XG genuinely excites me in a way that few kpop groups tend to do at this point of the generation. The way that they have murdered their debut and then mascara is absolutely incredible. I just need a full album asap. The girls really are killing it.

Spice Girls and Little Mix weren't called UK-pop just like Destiny's child and TLC and weren't called US-pop either.
They also perform in really proficient English and their music has a lot more Western influences than Korean ones.

XG is actually a Japanese/global girl group formed by XGALX which is a sub label of a Japanese entertainment company Avex entertainment which is apparently a very huge entertainment company in Japan. They did promote in Korean Music shows for Mascara. The girls’ voices that you liked were Juria and Chisa in the order they sing on the pre-chorus and are the designated vocalists in the group.

XG is a group with all Japanese members they sing in English a promote in Korea. Which kinda confused me when I started listening to their music😅😅 but trust me it’s worth it the girls are really talented and amazing!!❤️

I love how you spoke about NMIXX and how honest and respectful you are, it’s truly a breath of fresh air. I’m not personally an NMIXX fan but I don’t mind their music and it bothers me when people dismiss the talented girls just because they don’t personally enjoy the song.
Also p.s. I absolutely loved the DICE music video and concept 😊
The problem is that to a certain point it doesn't matter how talented you are if you don't use your talent in a good way. You can have the best voice ever, but if your song sucks no one is going to listen to them. NMIXX are full of talent, I think one of the most all around groups I've seen, but their music isn't good. In the meaning that the majority of people don't like it. Jyp needs to give them better song, while still showcasing their talent, so they can reach the succes they deserve

@@chesiresays cool it down a little bit? I didn't say that they song sucked. In the first phrase the subject weren't NMIXX. It was an exaggeration to make my point. And it is objectivly true that their song weren't well received by the majority. You can like it personally. Doesn't mean it's good. The problem is that NMIXX are a new group, they need a solid fan base first. Or they will be forgotten, especially with how fierce the competition has become between the new girl groups. They don't shine among them. And it's a shame because they have the talent to be the best, but if they aren't given the right song it doesn't matter. And from groups from big companies the likes and so means nothing in the beginning, because it's sure they will have it, but the support won't go on if they don't put out music people like.
@@chesiresays it was an example. There ere a lot of artists that are incredible singers, but they song just aren't liked. And it's obvious every new artist in kpop wants to be liked and have a fan base. It's how it works in kpop. You are talking as if I want to give them the direction that I liked. I don't care what genre they do. They just have to do it well. Do you think they wanted to do this songs or that it was JYP that pushed them? There are really few artists there that have the freedom to do what they want, a lot complained that they wanted to change concept and were ignore. They can follow whatever they want, but need to do it well. I will make an example, and it's not to say one group is better than the other. Hyperpop. It's a genra that haven't been successful in kpop in the last generation, like at all. But then Aespa came and it worked, they are one of the top groups now. Or Ive, it's not like they concept is super original, but they do it well and they songs are good, that's why they are so liked. NMIXX need producers that can make better songs, that can break through the general public, whatever genra it is. I personally do not care about their music, since it isn't my cup of tea, and I wouldn't even if they made better song in the same style. What I care is that they are successful, because, as I said, they are too talented, they can have so much more.

Twice is my ultimate group but I’m so glad to see Lapillus make it to this reaction video alongside other more popular groups. I really think the group is underrated for such vocal and dancing talent they have. Somehow I feel MLD need to invest more in promoting Lapillus. Chanty is the girl you are vibing most. She’s a foreign member (Argentinian-Filipino), they also have a Chinese-American memebr Hue, who hit that crazy note at the end. Their leader is Japanese and the rest pf the members are Korean. They are a very diverse group!

Pls let these girls grow to their peak. For a group not even a half year old, they already have presence, stage awareness, and a lot more to give entertaining performances. Give more time for them to improve, their talents are there and can be honed. Like caitlin said, all the groups are working hard so let's recognize their efforts and also give chances and support to this new generation of kpop idols 😊 we should let them spread their wings, not be the ones who cut them off

I LOVE HOW YOU ACKNOWLEDGE CHANTY FROM LAPILLUS!!! A little info about Chanty: her real name is Chantal Videla, a Filipino - Argentinian woman. she was an actress in the Philippines, hosting shows and stuff, before being called by a company to train. seems like in their debut song, she didn't receive much lines and exposure :(( AMAZING VOCALS ISNT IT!!!! LOVE YOUUU

I agree so much with what you said Caitlin about how XG have made their own sound clear in only 2 songs releases.. I feel like if they drop a new song and I listen to it without knowing they are the group behind it I would still be able to tell without a problem, is like their personality shine strongly so it makes easy to recognize and remember them

I HAD TO TAKE A BREAK FROM WATCHING THIS BUT IM BACK AND I NEED TO SAY THAT XG IS OUTSTANDING, the vocals and the dancing are INSANE, their dance performances are crazy ❤ if you have to time to watch them ! I think you'll really like Twice's "Feel Special", because of one, the lyrics, and two, it's more similar to the mature sound that "Talk that Talk" has too.
"Fancy" is another reaaally great song by Twice that will probably suit you more.

I'm so happy how you're one of the people who appreciated the lyrics, Seo Jieum has been IVE's lyricist for all of their title tracks and it's still connected to their concept about being Narcissistic. That's why the lyrics can mean after liking themselves, they have finally learned to love themselves fully. Also, the instrumental is sampled from Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive! Truee .. Burn with Love is one of the best released song this year for me, it's completely different from their debut and first comeback title tracks and I can listen to it even on road trips.. Lapillus b-sides QUEENDOME and Burn with Love is a bop ..

XG is a global group created jointly by producer Jakops and Japanese huge company avex.
All the members are Japanese (one person is a mix of Japanese and Australian), and their debut on a music show is in Korea, but it's not jpop or kpop.
They are a HIPHOP/R&B girl group.
Lapillus is very underrated. I hope a lot of people discover them like you. They are one of the few in 4th gen that CAN perform.

They are a japanese group from a japanese company XGALX a subsidiary of AVEX.
All the members were born and raised in Japan, but Harvey is half Australian. Their producer has said that they don't consider themselves J Pop or Kpop, they are just a global Hip hop and R&B group, that's why their songs are in English. Also, all the members speak Japanese, English and Korean.👍

As for TWICE, I think I remember watching your video and you reacted to their earlier stuff. I think you would really like their more recent titles and albums, starting with Fancy, Feel Special, I Can’t Stop Me, Cry for Me, Scientist, The Feels and obviously Talk That Talk. Their recent Japanese titles are also incredible!
As for albums, I recommend Eyes Wide Open, it’s the album to the title track I Can’t Stop Me, it’s honestly one of the best Kpop albums I have ever heard and it’s almost completely written by the members.
