- We are very fortunate to be able to participate in a family fun and fruitful event this year, smelt fishing dip-netting. I consider this is a festival due to the mass amount of people come out for it, that makes it very special!

It's Cowlitz River. They open one or twice annually if we are lucky.

Hi, we fried them up and kids love it and I do too. We also braised fish with pepper, more like the Vietnamese style. I'll will try to do a short video. Thanks for the suggestion!

@@mazlosoutdooradventures8594 frying them is simple, I added a bit of salt. Braised them, it's a little bit complicated and my wife is the expert. I would have to seek for her expertise:)

@@WestCoastOutdoors California everything is regulated/ prohibited, and in most other Western states dip nets are not a legal mean of fishing.
