Tina, my son who is an occupational therapist was watching the video with us. He treats rotator cuff injuries. He said do not swing the logs like that especially that high and strong above your shoulder height. You will get an injury.
Tina, I had a situation similar to your little birdie. He had hit the glass door and knocked himself out, and looked dead, but I picked him up and put him inside a blanket, in a box, in my gazebo, put him some seed and water, and hoped he made it through the night. Next morning I looked at him and he was in the same spot, and I reached down and picked him up, went to the door, and he flew off. I felt so good, being able to help one of God’s creatures. Love my Watson family on UA-cam.
It's plain to see how much joy your whole crew, furry and not, bring each other. The animals on your homestead are so hilarious!!! To see those sheep bounce around like little dogs, haha! You can just feel the love and laughter your family shares. It's no wonder your little ones are growing into such wonderful young people with so much fun and caring surrounding them.
It is absolutely wonderful to see how the boys do and help with the animals and work around the home... What they are learning is something that can never be taught in school and that is hard work pays off and makes for a healthy life.... I grew up doing same things and it teaches us to value what we have... Amazing job mom and dad keep up the great work!!!!!
I love watching your videos, i live in Michigan and we still don’t have any snow. So seeing all the beautiful snow in your neck of the woods makes me jealous. God bless!!
I spent 5 weeks from November to Dec 20 in Michigan (I live in Alaska on the K-Pen) I brought my boots and snow pants thinking I’d need them but it was unseasonably warm :(
God bless you and family Abundantly and enourmsly forever in Jesus name Amen, God bless State of Alaska, God bless United States of America 🇺🇸 ❤, Greetings with love and respect from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
Hi Tina and Joe. That breakfast sandwich looked good, you have some good ideas Tina. My goodness I thought that sheep was going to jump over the fence. Still no snow here yet, I am surprised. Your meals and what you make Tina always looks so good. I can’t believe the amount of snow you have but it makes it look fresh and clean. The boys are always having a blast do nice to see. Take care, see you next video. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Well got my Watson fix for the week. ☺ At least I'm new to the channel and I can watch a new video when I want. I don't know what I'm going to do when I watch them all. Lexxy here I come, lol. I'm 62 and have been homesteading for many years; growing my own veggies, herbs & animals for meat, etc. But let me tell you sweet Watson family; I learn something new regularly. What a wealth of information. You have all the ingredients and just seem to add in the correct amounts to your family. From God and His teachings, to family, love discipline, work, play, learning from mistakes and then you sprinkle it all with the reality of life. It's the perfect show and best show on tv; oh wait I don't watch tv. It's the perfect show. I feel like I'm part of the family. I love you all, God bless you, I will keep you in my prayers and I promise not to write a book every time 😁🤭 Until next time....
Love your books Tanya!!😘 So glad you’ve joined our channel & I’m so happy you enjoy our videos. That makes me so happy as I put so much into each one…so it makes my heart happy to hear that! Thank you for your wonderful comment, your words are so kind & uplifting!🤍🤍
My favorite picture of all times is Parker throwing the snow in the air with the sun in background. He threw im an arc. It was THE BEST AND BEAUTIFUL, MAGICAL and so cool. Needs to be a front cover. Love ya Carlene
We both laughed out loud at this comment!🤣🤣 The visions that popped into my head are completely inappropriate. I had visions of chainsaws & snowmachines!👏🏻👏🏻
Wow, look at the boys go... I'm so excited that they are loving their boards. Great Job !! 😊 I can't wait to get a calendar...You do take some beautiful pictures. Great video as always, Thank you for sharing.
Tell Kellen he needs to enjoy the snow in Alaska because here in Virginia we haven’t saw a bit of snow. I love watching the boys just enjoy all the activities in the snow. My granddaughter which is Parker’s age isn’t going to ever enjoy the snow like I did in the 70’s and 80’s like I did when I was young because of all the global warming crap. Sending happiness to you guys in the New Year’s.❤
Family time in the snow :) I love my wood stove & going out for wood, It's always a good day just being out in the bush for some fresh air :) Bringing a load of wood home is just a bonus, At this point in the winter I am hauling firewood for this time next year, Beautiful little homestead you have started, Just enjoy what mother nature has provided for us :)
9 minutes in and I'm comment #4 - Really looking forward to seeing this! Rough week. Had to fly home to dad because he's fallen and I'm helping him recover. So your video is a much needed respite and positive self care for me. ❤
Just drove my folks down to Gulf Shores for the winter to escape Michigan's winter wrath. They are in their late 80's. Good to be back home in Michigan though and watching what ya'll are up to!
That is a great idea for next year's calendar. Photos of the animals & pets would be awesome. The bird was so ready to fly away the next morning. He said: "Thank you for the overnight care and the spacious condo, but I am out of here. I am good to go. God bless."
Look at all that beautiful wool! Loved the calendar, Joe is so very protective of the boys. The wall upstairs look so good, love the natural wood look. Great video!
I can't tell you how much I love your videos! They so make my day and YES to the calendars I already bought mine for 2024 but will definitley get yours for 2025 I just love your photos!!! And can I say the bloopers are just the best!
My heart melts every time I see Joe take time with the boys , teaching them New Things ( Snowboarding 🏂) this time. and the boys are SO cute! #sodarncute! And learning fast! I don’t know Cullens story, ( hope I spelled his name right ) but he seems so happy living in Alaska with these two wonderful people, Tina and Joe. Y’all stay safe cutting those trees. 🥰
My husband and I just watched your cool video this morning and my husband wanted to share a tip with Joe about his chainsaw that we just learned from Brooke Whipple on Girl in the Woods. She used her chainsaw tool to punch a hole in the foil on the oil can and it pours slower and cleaner than if you just remove the foil. Joe Might already know this but we just wanted to share this handy trick from Brooke. We learn so much from UA-cam. Stay warm you guys!!!❤
I just came across this channel about 6 days ago and am loving it! I've watched a good 20+ videos since 😊 What a sweet family. You and your husband are making a beautiful life. You both work so hard and have done so much in the time there. Love seeing how much fun the boys are having. I've also subbed to your daughters channel and she is a mini you Tina! Every time she says the phrase "that bad boy" it is you made over 😄 Love watching you guys ..... 😊
Wow the pictures of your place and house they look like picture frames or painting. It's soo beautiful 😍 Those are sure lucky kids who have their parents spent time and play with them.
After a long and challenging day, your video came at just the perfect time for me! Watching your video tonight was so good that the day's struggles just slipped away! Thank you for sharing your life on the homestead! And...I will be ordering one of your beautiful calendars very soon! Happy New Year!
Hey yall. We'll never get snow here.....Southern South Carolina...on the coast...I have to live vicariously through you Alaskan people. Thank you for making it look so fun!!! So love yall!!
Subscriber, long time viewer and previous commentator here, but I have to say, this one has the best out takes yet!!! C'mon Tina, Please Stand Up, Please Stand Up....lmao. Ooh, on a side note, I was watching a biscuit specialty place on the Food Network last week and learned something myself. Once you've got the dough kneaded and laid out, when cutting it out, DON'T twist the cutter...just down and back up. They said it leaves the sides more open & porous and therefore, fluffier. Haven't tried it yet, but maybe next time you make a batch, half that way and half twisting the cutter and see if there's a difference. Beautiful scenery and editing as usual, Tina. Happy New Year to y'all and God Bless!
I am so happy I stumbled across your channel today! You, Tina, are a HOOT! So funny, great Mom, super Wife, and just excellent! You are the glue that holds your wonderful family together. I liked seeing Joe smile and laugh at the end. I loved your rap. I loved how you describe yourself as the Female M & M. And of course, that beautiful cabin of yours is amazing as is the landscape and scenery. Fantastic video and I am looking forward to seeing more! Happy New Year! I am now Team Home Free Alaska!
Love you, Tina, and all you and your family stand for, Love of Country, an uncorrupted education for your children, nurturing and love of animals and nature, a hot home cooked meal with your family, at the table and a love of God, to name a few. Your family is very lucky to have you. Plus, you make some awesome biscuits. They looked so good. As for Joe not talking much, I am not a big talker, but my husband is , just the opposite. We just celebrated our 50th Anniversary, yesterday. I googled 50th Anniversaries and found out that only 6% of couples reach 50 years of marriage. Was shocked.😮
My husband and I will celebrate 52 years together on Feb.19⭐✨🌟💙 The time has flown by!!! We've had our share of hard times but we stuck together through it all. Many today don't want to put in the work it takes to stay together. Very sad. Happy anniversary Julie & Hubby!!!! And I agree that the Watson family is special🥰 Take care🤪🤪😊😊😊
Wow Julia, 50 years?! So inspiring! That’s awesome.👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you so much for your kind words, so encouraging & uplifting. We really appreciate that so much!🤍🤍
I love this Judy!!! Rolling with the 50+ crew! They always say if you want a successful marriage, surround yourself by those that have one! Looks like we’re in the right place!😘
I had been wanting to send the boys some empty spray bottles and food coloring to play on the snow with. But of course I never got around to it. Just wanted to give you the idea in case you wanted to do it, before/if Kellen leaves. I did this with my son and he loved it. (Add water, and food coloring to bottles, make pictures, your names, etc, in the snow.) It's a cheap and fun way to have some fun in the snow. Hope you continue to stay blessed!!
This recipe looks and sounds like it could become a favorite! I’m really enjoying Canuary 2024. So far, I’ve kept up with all of the videos and met some new channels. Thank you, Leisa!
What a beautiful video how you capture nature in the winter. I love the bird scenery. Thank you for saving that birds life. I love your videos and I am interested in one of your calendars. 🤗💖🎄❄️
We started watching your UA-cam channel years ago. You have made so much progress in your videography and format of the show. We live in suburban Florida and love watching your family's Alaska experience. Also, glad your standing strong in your faith.
Wow, thank you for being with us for so long! And thank you for that compliment. I’ve learned a lot & am still learning with every video. I agree tho…I watch some of my first videos & Im like 🙈 LOL! But everyone has to start somewhere right!☺️
Once again, you've done a great job on the videos. Wood cutting can get old. Did it a lot in the late 70's in Michigan to earn extra money. That was when everyone started to put woodstoves in their homes. Love the sound of crunchy snow. Talk soon. Keep up the great work.
Well hello there greetings. I love your video and likes to see the boys and the skate in the ice. It looks like a lot of fun. God bless you. Good luck.👏🏻❤
Joe, the man of few words OR not 😂😂😂 You watch Tina, here before long, Joe will have his own channel of all about his carpentry work. Never know, do we Joe 🤔 I've never tried wearing snowshoes, nor, do I EVER care to, as I know, for sure, I'd be down for the count. Great to see y'all as usual. Blessings to you all, Laurel ❤😁
You guys are adorable family! Love your videos... Greetings from Bulgaria (its a country in south east Europe 🙂)! We do not have that much snow here this winter so your videos kinda give me a feeling of a proper winter. Keep up with the good work and may God bless you!
Tina, buy yourself some MSR Lightening Accent snowshoes. I wear these hiking and the are not so long or wide. A great trail snowshoe. Great on crust or ice. On on a traverse. I love how you work together logging…..ha! Be careful of those trees that kick back in you. 😩 I miss the snow machining we did for years. So much fun. Our children loved all the trips we took on them also. Then we moved into skiing and then winter hiking. Ha! No more mountain hiking but still get out to do some hiking trails. Whew! A lot of money went into those Christmas cards. Postage will be going up again this year. I am sure all that sent you a card really appreciate getting one back. The biscuits look absolutely delicious. Never had blueberry biscuits.
We really enjoyed the Christmas card exchange. Every bit of it. All the letters & stories from everyone, laughed & cried lol…did it all. It was a pleasure to be able to send everyone one back!🤍🤍
Hi Tina you where long gone I am so glad to see you guys again wish I can order one of your calenders but I life in south Africa and believe me I will never get it but watch your channel love you all ❤❤❤
Yep, it’s supposed to be higher than the peak but it’s been this way for 15 yrs & it’s fine lol. Maybe we’ll get around to it one day. Thanks for pointing it out tho.
Maybe I'm weird Tina, but I love watching you guys harvesting firewood winter and summer!!! I watch other vlogers do the same thing. I don't know why, I just do. Those boys on the snowboards with Joe pulling them was sooo cool. Joe you and your wife are great parents!!!!👍👍💕❣️💙
Slim Tina 😆, I love that you are so unpretentious! I enjoyed this video sooooo freakin' much that I watched it twice in a row. The scenery, the music, the day-to-day life. That is why I follow you guys. Looking forward to the next video where you're gonna teach us to speak eye-brow. 😂😂😂
Loved watching the boys snowboarding behind the vehicle. In the early sixties my dad pulled us behind the tractor on sleds. We lived to tell about it. 👍🏼
Lovely video. I also have a male cat that is fixed he has never sprayed before he was neutered but as he got older he goes through the action with nothing happening from his backside. He believes he he doing something but nothing come out. The doctor said very normal it’s in the dna for the males to do it. So hopefully Rusty can believe he is marking but have no issues because I’m right there with you I couldn’t have it happening in my home either. So happy Asher is doing so well. Love the birds too.
I am laughing of the cats 🤣 My cat is going crazy too sometimes. She is really an outdoor cat, most of the year, but she is not too happy in the tall snow and record freezing temperatures -27F. She runs up and down the stairs, and if she manages to wind up the dogs on her way the better. It gets loud sometimes! 😅
I'm gonna have to try blueberry biscuits... well blueberry everything! Enjoyed seeing the boys in the snowboards. Before long they will have that down.
At the 34:50 mark, get 2 or 3 plastic wedges. You can pound those in to free the bar and give the tree a little persuasion on which way to fall, or not fall. You should also do plunge/bore cuts after you cut the wedge and establish the hinge. Pound the wedges into it. Then cut the back strap.
Hey thanks. I’m not picking on you. Tree felling is extremely dangerous. Just giving you tips on what went wrong and how to just keep you safer. Nonetheless, the gathering of firewood is quite the labor intensive job - but with its direct rewards! Free(?) heat is one of many God's gift to mankind!
I totally agree with what you said about snowshoes😵💫! I’ve only worn them once and I swear I fell more than I walked and I hope to never have to wear them again! I love it when you and Joe banter back and forth…so darn cute💜!
Sharing this early... after about three days of use, you could consider waxing those boards. They usually come waxed by manufacturer but most like the edge and speed here 🇨🇦 I'm certain the boys could watch a how too and best choice available in your area.❤
Living on a farm and growing up on a fam. You never sit around the table and talk about getting a Gym membership. !!😆 I think the Ram is trying to show his ladies he's the boss... :) OH!! I'm so happy to see Asher and Rusty playing together again. But sad to say when there's ruff housin inside things get moved around or broken. it doesn't matter 2 legged or 3 legged or 4 legged But It make my Heart smile seeing them.
Yeah the kitties broke one of my glass Christmas trees that night Hazel! Lol…lol stinkers!🐈🐈⬛ And you’re right about Samson (the ram), it looked cute & funny but he’s actually been a handful the last couple of months. Very aggressive & trying to show dominance. He’s going to be getting his own pasture here soon. The only person that can go in the pasture right now is Joe. And Joe has to take a shovel or he’ll get rammed. Mhm. Big boys been out on notice.🤣
Hi Tina, absolutely beautiful video. We love watching the bird's so beautiful. The blueberry biscuits look amazing. We love the snow scenes when the lightning is just right and everything looks blue, isn't that so beautiful. We will be waiting for the next one. Oh ya, Tina dont forget you're snow shoes ok. Love Alan&Maria
Thank you so much guys! It is very beautiful for sure. It’s a winter wonderland. Every season here has such unique beauty, anywhere you look. Thanks for watching our video! Hope yall are doing well!🤍🤍
Tina, my son who is an occupational therapist was watching the video with us. He treats rotator cuff injuries. He said do not swing the logs like that especially that high and strong above your shoulder height. You will get an injury.
It'd help to not do it when it's snowing already and your muscles are cold.
Tina, I had a situation similar to your little birdie. He had hit the glass door and knocked himself out, and looked dead, but I picked him up and put him inside a blanket, in a box, in my gazebo, put him some seed and water, and hoped he made it through the night. It’s an unreal winter for us with no snow in Michigan!
I spent 5 weeks from November to Dec 20 in Michigan (I live in Alaska on the K-Pen) I brought my boots and snow pants thinking I’d need them but it was unseasonably warm :(
It looks like the entire Northern part of the US will be getting snow storms soon.
I agree with you I also live in Michigan.
You could do a recipe calendar! That would be a fun one.😊
I’d love a calendar with only the dogs!
Great idea!!
Your drone shots are just amazing. They add so much to your wonderful videos! ♥️
Glad you like them! I have fun with the drone!❄️

@@judyschepp8748 , thank you. You need to just “pat” yourself on the back for 52 years.👏👏💕
@@juliajohnson6022 Thank you too Julie and give yourself a pat too!!!💖🥰💚
Wow Julia, 50 years?!
It was so cute watching your ram go bouncing off😁Winter is so beautiful there🥰
I had been wanting to send the boys some empty spray bottles and food coloring to play on the snow with.
What a cute idea!!!
Joe get some wedges for those trees, helps with directing them.
Love your content guys. My kids are all snowboarders.
For the boys being towed on the snowboard: One thing I learned from water-skiing is to keep your arms straight, hips forward. :)
This recipe looks and sounds like it could become a favorite! I’m really enjoying Canuary 2024. So far, I’ve kept up with all of the videos and met some new channels. Thank you, Leisa!
That song that started about 30 mins in seemed to have been written for you and Joe!😍🇨🇦
That’s why I picked it! I thought the same thing!🤍🤍
I love watching your everyday life as well as when you go do something different. It's allllll goooood!❤
Your one pot dinner looks delicious. Fluffy biscuits too. Another great video. Happy New Year Watson’s.
Thank you, Happy New Year to you too!🥳
Love your video and your beautiful family ❤
Thank you!!❤️
We think you guys are awesome don't never change luvs
What a beautiful video how you capture nature in the winter. I love the bird scenery. Thank you for saving that birds life. I love your videos and I am interested in one of your calendars. 🤗💖🎄❄️
Many thanks!❤️❤️
I think a calendar showing each month one of your recipes and a picture of that recipe (for example: Blueberry Biscuits). Yum!!!
Such a great idea!!
I’ve just come back to your channel to see your progress. Great quality great music you forget all your worries while watching. Thank you
Thank you!
You nailed it with the biscuits they look just like Bo berry biscuits!!!! So yummy!!! From NC
Thank you! 😋
The recipes look so good, and the snow scenes are amazing. I know the boys had fun learning to snow board.
Well hello there greetings. I love your video and likes to see the boys and the skate in the ice. It looks like a lot of fun. God bless you. Good luck.👏🏻❤
Joe, the man of few words OR not 😂😂😂
You watch Tina, here before long, Joe will have his own channel of all about his carpentry work. Never know, do we Joe 🤔
I've never tried wearing snowshoes, nor, do I EVER care to, as I know, for sure, I'd be down for the count.
Great to see y'all as usual.
Blessings to you all,
Laurel ❤😁
You guys are adorable family! Love your videos... Greetings from Bulgaria (its a country in south east Europe 🙂)! We do not have that much snow here this winter so your videos kinda give me a feeling of a proper winter. Keep up with the good work and may God bless you!
Thanks for watching all the way from Europe!!🤍🤍
Tina, buy yourself some MSR Lightening Accent snowshoes. I wear these hiking and the are not so long or wide. A great trail snowshoe. Great on crust or ice. On on a traverse.
I love how you work together logging…..ha! Be careful of those trees that kick back in you. 😩
I miss the snow machining we did for years.
It was a pleasure to be able to send everyone one back!🤍🤍
Hi Tina you where long gone I am so glad to see you guys again wish I can order one of your calenders but I life in south Africa and believe me I will never get it but watch your channel love you all ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching our channel!❤️
i saw as the cam went by that you need to get an extention for the top of the chimnee so it sits higher then the roof i can see ice buld up on it now
Yep, it’s supposed to be higher than the peak but it’s been this way for 15 yrs & it’s fine lol. Maybe we’ll get around to it one day. Thanks for pointing it out tho.
Oh my Joe’s such a great dad! Just helping the boys learn how to be stable on snowboards!
Always thinking of something fun for them and I’m over here like “helmets!” Haha!🤣
Tina girl… these blueberry biscuits were sooooo good thanks for sharing the recipe 😊
You are so welcome! I loved them too!!😋
You are all hardworking but Joe is exceptional. He is definitely not lazy. Always doing something to improve your property
Haha Judy! Well good I’m glad LOL…because sometimes that just so happens to be what we’re up to that week!🤍🤍
Thank you so much!! 😎🤣
Loved watching the boys snowboarding behind the vehicle. In the early sixties my dad pulled us behind the tractor on sleds. We lived to tell about it. 👍🏼
That is awesome! Glad you lived to tell about!🤣
You are soooo funny😂
Blessings from Ontario Canada.
Oh yes!!! They can sure be little rascals LOL!🐈🐈⬛🤣
I'm gonna have to try blueberry biscuits... well blueberry everything! Enjoyed seeing the boys in the snowboards. Before long they will have that down.
Tina enjoyed your lovely video Lot of content and creativity Awesome picturisation and you were looking beautiful and happy
Thank you so much! 🤗
I know I’ve never comment before. But I am today 😊 love your videos and you guys are for sure one of my favourite UA-cam families
Thanks for commenting friend! So glad you enjoy our videos!🤍🤍
we gone need longer videos miss ma'am...joe awesome dad wish i had one like him
I wish I had one like him too friend!🤍
lol get out my head Tina! I was just thinking how much Joe ignores you and then you said he really doesn't lol. Great video!
Right!!🤣
Oh Tina, you and Alex from Black and White in Alaska really make good food. I just love watching you both cook. And Lexie can burn also!👍👍👌😋
At the 34:50 mark, get 2 or 3 plastic wedges.
They usually come waxed by manufacturer but most like the edge and speed here 🇨🇦
I'm certain the boys could watch a how too and best choice available in your area.❤
Would be nice for December you guys put a family pic on the calendar for your followers that appreciate you guys 😉☺️
MAKE A TOW ROPE. FOR KIDS TO GET UP HILL EASIER WHEN SLEDDING OR SNOWBOARDING.
I want someone to create a seniors hill with a ski lift to bring us back up to the top!
@@SJC49 Great idea. Sure Joe can figure that out. He's like me McGuiver.
We got our calendar on Tuesday , enjoy your pictures.
Thank you for ordering one!🤍🤍
Those boys are having a ball. They’ll want Joe to do this daily, and to go faster and faster once they get the hang of it. And that ram is a hoot!!
Wonderful job boys
I want a greets/Christmas/holiday card! Lol! 😆😁
I still have some left! Email me your mailing address!
