I recall a Dev mentioning in interview Raxxla 'is a journey everyone must take for themselves' and all I'll say for now is I've seen some passenger missions with very curious destinations. I feel there would be threads to the mystery buried within such boards, as the passenger lounge commonly leads CMDRs to points of lore significance and exceptional views off the beaten track.
Many a time have I scaled the preverbial galactic mountain, felt on top of of my game only to drop out of super cruise onto a load of oap tourists waving at me in there dolphin tour buses, cameras in hand. Less than 1% of systems have even been visited let alone thoroughly mapped. Heck, there are systems two jumps from the bubble that haven't been thoroughly mapped. Not to mention nearby no-fly zones.

Random side note: I'm currently part of a small scale expedition to search a specific area of space on a tin foil theory for Raxxla. As I'm flying around to look at various planets in our systems I'm noticing that if you cut the music, in super cruise I'm hearing interesting noises. Almost like I'm hearing a thunderstorm going on around me but I'm just super cruising around a system. It's interesting. I'm going to start paying attention and seeing if these noises are the same in every instance or if they vary based on system. Trying to make sense of these voices and whispers in witch space. Love all your series so far as well. They inspire me to want to go see some of the old lore I haven't seen in ages or that I have never bothered to go out and see for myself.
I hear that a lot too but I think those are sounds that your ship makes to alert you of different gravity levels. For instance if you are close to a sun you will hear an almost constant rumbling. But this makes no sense unless your ship is making the sound as a sort of navigational aide.
Man your videos about these mysterious topics has me almost making popcorns to watch. It's amazing how you manage to do this and bc of you I got hooked on Elite again!! thanks

One thing I've always tried to point out? Why would a planet, supposed to have been in Andromeda, end up in the Milkyway? There are two RAXXLAs. Allegedly. One, a Coriolis station, where one stopped to ask for permission to use a gateway (to Andromeda), and the planet itself, somewhere in Andromeda...which Jason Ryder once located. I believe the one we seek is a station. And it may very well be wherever the Dark Wheel hideout is...which recently someone pointed out could be the permit locked LFT 509 system, on account that it is the only known system consisting of a gas giant with 8 moons.

One of the early themes that i used to hear from the different forums and youtube comment sections is that the game had no story and was all just grind grind grind, yet when i looked into it i found loads of story. Rafe States clearly that raxxla is a planet in the dark wheel novella I think. - my theory is that raxxla is a planet, but that we will find the mirrors first which will lead us to the planet. Sort of like finding Voyager early on, you have to know where to look to find it. I would imagine that the mirrors with aline to it however
'Raxxla's no alien, Alex, It's a ghost world. A planet. A legend. ...' (Rafe Zetter - The Dark Wheel, Chapter Two) Yeah, in TDW novella it is stated that it's a planet, yet that could have been red-conned. Most people don't even look for a planet any more. Maybe it's on a planet or it's in the debris of a former planet. Truth is nobody knows at this point.
The dark wheel are searching for Raxxla. If we hold that to be true, then the toast cannot be directions to it. The burning jewel is likely Earth; an irradiated and burning world - especially back when the toast was written or simply Raxxla itself. Either way it doesnt really matter as it doesnt give any real clues. The brow of the mother of galaxies like refers to sols/raxxlas position if you were to view the galaxy as a person of sorts (like a constellation), or not even that. Again I dont feel this matters too much. This is unclear. But the mother of galaxies I believe is the Milky Way. Our mother galaxy; especially when you take into account the old lore of the game where due to disc space limitations that other areas were called galaxies. Who really knows eh? The whisperper in witch space, the whisper sounds when in jump space, that IS the siren. The siren that lures people to explore and continue outwards searching. I do not believe the toast of the dark wheel in any way points to its direction. It's a red herring. The clues to Raxxla are in the rest of the text. Its something that pretty much every Raxxlan explorer focuses on. I believe that to be a mistake.
9:44 correction, Andromeda is not the nearest Galaxy, Canis Major is the closest at 25,000 light years and Sagittarius is the second closest 70,000. Most people forget there are smaller Galaxies orbiting the Milky Way.
Well that's the old "is Pluto a planet or is it a dwarf planet" argument. Fair enough though, the closest non minor galaxy to us. Thanks for the watch.
Whispers in Witch Space Forsooth! I watched this a day or so ago and, after doing some LTD mining, I hitched a ride on a Fleet Carrier, sold my load for more money than seems really reasonable, then decided to call it a day and plot a route back to my home terminal. 10 jumps for my haphazardly engineered mining python seemed doable. So. Line up, spool up, listen to the fantastic sound design, pop into the witch space corridor aaaaaaaannd... I am greeted with a totally silent corridor EXCEPT FOR THE WHISPERS. Initially, I think; "Oh, a bug, that's funny." Then it starts to be a bit creepy as the target star gets larger at what I am beginning to feel like is not fast enough. *POW!* Back to super cruise with a star in my face, familiar territory. I fuel scoop for maybe longer than was strictly necessary, then line up the next jump. Surely, this is a one-off, right? And really, this is a bug and not something deeper. Whatever. Jump: same thing. The next jump: same thing. Six jumps into the route and I am cuddled up against a nice warm star, absolutely dreading the next jump. The rational bit of my brain is saying; "Look , it's 3:30AM, you have to work in a few hours, logging off to fix this will take more time, it's only 4 jumps, just do it." But it's really weird and creepy, so I log off just 4 jumps from my goal and get some much needed sleep. Fast forward less hours than is probably good for me and I'm back in, looking toward the next jump in the route, with just a bit of residual dread. Line up. Spool up aaaaaaaand..... Nothing. It's just the same; some nice sound and visual design to pass the time as the next star system loads. Utterly mundane and the same as any other routine jump. I am left feeling both relieved and a little disappointed. Look, I get that this is just a bug related to to the Fleet Carrier roll out, my over consumption of fatigue poisons and maybe a little chemical interference, but it really effected me, in no small part because of this video. It also tells us something: namely, the Whispers in Witch Space are important enough that they are separate assets from the normal whoosh and zoom of the Witch Space corridor. They are important, if only to the atmosphere.
Excellent story. Well the fact that there is written ingame lore that is duscussing voices in witchspace is a teller that there is some relevance to the sounds pilots hear in there. It's funny, people make fun at people who mention this yet there is literally stories at the formedine rift sites that discuss it. Thanks for the watch man
I do believe the Thargoids we see I'm the game today are Oresrian. Maybe not so much the scouts. The reason I believe this is because there used to be an "imprint" meter. To gauge your friendliness, or impression with the Thargoid. This disappeared, but I believe the concept to be intact. Part of the BGS. My belief in this is because I've been scanned by a Thargoid, and it found a probe in my inventory. When I hopped into the next signal I was immediately fired upon by another interceptor. I was Wanted, my belief being. This has happened a coupe times. Initially, however, they do not attack on sight. I say we should feed them alloys and see what happens over time. I'd be interested to know. Nobody's seems to be doing this...as far as I know. Not at length anyway. They seem to use meta alloys to feed them, but only to attack them. Assuming the Thargoids have a similar rep meter to the humans? It could take time by way of meta alloys...our only (seemingly) way to offer a kind offer...other than fuel transfer limpets and repair limpets. Try refueling and repaint them...and feeding them meta alloys, I say!
From what I can gather they pull you out on the system you jumped away from. The witchspace loading screen doesn't really load the next system up as it is aware you are about it get hyperdicted.
@@MATTIUS I gotta figure out if you get stranded in between the two systems or the first one so maybe if you do end up in between and there happens to be a system then maybe you'll get stranded close to that middle system.
I just found your videos and I love the effort you put in its really fun to watch and listen while jumping through the void. I'm new to the theories and all that but I was always wondering about the permit locked systems. There's a pocket of locked systems about 100ly across out in the izanami sector and it really annoyed the crap out of me funny to think it was locked for a in game reason

I haven't seen anyone mention a few of the things he brings up, especially the magazine from Finland. If someone has the Amiga version of Elite, they should also try to trigger the mission from Lave he describes. There may be some bit of lore or dialogue that is a major clue.
Yeah ive seen the posts from him. It seems that as he's said he is suffering from cancer. Its a bit of a touchy subject so i wont go into that. His posts are facinatinf though. I need to load up an emulator and try his claim.
There are multiple thargoid symbols that seem to be some sort of faction symbol, but no one knows for sure. I wish more people would do Elite lore videos that includes info from past games. Even if the facts of those games aren’t applicable to ED, the ideas absolutely are.
Yeah looking at previous games and even other franchises are important because if you know what influenced the writers of the story you may get an idea of the direction of the story.
Didn't one of the devs state in an interview that a few players have passed through the system that Raxxla is located? Of course, that still doesn't give us much of a clue as to what exactly we're looking for.
I wonder how many of the commanders looking for these mysteries are triple or tetra elite. I wouldn't rule anything out until a quad elite pilot has investigated the system/location in question.
MATTIUS if you ready many of the elite dangerous books ( paid for and approved by FDev) and lore, you will note that any commander of note, is almost always striving for an elite rank. It is frequently discussed as a major plot point. Almost always elite in combat. Also, this nicely fits with what FDEv have said about finding raxxla being a journey every commander must take. Why would FDev allow a brand new commander with billions of credits from game exploits to buy a carrier and find their golden egg? If you listen to what Braben has said about secret organizations and the like, it makes sense.
@@shadowofraxxla8522 None of the books address raxxla nor where they allowed to nor where the book's paid for by frontier. as a writer you had to pay them 4 grand for the writers kickstarter package. i just think that it is an unnecessary grind badge, it makes more sense to me it being behind some kind of a riddle or puzzle to work out. Remember the first people who apparently found raxxla (those pirates) had no elite status. "Pledge £4,500 or more The writer’s pack: The right to write one piece of written fiction set in the Elite: Dangerous world, and (subject to reasonable approval of the content) release it commercially, without paying Frontier further royalties, independently of the game. This category includes all the rewards above. Frontier will cooperate to allow the system name, commander name, planet name, planet description, space station names to be positioned and used in a way to support the fiction within the game. Frontier will also help publicise your title at the time of release of “Elite: Dangerous”, as long as it is finished at that point, alongside the official sequel to “The Dark Wheel”."
MATTIUS that’s all coincidental though. Just because they don’t discuss raxxla doesn’t mean the books don’t communicate the spirit of ED. We already see FDev is picky about content and won’t let authors write about just anything they want. As for paying, that is a business decision. There are so many people obsessed and musing over raxxla and that is all fine and good, But if you really ready the lore, watch brabens early interviews, some type of rank progress could be key. I can’t find the reference now but at one point he discussed getting in game invites from secret organizations. At any rate all any of us are doing now is musing about something we have yet to find. Don’t get me wrong. I had my day search but turned to combat because I feel mastery over different aspects of the game is part of the player journey FDev has talked about.

Again, I’ve taken a break because I’m tired of looking and I don’t have combat or Cqc elite. If those things are a factor, I don’t won’t to waste anymore time looking. Combat is more fun anyway.

Following the path of the Thargoids backwards is a good idea. Unfortunately I think we have to wait for permit access to advance this any more. Would be pretty funny tho if the whole mystery and solution was there from day 1. "The vain queen rides a giraffe that remembers her daughter's hero."
That's the point. I personally lean in the direction that raxxla is behind a permit lock. But i do not know this to be the case, i simply believe it so. I could be wrong.
Addon - Putting raxxla or the location of some sort of big mystery in permit locked that are well known permit locked would seem counter productive for hiding anything. I couldn't imagine raxxla or whatever is just sitting on a pedestal in the center of the permit locks. More like a distraction for where they really are more likely.
"Interstellar B17." If this was referring to the bombing scene in Star wars ep 8; that scene does make some sense and I don't understand why no one gets it. The ship has built in gravity, that probably pulled the bombs down, plus I'm sure the size, and gravity of the destroyer was also pulling on them.
It wasn't quite accurate im afraid. Magnetics may of been the culprit but the bombs would of stuck to the shields. The gravity of the star destroyer isn't big enough to pull an object like that. It was an obvious homage to ww2 bombing runs like the the ships flying around like they are in an atmosphere. Thanks for the watch

Do we know if anyone has attempted to record witchspace sounds and then played them backwards? Thinking doom 2 in early 90s used this trick on the final level telling you what to do. Could instructions on getting to raxxla be whispered backwards?

@@leftythekid9949 There is a few different interpretations of the constellation of Cassiopeia. The way i did it was look at the most classical drawings of her and approximated here brow as being the closest to sigma. I could be wrong though, just a personal belief.

Just a little advice that you can freely disregard as I'm just some nobody on the internet: your intro is far too long and the same every time. The first time I heard it i thought 'well this is a bit long but pretty clever." Then I heard it again. and again. and.. well you get it. It's exactly one minute long so presumably you reuse it to save time, which is fine, but man an intro longer then ten or twenty seconds is already pushing it, especially when its the same thing you've already seen and heard before. It's like 9% of the total video length. Anyway, I enjoy your stuff, so regardless I'll keep coming back but I think you would be better served by either cropping it WAY down or doing something different in the beginning.
After everything I have read and found, in game, books, and from Fdev, my money is on a very, very predictable, disappointing, and generally shit answer. In a few years, after the last update/patch/whatever, when Fdev are done (maybe even after the NEXT game if they make a second ED), there will be an AMA, and somebody will ask something like, "Now that its over, and nobody ever found it, could you PLEASE tell your fan base what Raxxla was? Please?" The lead writer/dev/some asshat will take the mic, smirk as if he is about to drop some great and sacred wisdom on the masses, and say, "Raxxla is just the friends you made along the way." or, "It is a Guardian term for the feeling of being alone in a universe full of other thinking minds", or some other similar, 'it was never what you thought hahahaha we are so smrt' answer like that. I don't WANT to expect that, I want to think that somewhere in these 4B randomly generation systems full of rocky icy bodies, there is a golden city of wonder and answers, or at least ONE fucking answer... but I have read and written enough pulp scifi to smell a fake-meaningful cop-out coming, and guys... Raxxla isn't in the game, or if it is, we need to start thinking about what things we have already all found that a self important writer could call raxxla to feel smart.
I dont think that Raxxla is visible to the players at the moment. I think that at some point it was but there was a decision to hide it or make it un-accessible because of peoples curiosity of it and as to the disappointment as having it merely as a stellar body would bring. I think they do have plans for it, they would be stupid not to do anything with it, it would sell a lot of DLC with Raxxla as the poster child for said future paid content. Now that they are implementing the considerable work they have done into Elite dangerous with FPS Elements adding 10000% more depth to these types of mysterious encounters, id imagine they will look at Raxxla after the update drops. You gotta remember that making a first person game from scratch takes considerable effort, most studios just buy an engine such as Unreal, as far as im aware their FPS engine has been made from scratch. I understand your reasons for being cynical and dont get me wrong i think a lot of players would give up permanently on Frontier if they do what you suggest they are going to do. I guess my point is i dont think it makes sense for them not to work on Raxxla once they have those FPS elements in the game and solidly working. Raxxla is one of the few reasons a lot of gamers have consistently reinstalled Elite
Tou can do it in many ways. Google "turning the wheel elite dangerous" look for kaizens group and join that on discord. Ey can give you further instructions. Alternatively just get an asp or Krait phantom, D rate every except the fsd, engineer it if you can and get out there and start exploring. Start with the sites on my videos and remember google is your friend.
elite dangerous has the laziest game lore of any game i have ever encountered. its sad because the game looks pretty decent, if grindy, but the sheer lack of fucks they seem to give about fleshing out any of the game lore is pathetic. everyfuckingthing in this fictional universe is "mysterious" because they just dont want to pay someone the money to write the lore i guess.....either way it goes, this is fucking sad

Fdev already made a statement saying a cmdr jumped into the system, honked, and jumped out.

I tried on other stations but couldn't hear it.

Rafe States clearly that raxxla is a planet in the dark wheel novella I think. - my theory is that raxxla is a planet, but that we will find the mirrors first which will lead us to the planet. Sort of like finding Voyager early on, you have to know where to look to find it. I would imagine that the mirrors with aline to it however

Yeah, in TDW novella it is stated that it's a planet, yet that could have been red-conned. Most people don't even look for a planet any more. Maybe it's on a planet or it's in the debris of a former planet. Truth is nobody knows at this point.
The dark wheel are searching for Raxxla. If we hold that to be true, then the toast cannot be directions to it. The burning jewel is likely Earth; an irradiated and burning world - especially back when the toast was written or simply Raxxla itself. Either way it doesnt really matter as it doesnt give any real clues. The brow of the mother of galaxies like refers to sols/raxxlas position if you were to view the galaxy as a person of sorts (like a constellation), or not even that. Again I dont feel this matters too much. This is unclear. But the mother of galaxies I believe is the Milky Way. Our mother galaxy; especially when you take into account the old lore of the game where due to disc space limitations that other areas were called galaxies. Who really knows eh? The whisperper in witch space, the whisper sounds when in jump space, that IS the siren. The siren that lures people to explore and continue outwards searching.
I do not believe the toast of the dark wheel in any way points to its direction. It's a red herring. The clues to Raxxla are in the rest of the text. Its something that pretty much every Raxxlan explorer focuses on. I believe that to be a mistake.

9:44 correction, Andromeda is not the nearest Galaxy, Canis Major is the closest at 25,000 light years and Sagittarius is the second closest 70,000. Most people forget there are smaller Galaxies orbiting the Milky Way.
Well that's the old "is Pluto a planet or is it a dwarf planet" argument. Fair enough though, the closest non minor galaxy to us. Thanks for the watch.
Whispers in Witch Space Forsooth!
I watched this a day or so ago and, after doing some LTD mining, I hitched a ride on a Fleet Carrier, sold my load for more money than seems really reasonable, then decided to call it a day and plot a route back to my home terminal. 10 jumps for my haphazardly engineered mining python seemed doable.
So.
Line up, spool up, listen to the fantastic sound design, pop into the witch space corridor aaaaaaaannd...
I am greeted with a totally silent corridor EXCEPT FOR THE WHISPERS.
Initially, I think; "Oh, a bug, that's funny."
Then it starts to be a bit creepy as the target star gets larger at what I am beginning to feel like is not fast enough.
*POW!* Back to super cruise with a star in my face, familiar territory. I fuel scoop for maybe longer than was strictly necessary, then line up the next jump. Surely, this is a one-off, right? And really, this is a bug and not something deeper.
Whatever.
Jump: same thing.
The next jump: same thing.
Six jumps into the route and I am cuddled up against a nice warm star, absolutely dreading the next jump. The rational bit of my brain is saying; "Look , it's 3:30AM, you have to work in a few hours, logging off to fix this will take more time, it's only 4 jumps, just do it."
But it's really weird and creepy, so I log off just 4 jumps from my goal and get some much needed sleep.
Fast forward less hours than is probably good for me and I'm back in, looking toward the next jump in the route, with just a bit of residual dread.
Line up. Spool up aaaaaaaand.....
Nothing.
It's just the same; some nice sound and visual design to pass the time as the next star system loads. Utterly mundane and the same as any other routine jump. I am left feeling both relieved and a little disappointed.
Look, I get that this is just a bug related to to the Fleet Carrier roll out, my over consumption of fatigue poisons and maybe a little chemical interference, but it really effected me, in no small part because of this video. It also tells us something: namely, the Whispers in Witch Space are important enough that they are separate assets from the normal whoosh and zoom of the Witch Space corridor.
They are important, if only to the atmosphere.
Excellent story. Well the fact that there is written ingame lore that is duscussing voices in witchspace is a teller that there is some relevance to the sounds pilots hear in there. It's funny, people make fun at people who mention this yet there is literally stories at the formedine rift sites that discuss it. Thanks for the watch man

I do believe the Thargoids we see I'm the game today are Oresrian. Maybe not so much the scouts. The reason I believe this is because there used to be an "imprint" meter. To gauge your friendliness, or impression with the Thargoid. This disappeared, but I believe the concept to be intact. Part of the BGS. My belief in this is because I've been scanned by a Thargoid, and it found a probe in my inventory. When I hopped into the next signal I was immediately fired upon by another interceptor. I was Wanted, my belief being. This has happened a coupe times. Initially, however, they do not attack on sight. I say we should feed them alloys and see what happens over time. I'd be interested to know. Nobody's seems to be doing this...as far as I know. Not at length anyway. They seem to use meta alloys to feed them, but only to attack them. Assuming the Thargoids have a similar rep meter to the humans? It could take time by way of meta alloys...our only (seemingly) way to offer a kind offer...other than fuel transfer limpets and repair limpets. Try refueling and repaint them...and feeding them meta alloys, I say!
when you get interdicted by them, do they stop you mid way in between the systems or at the system you were taking off from?
From what I can gather they pull you out on the system you jumped away from. The witchspace loading screen doesn't really load the next system up as it is aware you are about it get hyperdicted.
@@MATTIUS I gotta figure out if you get stranded in between the two systems or the first one so maybe if you do end up in between and there happens to be a system then maybe you'll get stranded close to that middle system.
Could Raaxla be the guardian homeworld redesigned and changed the AI that wiped them out?
Brilliant idea. Love it! Answer is i think it could be plausible that they incorporate the Guardians into the Raxxla legend.

I just found your videos and I love the effort you put in its really fun to watch and listen while jumping through the void. I'm new to the theories and all that but I was always wondering about the permit locked systems. There's a pocket of locked systems about 100ly across out in the izanami sector and it really annoyed the crap out of me funny to think it was locked for a in game reason

This guy has made some posts recently on the search for Raxxla thread, you can search his posts from that link. I haven't seen anyone mention a few of the things he brings up, especially the magazine from Finland. If someone has the Amiga version of Elite, they should also try to trigger the mission from Lave he describes. There may be some bit of lore or dialogue that is a major clue.
Yeah ive seen the posts from him. It seems that as he's said he is suffering from cancer. Its a bit of a touchy subject so i wont go into that. His posts are facinatinf though. I need to load up an emulator and try his claim.
as far as I know the dev's have not put in raxxla yet and I have viewed lots of vids on the subject, I think raxxla is a sort of gateway !!.
There are multiple thargoid symbols that seem to be some sort of faction symbol, but no one knows for sure. I wish more people would do Elite lore videos that includes info from past games. Even if the facts of those games aren’t applicable to ED, the ideas absolutely are.
Yeah looking at previous games and even other franchises are important because if you know what influenced the writers of the story you may get an idea of the direction of the story.

I wonder how many of the commanders looking for these mysteries are triple or tetra elite. I wouldn't rule anything out until a quad elite pilot has investigated the system/location in question.
I personally dont think you have to be triple elite, it doesnt make sense from a storytelling point of view.
MATTIUS if you ready many of the elite dangerous books ( paid for and approved by FDev) and lore, you will note that any commander of note, is almost always striving for an elite rank. It is frequently discussed as a major plot point. Almost always elite in combat. Also, this nicely fits with what FDEv have said about finding raxxla being a journey every commander must take. Why would FDev allow a brand new commander with billions of credits from game exploits to buy a carrier and find their golden egg? If you listen to what Braben has said about secret organizations and the like, it makes sense.
@@shadowofraxxla8522 None of the books address raxxla nor where they allowed to nor where the book's paid for by frontier. as a writer you had to pay them 4 grand for the writers kickstarter package. i just think that it is an unnecessary grind badge, it makes more sense to me it being behind
some kind of a riddle or puzzle to work out. Remember the first people who apparently found raxxla (those pirates) had no elite status.

MATTIUS that’s all coincidental though. Just because they don’t discuss raxxla doesn’t mean the books don’t communicate the spirit of ED. We already see FDev is picky about content and won’t let authors write about just anything they want. As for paying, that is a business decision. There are so many people obsessed and musing over raxxla and that is all fine and good, But if you really ready the lore, watch brabens early interviews, some type of rank progress could be key. I can’t find the reference now but at one point he discussed getting in game invites from secret organizations. At any rate all any of us are doing now is musing about something we have yet to find. Don’t get me wrong. I had my day search but turned to combat because I feel mastery over different aspects of the game is part of the player journey FDev has talked about.

Again, I’ve taken a break because I’m tired of looking and I don’t have combat or Cqc elite. If those things are a factor, I don’t won’t to waste anymore time looking. Combat is more fun anyway.
I think you make some great points- maybe RAXXLA is the name of an old AI that escaped before the ban on AI and built a kind of dyson sphere out there in the permit locked regions?
Well I just find that there ankre many references to alien races that discount the chances of it being thargoids. At the moment people don't know what or where raxxla is so 99% of people conversations on the subject is speculation. Thanks for dropping by spatula. Hope things are good for you.

Unfortunately I think we have to wait for permit access to advance this any more. Would be pretty funny tho if the whole mystery and solution was there from day 1.

That's the point. I personally lean in the direction that raxxla is behind a permit lock. But i do not know this to be the case, i simply believe it so. I could be wrong.

Addon - Putting raxxla or the location of some sort of big mystery in permit locked that are well known permit locked would seem counter productive for hiding anything. I couldn't imagine raxxla or whatever is just sitting on a pedestal in the center of the permit locks. More like a distraction for where they really are more likely.

If this was referring to the bombing scene in Star wars ep 8; that scene does make some sense and I don't understand why no one gets it.
The ship has built in gravity, that probably pulled the bombs down, plus I'm sure the size, and gravity of the destroyer was also pulling on them.
It wasn't quite accurate im afraid. Magnetics may of been the culprit but the bombs would of stuck to the shields. The gravity of the star destroyer isn't big enough to pull an object like that. It was an obvious homage to ww2 bombing runs like the the ships flying around like they are in an atmosphere. Thanks for the watch

Sometimes yes. They mainly are left-over bits that didn't combine to form planets in the early days of a solar system.

Do we know if anyone has attempted to record witchspace sounds and then played them backwards? Thinking doom 2 in early 90s used this trick on the final level telling you what to do. Could instructions on getting to raxxla be whispered backwards?

@@leftythekid9949 There is a few different interpretations of the constellation of Cassiopeia. The way i did it was look at the most classical drawings of her and approximated here brow as being the closest to sigma. I could be wrong though, just a personal belief.

Just a little advice that you can freely disregard as I'm just some nobody on the internet: your intro is far too long and the same every time. The first time I heard it i thought 'well this is a bit long but pretty clever." Then I heard it again. and again. and.. well you get it. It's exactly one minute long so presumably you reuse it to save time, which is fine, but man an intro longer then ten or twenty seconds is already pushing it, especially when its the same thing you've already seen and heard before. It's like 9% of the total video length. Anyway, I enjoy your stuff, so regardless I'll keep coming back but I think you would be better served by either cropping it WAY down or doing something different in the beginning.

After everything I have read and found, in game, books, and from Fdev, my money is on a very, very predictable, disappointing, and generally shit answer.
In a few years, after the last update/patch/whatever, when Fdev are done (maybe even after the NEXT game if they make a second ED), there will be an AMA, and somebody will ask something like, "Now that its over, and nobody ever found it, could you PLEASE tell your fan base what Raxxla was? Please?"
The lead writer/dev/some asshat will take the mic, smirk as if he is about to drop some great and sacred wisdom on the masses, and say, "Raxxla is just the friends you made along the way." or, "It is a Guardian term for the feeling of being alone in a universe full of other thinking minds", or some other similar, 'it was never what you thought hahahaha we are so smrt' answer like that.
I don't WANT to expect that, I want to think that somewhere in these 4B randomly generation systems full of rocky icy bodies, there is a golden city of wonder and answers, or at least ONE fucking answer... but I have read and written enough pulp scifi to smell a fake-meaningful cop-out coming, and guys...
Raxxla isn't in the game, or if it is, we need to start thinking about what things we have already all found that a self important writer could call raxxla to feel smart.
I dont think that Raxxla is visible to the players at the moment. I think that at some point it was but there was a decision to hide it or make it un-accessible because of peoples curiosity of it and as to the disappointment as having it merely as a stellar body would bring. I think they do have plans for it, they would be stupid not to do anything with it, it would sell a lot of DLC with Raxxla as the poster child for said future paid content. Now that they are implementing the considerable work they have done into Elite dangerous with FPS Elements adding 10000% more depth to these types of mysterious encounters, id imagine they will look at Raxxla after the update drops. You gotta remember that making a first person game from scratch takes considerable effort, most studios just buy an engine such as Unreal, as far as im aware their FPS engine has been made from scratch. I understand your reasons for being cynical and dont get me wrong i think a lot of players would give up permanently on Frontier if they do what you suggest they are going to do. I guess my point is i dont think it makes sense for them not to work on Raxxla once they have those FPS elements in the game and solidly working. Raxxla is one of the few reasons a lot of gamers have consistently reinstalled Elite

Tou can do it in many ways. Google "turning the wheel elite dangerous" look for kaizens group and join that on discord. Ey can give you further instructions. Alternatively just get an asp or Krait phantom, D rate every except the fsd, engineer it if you can and get out there and start exploring. Start with the sites on my videos and remember google is your friend.

elite dangerous has the laziest game lore of any game i have ever encountered. its sad because the game looks pretty decent, if grindy, but the sheer lack of fucks they seem to give about fleshing out any of the game lore is pathetic. everyfuckingthing in this fictional universe is "mysterious" because they just dont want to pay someone the money to write the lore i guess.....either way it goes, this is fucking sad
