      it sometimes does, ever eard of motorized coasters? those are mostly kiddy coasters and there is a motor with drive in the train propelling it forward

    • @adakalyoncu1913
      @adakalyoncu1913 2 місяці тому

      This thing doesn’t have it’s own drive outside of launches either. The drive tire is mounted on the train to save from materials and increase the total time the train gets to be pushed off of the total launch time, not to be able to serve thrust throughout the whole layout. It is still as gravity operated as a conventional roller coaster as there are no grip pads on the track outside of launches that the train can produce thrust off of. The grip pads mounted on the track is more efficient because the total time the train is contacting the launch mechanism out of the total launch time is more than the first method where drive tires were seperated and the train would spend some time after exiting one tire coming onto the next.

    Weight-drop launch: Doesn't exist IRL. Closest thing would be a traditional coaster where the train itself is the weight. The system you're using to transfer energy from the weight to the train, however, is very similar to the one used on Intamin's Accelerator model of hydraulic launch.
    Catapult Launch: Doesn't exist IRL, but is similar in concept to a drive tire launch, like on Hulk or Firechaser Express.
    Drive Wheels: As mentioned before, this is the system used on Hulk and Firechaser Express.
    Self-Propelled: This is not actually classified as a type of launch. However, powered coasters do exist. Runaway Mine Train at Alton Towers and Dragen at LEGOLAND Billund are two examples.

    • @CatofthePotatoes
      @CatofthePotatoes 3 місяці тому +2

      Weight Drop launches absolutely do exist. The first four Schwarzkopf shuttle loops used them, and two of those four still operate! It was only the later shuttle loops that used flywheels.

    • @CatofthePotatoes
      @CatofthePotatoes 3 місяці тому

      It is worth noting though that the real weight drop system is a fair bit more complicated than what's shown in the video, but the concept is still the same.

    Kes? Your entire analogy and explanation is TOTALLY forgetting the KEY point… lien was either seriously unwell, not interested, off her face, or on an entirely different planet in EVERY appearance….
    Reports about her performance and behaviour had risen weeks after filming started BEFORE caretaker was even shown, we have heard the cast and crew repeatedly tell of her refusal to act, refusal to involve herself in development, her bizarre and often criminal behaviour on sets etc..
    Saying her character had the bizarre development had EVERYTHING to do with her commitment and nothing to do with writing , editing or chance
