Lovely town and views must pay a vist when we come over
I was there in 1987-88 for a few months. All the hotels were at the bottom near the beach and practically no tourist in the old town. I remember the big stairs going up to the old town - there was a mexican restaurant there with live music playing. One of my best holidays ever, but if I see the people there now, I don't think I would want to go back.
Lovely place Ana-wonderful tour there with you and hubby. We were so taken with Altea, that we will book a holiday there in future. Gracias de nuevo y hasta Noviembre (and watch that ice cream!) xx

Visited the town in February there ...the light for photography purposes was magical ...I can imagine quite different in summer as happens everywhere now that covid now a bad memory ...hasta la vista Altea

Beautiful Alteal town must be a nightmare for the locals when we the tourist's descend on it I like to visit out of season much quieter
Sadly it’s not easy, many people go away for summer, it’s mostly older generation here, families with children go further away from touristic streets
Tourism pays family's a salary let's not forget that
How do we get to Altea from Benidor. Can we take the Bus and will this leave us close to the old town area. ? And if so, what time the bus is available to go back to Benidorm? I am planing a trip. Thanks
Bus n10, every 15min, stops next to the old town, bus driver will let you know 👍🏼
