@josephwilson8391 Great defense or not. Eli came through in the biggest moments during those amazing runs to the sb. Then he had game winning drives in those sb's. The bigger the moment, the better he played. Would you rather of had Donovan McNabb who was by far the worst big game qb in the history of the league. Great regular season qb but when you needed that last possession game winning drive he choked every time. Eli got you 2 championships. So be quiet and give the guy some credit for being extremely clutch in the biggest spots.
Eli Manning is a HOFer. Nothing to debate here. And if not for Burress with his ridiculous antics, Giants were on their way to repeating as SB Champions. They were absolutely rolling. They may have turned into a dynasty
Based on his last name, 8 games where he was elite, and the fact that he did it for a NY based franchise, you're right there's no debate Sad that you can get in a Hall of Fame just with that on your resume. No one watched Eli play week in a week out during his career and saw greatness. At times he was great, at times he was awful. Not average, but awful. If thats a Hall of Famer to you, then fine. But he should't be in based on a couple of postseason runs. He's closer to Joe Flacco than Tom Brady
Respectfully disagree...Eli was very good/good most seasons...Not GREAT...To be a true HOFer, a player simply needs to be the top 1, 2, or 3 players at their position during their era...And Eli was never that...I love everything Eli did, especially the 2 SB Rings he got, but he is not a HOFer
Eli played in a ridiculous offensive system. Gilbride's silent read system was overly complicated, and when you had new receivers, it took them a long time to understand it. Cruz even said, your route might change 10yds down the field and you had to read the same thing Eli did or the pass might be 15 yards behind you.
Francesca can't do anything but dog the Mets. Pete is getting 30M this year...far from bargain basement. The Mets were always offering a fair price for Pete and clearly every single other team agreed. Stearns played this perfectly.
@@SleepyRainTrain He's been relatively reasonable lately, but the 'he doesn't have Judge behind him anymore' wasn't necessary. None of the yankee boys can resist.
The Mets didn't embarrass Pete..... he's getting the highest AAV this season for any first baseman in MLB history. The market wasn't there.... PERIOD. He won't get to the number they offered him a couple of years ago..... most likely.....but if he has a big year and continues to put big power numbers moving forward....he will wind up making over 100 million+ for the remainder of his career.
With this contract Pete is at 98 million for his career earnings and at the end of this contract he’ll be 32 and will have another 5-6 years in him. He’ll earn close to 200 mil in his career. He’s declined. If he’d hit 50 HR every year since 2019 he would’ve gotten the contract he wanted and then some. This deal is fair for everyone. Mets went up on AAV, Pete came down on years
If the NBA is in bad shape from a business standpoint, then why are the ridiculously high salaries only increasing? Shouldn't there be less money to pay players if the league is struggling?
Eli was a slightly better than average 500 quarterback who was never in the top 5, possibly top 10 any year he played. But 2 super bowls will undoubtedly get him in eventually. he definitely was a clutch guy and will be in. no question.
I would seriously consider battling Stot BEHIND Alonzo. Soto is a much better all around hitter and more consistently dangerous than Alonzo is who is a one dimensional slugger. Pete won't protect Soto as much as Soto can provide protection for Alonzo and allow him to see better pitches.

As a Cowboys I always try to be fair to Eli and not let my bias run wild. I don’t see Tony Romo as a Hall of Famer. I have my reasons for that. Personally, was never an Eli Manning fan, but with his postseason record, and 2 rings, how can he not be in the Hall of Fame? He is way more of a Hall of Famer than his old man ever was.
