I was neither smart or quick lol
The more difficult it is for intrusion the better.. The chances of getting compromised is very low and almost impossible if you have used a passphrase for your seedphrase. You have to be online whichever way you attack this to complete the importing process however Tangem has stated they are working on an update that will allow you to import a seed phrase offline. I am not recommending anything just giving information on how I would do it, to someone that left a comment on my video. I have used this method however my seed is encrypted with a passphrase.@@a1isrising

Yeah it went fast, I am going to do more of these types of videos I like the idea of "Hunt for that Bitcoin" so I will make some more challenging concepts, I will try to do 1 per week. I am glad my info has helped you that is my number 1 goal is to educate and try to encourage security.
can i now import my seedphrase in tangem fully offline?
If burner phone has custom ROM flashed - even factory reset won't help. It will only reset the user data but not the OS data. Custom ROM itself can have spyware.
Hence why you should always use a child key :)

@@BetterHumanz Well i read someone’s comment here and they said they were able to get hold of this $100 account but couldn’t unleash the funds as it was ‘passphrase protected’. That made me very curious to learn about it but no one could explain this better than you 😁. So a video on adding passphrase to a seedphrase is what I meant.
@@nakuldixit4987 While the Tangem wallet supports a lot of different crypto assets, it doesn't support many other basic features such as passphrases, air gapped support, signing via USB, multisig or even displaying information on its own secure screen. Passpharse is another layer of secure the private key but it seems tangem is not supporting passphrase of own. Hope Tangem upgrade firmware or next version(3?) suppor this passphrase. I plan to ask Tangem company to add this feature. let's claim this together. The more speak up, the better chacne to adapt.
I received my tangem today, I'll probably create a new seed phrase and send it from my ledger, the reason for acquiring a tangem is because I don't trust the ledger anymore, so it's better not to have the seed phrase created in the ledger anymore, does anyone think this is a good decision? or there is no need
Create your own 24-word seed phrase, use that in Tangem however create a passphrase for that seed phrase and use those derived addresses for your portfolio. That way you never have your main portfolio exposed anywhere.

Tangem with seed phrase and no seed phrase wich one better ?
If your new to crypto and dont have any experience then use the default method to setup Tangem and just have the cards as your keys. If you are experienced in crypto and know how to safley back up your seed phrase then use your own seed phrase.

I use pass phrase on my ledger. But tangem has no pass phrase setting. What will happen my coins saved on pass phrase?
Are you referring to your current Tangem wallet? the first version?
@@BetterHumanz tangem v2 has no pass phrase setting. If you import seed and no pass phrase setting to hide your coins on the seed to avoid hacking, once the seed is exposed.. the hacker will see your coins one quick time but if you have pass phrase setting and hide the coins, even if the seed is exposed... your coins are safe! Tangem should add pass phrase setting
Hey, can you please share solution ? Imported ledger seed to in new Tangem wallet but can’t see tokens.
Did you use a passphrase on your ledger? if so that wont display in Tangem because Tangem doesn't support passphrases.
Can the tangem except importing ledgers 24 word plus its 25th word passphrase . If it can't then be better to leave assets in a passphrase protected wallet.
It is possible they will add that feature from what I was just told after asking a team member now :). Personally, I don't have my passphrase account accessible on any wallet but that's just the way I do it, many wallets offer that functionality for convenient security.

The great thing about the Tangem team is they are open to suggestions and quite often they will implement them, I have suggested a few things that have been now implemented so this could be one of them :).. thanks for the compliments I appreciate it.@@stevolanddownunder3549
Thankt you for the video. I want to switch from ledger to tangem but I have to eth addresses on my ledger how does that work if I move to tangem? Will I see only one eth address?
If you import your seed phrase to Tangem it will display the first address that was created for your seed phrase, it won't show the second. I do know Tangem plans on implementing the ability to add another account for that seed phrase, so like how in Metamask you can add another account. When this function is available then it will display your second address, unless your second address was created behind a passphrase?
@@BetterHumanz I also read this in their blog. Do you maybe know when they plan to release this feature? I ordered my cards and would be happy if this feature planned for the near feature. On the other hand as I plan to use tangem with my own generated seed phrases I don’t really need to backup a wallet to multiple cards right? So I can just use each card as new wallet with different seed phrase? What do you think?
No you cant use each card as a seprate wallet, because when you activate the first card it needs a backup card activate for it. So the set of 3 cards are designed to be back ups of eachother. If you wanted a different wallet and wernt worried about backing it up then you could get the cheaper 2 card edition.@@josefziron

so if ledger was a bad company, they may have all the seeds that people have on their devices already..
I would get a fresh seed on a new. hardware wallet that is secure.
Personally I always make my own I dont use ledger or any hardware device except for Tangem and that isnt for my main portfolio.

Everything is dangerous. Having your seed phrase on a piece of paper stored in a safe is dangerous if an intruder puts a gun to your head and tells you to open the safe. I am not saying using any type of connection is good I am simply offering information on the best practises if one was to do it so they mitigate the risks as much as possible. No method of anything is completly safe it is just impossible, but as long as we take the highest precautions with everything we do we make it very difficult for our seed phrase to be compromised, and remember the seed phrase is hidden behind a passphrase so even if the seed phrase was compromised you would have time to move your funds to a new seed phrase.

You can't import offline yet into Tangem, they are wiorking on that option.
