How after so many decades can this song hurt so much? Longing for a better time and place I guess. If I live to be 100 there will never be a happier summer than 1976. Keep on Rollin' ladies!
This song is so well produced with great performances from all the lads. There were tears from the audience when they played it at that concert in Japan! Scotland must be so very proud of them. I hope there is a Rollers' museum in Edinburgh acknowledging their amazing achievements. We will never, never forget them. Regards, Jo.
As Eric has said. The Bay City Rollers were Alan's band. We will not let Alan's memory or the music die. We will keep both alive and in our hearts. Rest In sweet peace Alan.
Let's show love and caring for the remaining members. Seems like Derek could use some love . Becoming a cardiac nurse takes a very special, empathetic and compassionate person. A good source said Derek Longmuir was a natural caring for the sickest of the sick . He trained many other nurses and saved more than a few lives who came back to thank him personally. My mum underwent open heart surgery and its hard enough to watch someone you love go through that. Without such good nurses I myself damn near fell to pieces and they were also caring for my mum as well. I heard what happened to Derek and I believe he was set up . He's a good man and we need to show our love to the remaining members.
Les McKeown your music will never die. I miss you so much you will always have a special place deep within my heart. I love you more than you will ever know my beautiful angel sleep tight Lorraine McKeown xxxxxx

What a great song!! Describes everything perfectly now that Les is gone😥. I have had their songs on my phone forever, and they have been all I've been listening to since I heard about Les. I am a 53 year old grandmother, and I am proud so say that i still love BCR after all these years!💞. Thank u for all the great memories Alan, Ian and Les. U were my first love Les lol at 8 years old. U r all dearly missed💜❤😭.

This song has taken on a whole new meaning since Alan Longmuir has passed over. Strangers In The Wind was the best Roller album. A mature set of songs....many with very poignant lyrics from Eric and Woody.

Me too..."Don't Let The Music Die", "The Way I Feel Tonight" and "Hey, Beautiful Dreamer" are my top three favorite songs. I've already told my kids that I want them all played when I bite the dust (or I'll haunt them). RIP to Alan, Ian, and Leslie--you are greatly missed. All my love to Eric forever! 🥰❤
I loved Leslie when I was a student of juniour high school and went to their concert. BCR taught me splendor of western music and to sing songs in English , Thanks to them, I could go to the world, for instance, USA, UK, France, and Germany. since I become to have interested in Western . Good bye Leslie, and thank you!! I miss you.
Awesome appealing 70s band, lovable members, les, Derek, Allan, woody, eric, ian, pat , every song was awesome I dont think I've heard one rollers song I didnt like, and usually theres always the odd one or two in every artists collection
Great song...every time I invited a girl into my party cellar and sang it for her. They were melting like butter in the sun, and that's true. I'm happy that they start a comeback, but these time will never come back...so sad.
This is a beautiful song,Alan would of been proud it's played a lot on UA-cam. Hope the other guys have been safe with this lockdown. The Bay City Rollers will always will be in my memories.🎸

This song is one of the greatest
Yes, it is definitely legendary.

Listening to this, singing it through the tears as I mourn Leslie's passing. Oh, Leslie, you were so very much loved.
I’ve been listening to him too. I just can’t believe it. 💔
Yes he definitely will be remembered.
Alan, Ian, and now Les, Don't ever Let The Music Die!
I wholeheartedly agree. God Bless the Bay City Rollers!
I won't let the music die love and miss you les
I love this song very very very much
I can listen for over and over again never feel tired.
50代のオッサンですけどローラーズの中でこの曲が一番好きです

Yesterday when I was young......(ノω・、) ウゥ・・・liveで一緒に歌えるように歌詞覚えたなー。
今聴くと胸に響く度合いが違う。素晴らしい歌。
Yesterday when I was young
I played the game and never won
Thought rock and roll would bless
my soul forever.
Songs of love and ecstasy
Remind me how it used to be
I thought those days would never end
But now it seems I need a friend
I remember all those days gone by
I remember all their faces
The old familiar places
Don't let the music die,
No our song could last forever
Don't let the music die,
Don't let the music die
And though we've said goodbye,
We could spend our lives together,
So as time goes by
Don't let the music die
Yesterday, the world was mine
I played the clown and Pantomime
Or was it just a dream that's gone
forever
Echoed voices from the past
Recall the songs I thought would last
And say "Those times will never die"
And the love we share's the reason why
I remember all those days gone by
I remember all their faces,
The old familiar places
Don't let the music die,
No our song could last forever
Don't let the music die,
Don't let the music die
And though we've said goodbye,
We could spend our lives together,
So as time goes by
Don't let the music die
When we were young we had our time
And we would drink
sweet talking wine
but now that it's over
All the songs sound out of rhyme
Don't let the music die,
No our song could last forever
Don't let the music die,
Don't let the music die
And though we've said goodbye,
We could spend our lives together,
So as time goes by
Don't let the music die
