- In this video I design Automatic Motorized LEGO Eye Protection Goggles that can react FASTER THAN A HUMAN! its like a REAL LIFE "Spidey-Sense"
The reason I decided to make this is because I got hit in the eye with a foam dart last year, and realized that I wasn't able to stop it because of my slow reaction time. Therefore, I invented this. I hope you enjoy. DON'T TRY THIS!

This is probably my favourite thing you have built, and the fact that it is able to stop the force of a nerf rival round is absolutely insane!
The goggles DID NOT STOP it.
It was the front motor.
But the goggles were closed fast enough
I have shot a need rival kronos at Lego like that it broke it
Also it fires a lot faster

Cool idea! One thing you can do in your programming is put your motors for on, then put a wait block. Put that to wait for motor rotation 90 degrees!

It was oddly satisfying to watch you build the helmet base and fit it to your head. But anyway, that was awesome! I haven't made Lego armor since I was little, and between this and the articulate gloves/hand extensions, yours is looking good.

I love how the dart didn't even hit the goggles instead it hit the motor just above it. This means if there was no protection it would have hit just above the eye. This is still a really cool idea

i'd wear sheets of graphene (looi'd wear sheets of graphene (look it up for more info)
I have two improvements to suggest. Lego has ultrasonic sensors and their distance can be set in code. Additionally, you are limited by the speed of the motor. Instead of waiting for the full 90 degrees of turning you should make a clamp that just drops the glasses on your face with only like 10 degrees of movement making it way quicker.
Or just wear safety glasses LIKE A NORMAL PERSON

Actually the second idea is nice but I took lessons about this lego ev3 and the ultrasonic sensor was not that fast at all but if it was you would be right
i swear to god you could make a iron man suit using this kind of tech

I remember having a nerf war with my friend and we both jumped out of a corner at the same time and shot eachother in the eye at the same time. I was like 5 but didnt cry probably cause i was having alot of fun. Thanks for that memory riley

The last points about safety goggles, glasses, etc…I can vouch for that. I’ve been wearing glasses long enough that if I ever somehow didn’t need them anymore my eyes would be in serious danger lol…my glasses have saved me from myself on many an occasion 😬

Or, just thought of this, it’s an out of this world idea, trust me the build up is worth it, this is a really long run on sentence, you could just…wear eye protection. I know, I know it’s a genius idea no one even thought of.
