the Wolves. It will blow your minds
Your daugter is rock. 😊
"Wake up, Dead Boy!!"
One of the coolest thing about Nightwish reactions has always been to me the fact that music fans from all the genres can love this band.
I've seen them twice here in the US: Once in Silver Spring and once in Baltimore, MD. Both of them were amazing shows!
Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia 🤘😎🤘.
my favorite lines are Happy hunting you double faced carnivore from Romanticide, or we were here from greatest show
You looked so happy during the second half. Crazy to see that.
Love y guys❤
Epicness right there on that stage. Phenomenal band with all members masters of their craft. Thank you for a great reaction gents. Paul 🙏👍😊❤️
Omg...your chant about staying pure of thought 😂😂😂
When you hear the beat drop and all you can do is curl your lip and head-bang, you know it is *sick*
Will always love this band.
God bless Floor Jansen and her children n her family.... god bless her. She is a gift to this earth.
Our queen
first heard them in 2018 and tried to see them in Europe before Covid and finally got to see them 3 times throughout Europe this past winter. All three concert we attended where beyond great. Especially the Amsterdam concert in the Ziggo Dome. Keep up learning about other types of music as I have been doing.
Every nightwish song, 100 percent will not disappoint you
Finland band and Dutch singer Yeah!❤
It´s time to discover Epica :)
My first experience with Nightwish came from watching the movie "Alone in the Dark" I didn't stop it as the credits rolled, because I went to the fridge for a drink, and Nightwish - Wish I Had an Angel played on the credits, and I have been hooked since. My wife and I saw them live here in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2018
Anyone noticed how many Ladies on their shows omg 🤩
I’ve seen them twice. Mexico City in 2015 and Phoenix 2018. They do tour the states but usually only a few shows. If you get a chance go! It will ruin you for anything else.
Nightwish army, north texas. Can confirm, I'm a D&D player and reader of JRR Tolkien. Tolkien's influence on rock and metal lyrics is a deep dive on its own.
dudes im rockin with the vibe. i love the boyz. omg malt for my ears lol
Mississippi girl here...love nightwish
I love how giddy the keyboardist gets to see the crowd sing along. He writes these.
Dude - Greatest Show on Earth. That is all.
That feeling you have while listening this kind of music is called "epickness".
Nice reaction. Greetings from Mexico City 🇲🇽
Awesome isn’t it!
Super catchy song you’ll be singing all day!
You were both entranced
You guys just scratched the surface here. But that said it is a great surface to scratch. After scratching there's digging into all kind of rabbit holes in this genre that will surprise you. Rock on from the Netherlands.
Epica time :) Consign to Oblivion live at Zenith
'The Greatest Show on Earth' live at Tampere. Incredibly epic....and over 20 mins long! ❤
Great reaction guys thank you 😃👏🏻
Nightwish is a hell of a ride, pop in and see they once in a while you won’t regret it.🤘🏻
Shes born 1981 and are still doing windmilling.😋😎😈🇧🇻
I have seen this reaction a dozen times, one of the funniest reactions ever 🤠
But there hasn't been any Nightwish on your channel for a long time😞, so please give us some more fireworks, e.g. with "Devil and the deep dark ocean" from Buenos Aires 2018 live show (amazing outfit Floor) or "Slaying the dreamer" from the same venue.
You guys definitely need to experience "the greatest show on Earth" live from Wembley
A masterpiece, a journey!
Just as a Dutch guy, proud how Floor rocks the stage and the vocals. Looking like a beautiful warrior princess, who seems able to take you out.
Loved your reaction :)
No rabbit hole...an effin cliff! Enjoy the journey!
Can't wait to watch you react to the Poet and the Pendulum. You're not ready.
I concur! 😊
Totally concur!!!!!
They do come to America, thankfully. I saw them last May in NYC. An amazing show that you need to experience.
It's funny that you mentioned D&D and Magic the Gathering. I, in fact, played both in my teen years.
Off the cuff suggestion...watch all of the Floor performances from the show "beste zangers " every single one fckn amazing
Greetings from Finland. I have been NW fan since 1998
In 2022 they came to America and did a tour but I’m guessing they weren’t big venues.
Gotta se something from wembley she looks unbelievable
Im from Czech republic u have to come to best gigs here only in Europe
And than…at the end….of this song….there was….silence! 😂😂😂
Floor was born in 1981
When talking about bands: Rush/ Tom Sawyer, Yes/ Round About, Triumph/ Spellbound, Brian Adams/ Cuts like a Knife, Foreigner/ Dirty White Boy.
Keep on Rocking 🖖
