The KROWRX X-Tegra is an example of a new type of sports car inspired by the Ariel Atom's and Exocets of the world: the "body-off" sports car. Rather than design a chassis, like an Exocet, that can accomodate a commonly available powertrain, the people at KROWRX simply take the body off a 1997 Acura Integra entirely, and, that's about it. They put a cage there. It's still just a front-drive econobox, only without a body. So even at just 140 horsepower, the X-Tegra only has around 1,100 pounds of car to pull around.

Tasteless stickerbombing? Crown Royal shift boot? Sounds like my Integra. I also plastidipped the car white with, at best, C+ sharpie art. It makes decent horsepower but the dickbag needle is pegged, which is what I enjoy after a long day of being ignored in my speed 6.

Its slow because its a stock LS with paint. It needs a GSR or Type R motor for sure, or boost. Also, im sure they recommended a full face helmet. it certainly needs some wheel guards and some body panels

2 things come to mind... Why don't you wear a full face? Getting hit by rocks and shit seems kind of obvious on a track when following cars... 2nd thing being why the hell did they not install a windshield? Was a plank of plexiglass deemed too heavy and complicated to install?

TheSmokingTire seams like they built a cool show car for Instagram, but had no idea how to build a race car.
TheSmokingTire i felt alot of hate generated throught the video, but reasonable hate. The lack of front tubs, windshield, Type R Trans, Vtec Head and Tuning the car felt like a turd. I wish your first experience was a better one, but no vtec and no short gear tranny makes for no fun!

It's understandable, hard to talk with 60-80 mph wind in your face.
No power, horrible aero makes it very light on its wheels and feel uncontrollable. So light that it’s very easy to lock the brakes. Aero wall at 70 mph and it won’t go faster. No point

We would have gotten more info if it was good. How Fast is an Integra GS with it's body panels? Probably just as fast as the one without because the drag seems to counter act the amount of drag they added while taking away all that weight. It's slow and you can tell other than that it's no race car, looks really dangerous because his left side of his body is totally vulnerable and you eat rocks from when a car passes you till it gets 150 feet passed you. Yeah I think sketchy is enough. There wasn't enough thought put into the car. You know how much a one or two piece fiber glass aero and some weldec rod supports would go on this car? It either needs some real aero, or at least aerial amounts of aero and a decent amount more power. Aren't the slow aerials at least 180 hp? With some actualy body panels covering air catches, not 140 with every area available to have air flow completely directed into the front engine area of the car? It might as well have been a called a full area air brake with an engine fighting it 100% of the time. Then people would expect it to drive exactly how it did.

If it was a b18c it would be fairly quick. The b18b is non -vtec and the ls trans has long gearing.

A man recently died in my town driving one of these on the street. A very unfortunate event but the picture of the car shows that the “cage” clearly had no real structural rigidity.
Heck, I'm less than 5 miles from where he wrecked. Looking at his instagram account 2lo_2go he modified it himself or a friend who wanted him dead. Didn't even fab x-braces or any triangulation and basically did a perimeter frame. The only places it attached to the original frame were vertical piping which is why . It almost looks like he purchased a Rhodes 13-4512-CM roll cage kit ($750) but used the cross bracing and triangulation piping to build a front bumper of sorts. WAVY has an article titled, Man driving modified car dies in Chesapeake crash, with video showing how mangled it got.

The Kansas Dude This cart have 50% weight of Integra, have same power/gear ratios, much more weight % over front end. Aero plays role on higher speeds. As for me its almost impossible that stock Integra is faster to 60.

LOL as a motorcycle rider I have confidence that even my modified bike is structurally sound to push to _my_ limits (obv not even close to the limits of the vehicle). If dude who has been in countless track situations is not confident enough in what these dudes hacked up then it's a testament to the build.

@@NjoyMoney that is a gross underestimation on how much aero plays a role in handling, and even then the Ariel atom is known to be sketchy and not very fun, with some directly comparing the less powerful BAC Mono as the more fun vehicle due to how confidence inspiring it is. Cars have to be engineered from the ground up to work, and this isn't engineered from the ground up to work, it's hacked together by people who don't truly understand engineering
You keep saying it's slow but I hear no tire squeal through the corners meaning you are not pushing it anywhere near its limit not taking advantage of it's positive strengths...light weight and wide tires with massive grip making it fast through the corners which is where a car like this shines..
I guess it would take some set time to be comfortable pushing it to it's limits....and a full face helmet might have been a good idea with no windshield lol.
