Here’s a quick fix-if anyone asks you for $ say “no.” Boom.
6:37 "Engaged in a relationship" *HOW* ??? Talking, texting, and emailing are not a relationship. Meeting in person and going out on dates is a relationship.
right- In recent times people called each other on the phone and talked, or wrote letters, drove or rode their bikes to someone's house to visit, went out on real dates not text or chat online. They had to have some level of vocabulary and writing skills to communicate, not just an emoji. No need to leave the house now, text, email, picture of your lunch posted on media site. Never a period in history with more people but many are more isolated than ever......
An AI profile can be whipped up in seconds. It's a scammers paradise.
I stay away from them and any dating app is a recipe for both a disaster and financial burden
One guide book to Las Vegas advises men, "If she's good-looking and she thinks YOU'RE interesting, there's something wrong." That could be true for anyone, anywhere.
Why would you give anyone money 💴 on line ever!!! When you don’t sit down to dinner and had a background check done ✅. This is not a relationship it’s just conversation.
With this new voice generated AI it may not even be that now.
If you're looking for perfection, the scammers are ready to fulfill your dreams!
This has been around for decades. Way before smart phones.
I remember the people that used to put ads in the classified in newspapers. I thought, who's responding to these ads? Those were mostly aimed at men for mail order brides, but it's all just a variation.
I prefer the traditional route of dating what you see is what you get.
Looks can be deceiving. Ted Bundy.
There have been plenty of cases of men manipulating, telling lies, being abusive, and robbing women throughout the past 200 years. It doesn't take a degree in history to figure out that men have been crappy to women throughout history, and not 'just' due to meeting on the Internet.
I think that many of these victims are afraid to meet their imaginary friends in person because, deep down, they know it is too good to be true.
I am single 🙂.
I've never used a dating app. If I cannot meet u in person. Then I do not want 2 know u................
Where are you living??
@@yahia2696leave her alone
@@yahia2696 Exactly. That comment is an ignorant thing to say to someone living in a rural farming town of 400 people, in the middle of Fly Over Zone, where there is no one your age, and no dating pool.

STAY OFF OF DATING WEBSITES AND APPS!!!
This is been going on for almost 20 years and it’s been exposed over and over again. What it comes down to is common sense. And no amount of warning will work if you don’t have that.
This! There's more than enough information available on this but people continue to give their money away. Personal accountability is a must.
I noticed that they are overlooking one important element here. Remember when the daughter said her mother's conversations with the scammer were switching to late at night? I think the mother may have been sending inappropriate photos and that is how she was blackmailed into breaking the law.
The best way to avoid being scammed is not to talk to people for months online. Dating apps are supposed to introduce you to people who you meet in person. If they're not willing to meet move on, they're a scammer or catfish. Meet safely in a public place within one week or block and move on.
Between the date rps, domestic violence, stalkers, scammers.. idk how anyone continues to try dating in 2024. 4B. Good luck to those of you willing to take the risk.
I just got a cat. 'll give it 2 more years then I'll give up

Good for you! These scam stories just prove that even wealthy people can be gullible and not know how to hide their wealth status.
Why are these stories never focused on accountability of the person giving the money? No matter how many security parameters are in place, that will not stop grown adults from making insane decisions to give money to strangers.
Everything boils down to personal accountability but it's a big issue when 30% of profiles are scammers.
An ex friend met her narcissistic husband on one and he has used her like she were his own personal savings and loan
This all stems from lack of confidence in oneself. Desperation drives these people to send money. They pay very dearly for their fantasies. After all these years of warnings they still do it. They are not victims, they are volunteers.
Bars are dangerous too.
I hate to say this, but I almost feel like at a certain age you should just stop dating.
It’s never too late to find love. The approach just needs to be different. Going to charity events vs online would be more beneficial in my opinion. Plus a woman should never give a man money, online or in real life. So not sure why these grown women are falling for these scams.
I agree. I’m divorced after 32 years of marriage and raising 3 kids. Been divorced for 6 years and I’m done with men . I’m happy with my life now and don’t need it disrupted with stupid nonsense. Can’t believe women actually fall for this crap!!!
🤭🤭😊 yup! Im 60 and not going there. Its all a scam!
I still love men. That’s never gonna change for me.
@@margo3367 After 45 years, men can find their own way. I am tired now and men are just very large children as far as I am concerned. Im happily alone at 60. My son is all grown and I am doing just me now. Nobody else..😊especially a needy 65 year old man..
Yeah i prefer meeting in person face to face. What happen to the good ole days when signals of interest were easy to read? 🤔
Look in the mirror. Remember your age. Finding “love” after a certain age, weight, and looks is extremely difficult to find as evidenced by the losses of billions of dollars generated in this scam. Learn to embrace a hobby, grandchildren, children, community, and you will be fine.
Amen!! Well said!!
Seriously, it's not that hard. You NEVER send money or gift cards or your personal information to strangers. If someone asks for something that's your clue to block them. And for Pete's Sakes, learn how to do a Reverse Image Search!
Imagine using a "dating" app in this day and age. Most of them are full of fake profiles and attention seekers
I never understood how that even can work. I know, people have done it and maybe it was successful but I'm old school. That could never work for me.

I am 63 years young. Definitely not naïve enough, to be on a dating app that’s just in my opinion of recipe for disaster. I am single, but I refuse to use any dating website whatsoever. If I’m going to date, it’s going to be either, meaning people through church, or family members, or really close friends. Otherwise, I’m extremely happy being single, living an independent life as a blind woman.
It’s hard sitting here, listening to someone spend over a million to someone they never met, when they could have sent that money to someone they know personally and improve that persons life.
Personally I think if you have to use a dating site looking for love, then your self-esteem is too low. There is no such thing as love as in the love you know it to be. Love comes from a genuine intimate relationship. There are different types of love. There is hubby and wife love, parental love, worldly love AKA lust, and Godly love which is unconditional.
People really still be addicted to these sites like it's 2002. And just like with all the other forms of social media, that's exactly what it is... An addiction. Match was started in 1995 for gods sake. If you're dumb enough to still be on it in 2024, you get what you deserve. 🔥💰
Theres nothing wrong with online dating. People are just too stupid to ask proper questions, use critical thinking, and to not be manipulated by strangers they don't know. I found my husband on okcupid becuase I knew what to look for and what to avoid. But since that's to hard for the rest of society then yeah sure stay off the Dating apps lol🤣
It boils down to one's responsiblity, but we still can't have 30% of profiles being scammers. Dating websites need to put security over profits.
Simple solution. Stay away from all dating apps. Just use common sense.
We got the love, you got the money, deal! 😅
i mostly find scammers too. i can not afford to get out period, and i have no transporation so dating apps are my only hope really. but so far. scammers everywhere, and they arnt fooling me
If you can’t afford to get out you will never meet anyone.
@@lindaslattery8341 its life. and i gotta rely on god and jesus to send someone my way. just a epic patience game rn
I'm sorry about your situation, and I hope you don't take this question personally, but I'm honestly curious, if you can't afford to get out and have a transportation issue right now, how will you be able to afford having a partner in life and dating that person and possibly marrying that person??? Are you planning on having that partner pay for everything? Relationships are all about compromise and sharing (bills, housing, etc...). Just curious what your intentions are in finding a partner? Just to have the person pay for your needs? I'm asking because I've met men who were struggling financially and we're not ashamed to admit that they are staying in their relationships ONLY because of the financial support that girl was providing for them. I've also met a man who tried to use me for financial support and nothing else! It makes me really question whether people these days are FAKING LOVE just for financial gain or support from their partners!!?? 😡SMH..
@@jklfds85 im not worried, god will provide when the time comes if im not raptured before i find love
Black planet was all we needed 20 years ago.
all i have gotten is scammers and fake profiles linking to adult websites. cant find a real person which sucks.
I will say that I like to mess with scammers, so I ask them to go to WhatsApp because most times you can see by phone number where they are calling from. I like to waste their time, hoping that it means a few less people they scammed that day.
Sometimes I wonder who is scamming who, many of the women and some men post ten year 25 pounds ago photos or they photoshop their current pictures. It is human nature to send a good photo. I mean do we ever see unflattering obituary photos?, but it has gotten completely out of hand. That is why they do not push meeting these people in real life. Scammers know this and use it to manipulate people. We really need to be honest about this.
If you're not that attractive and a really attractive person is into you. You gotta think something is up. If that person acts very suspicious then it's probably a money catcher and not a real person looking for love.
The scamming will only continue to evolve into a more and more dangerous scenarios.
My friend and I destroyed some scammers yesterday. No less than 186 combined crank calls in one hour. Today, the scammer’s number is still disconnected.
Dating apps are for bottom feeders 😮
Apparently not, if these women have six figures or even millions in their accounts to just hand over to scammers! 😬 I would correct your statement and say dating apps are for gullible people.
@jklfds85 bottom feeders are not all poor, just poor quality, you mistake money for quality.
Shut them all down.
Ladies… they always have a sick child 🙄🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
There are always people who say they met their spouse online, but I can’t help but wonder if they hadn’t chased love (and yes, if you’re on an app, you’re chasing love-period!) and been patient and met IRL if they might have met someone better for them. If I can’t meet someone IRL than I will remain single.

Agreed. If you are giving money to a person you've never even met in real life or even talked to, you're not too bright. If you gave that stranger over a million dollars, that's just plain ignorance.
