Chrome +Aluminum Alloy does not sound like a marriage made in heaven. Thanks for the great tip. On your suggestion I ordered the thicker Miracle Paint. Great stuff.
Polished are awesome. No leaks or corrosion/flaking and the finish has a slightly softer tone that’s super nice. Unfortunately they have to be polished often to keep them looking new.
A mechanic shop recently put tire glue on my rims after they found out my stock rims had shards peeling off, to prevent the tires from leaking. Do you think that is a good fix? I think resurfacing the rims would have been better.
Planning on getting used rims for my car and do this method and swap the tires onto the cleaned off and patched rims with new air stems and see how it performs.
Hey man I have a 1990 mercades 300d 2.5 turbo diesel that the throttle cable that’s going to the pedal is broken and I can’t find it online what is the exact name for it or do you have a video on how to replace it if you don’t can you tell me the exact name because I need it all that’s holding the wire going from my pedal to the throttle to pull it down to accelerate is zip ties that keep breaking

battling this issue on my Toyota tundra wheels. what tool worked best for removing the corrosion areas? how has your repair held up from a year ago? thanks
Hi, I have a 240D and i need help. When I want to give signal to other drivers it doesn't flash the headlights. Do I have to replace something? PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I have a problem not related to this topic that I am having a hard time getting answers for. My car is a 1983 300sd and the transmission shifts too quickly. It will be in 4th gear by 25mph. As long as I shift it manually, it goes ok. I hope you can help. Thanks
Those are pesky transmissions and there are multiple adjustments. I wrote a complete manual on troubleshooting and adjustment. Here is the link if you are interested: mercedessource.com/store/search?keys=peak%20performance
Omg this happens to my centra wheels. I work on a shop so it’s good I can remove and add beam sealer and still leaking. Do u have centra wheels caps? Lmk
Bead sealer never works on chrome alloys for very long. You have to stop the corrosion. I have had Centra wheels in the past. They seem to corrode even worse than the Mercedes factory alloys. Sorry no center caps here.
If there is pitted corrosion on the aluminum, yes you can fill with Miracle Paint. I do not sell suckers but I do give out free lemon heads with most orders. :-)
Yes we do carry it in the heavy duty silver formula: mercedessource.com/store/search?keys=silver+miracle+paint&category=All&chassis=All&location=178&type_1=All&condition=All
Looking forward to the update. My chrome wheels are also a corrosion nightmare.

My mother used to say, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating". (My favourite is bread and butter pudding).
ThankYou for this! Beautiful work!
Stripped and polished aluminum look great too. More maintenance though, I expect.

Bead sealer is usually only a temporary repair as it will not stop the underlying corrosion.
Awesome insight. Thank you👍

Where to find the Miracle paint? As I could not find anything like it in nearby store.
It is not available in stores. Here is the link to purchase online: mercedessource.com/store/search?keys=miracle%20paint

It is called the accelerator cable. Not readily available. You could check with the Mercedes Benz Classic Center to see if they have one.

hello sir. Any update on the repair using miracle paint? did you lose air?
Still no leaks after three years.
Will it be ok to use sealant once rims are applied with miracle paint?
No problem but really not needed unless the pitting is so severe you can not smooth it out with multiple layers of miracle paint.

I wish we could get Miracle Paint here in the UK
So what's the update on the rims leaking?
At the end of 2023 they are still not leaking.

@@Mercedessource my centra wheels the previous owner painted them charcoal grey. All 4 of them and the 2 he left them normal color.
How about if the wheels are just alloy? Should I still apply miracle paint. BTW: that sucker is expensive:)

that stuff works good
Where how do i buy miracle paint what brand
Here is the link to the kit with video instructions. mercedessource.com/store/rust-and-corrosion-small-pit-filling-and-leveling-kit
How many rims can you get with the kit? My son has a Nissan Versa and he has been having issues with leaking around the beads on both front tires.
It will easily do the bead areas on 4 wheels.
Where do I buy the miracle paint?
On my website. www.mercedessource.com
Very promising!!
Is this paint available in silver color?
Yes we do carry it in the heavy duty silver formula: mercedessource.com/store/search?keys=silver+miracle+paint&category=All&chassis=All&location=178&type_1=All&condition=All
@@Mercedessource Hi. That link leads to only black miracle paint. Did you discontinue the silver color?
Magic!!!
Would nitrogen fill help?
Unlikely. Might slow corrosion from moisture
The proof is in the pudding...But what flavor of pudding is it ?
My testing has shown that chocolate holds up best over time.
