According to the light novel “Spirits are Forever with You”, which Kubo illustrated and read/gave his ok and praise, Aizen still has the hogyoku. Also in the anime I believe yhwach confirms this when he says something along the lines of “killing him would take too long because of the hogyoku”.
It's stated even without the Hogyoku he is immortal now, so even if he lost the Hogyoku (which should be the case as it didn't recognize him as master anymore) he still kept the abilities it bestowed upon him because they weren't tied to the Hogyoku. Though his powers were still growing while in Muken so he probably still has it.

Here’s to hoping the anime heavily expands that fight with Aizen and Ywach. He was heavily underutilized in the war. The guy should have fought some of the elite sternritter to flex his power. Btw renji was never in that final battle with ywach. Remember it was part of the illusion. Aizen never saw renji’s new Bankai and the “renji” that lost his arm is the same “ichigo” that also lost his arm
Aizen wasn't the only one underutilized. A lot of them were. Like what the hell did their dads look cool for at the end of one chapter when all they did (last thing they did) was just deliver a bow tip at the end last page of the next chapter. Kind of a shit setup.

Each with there own unique abilities that could defeat say the mc and end the series instead of the mc regardless of the circumstances overcoming adversary.. personally what i like most about bleach is that there is no definitive strongest there will always exist someone who can beat someone else and that someone losing to someome who was defeated by the someone they defeated, instead of the typical i beat him so i must beat the person who they beat.. to many fictions have absolutes in regards to combatants, which is why marvel and dc became so huge since anyone can defeat anyone, it is hard to make stale ( which sadly they are somehow succeeding at doing ).
Kind of funny that because Yhwach can see possibilities and in one of those he saw the release of Kyoka Suigetsu, thus fulfilling complete Hypnosis's conditions
It would honestly be quite interesting, if part of the reason Aizen was able to for see so many things correctly is that on top of him just being really smart. His Bankai is not combat related but is the opposite of his Shikai. So instead of casting illusions on others, his Bankai casts aside all illusions in reality and allows him to reach a state of enlightenment. The specifics of how this works would probably require some sort of conditions so that it isn't just a rip off Ywatch ability seeing the future, but perhaps it could be to see and understand everything related to a specific thing innately and that it would require conditions to use that scale with how powerful it is kind of like Shunsui's Bankai. This would explain why he was so good at Kido while being a Lieutenant and also how he was able to so consistently manipulate so many characters over a hundred year time span. Perhaps the conditions for this could be related to either spiritual pressure or for him to have to be already more enlightened than the opponent he wants to use it against, so for example, Urahara would be ahead of him, so Aizen cannot use his Bankai to understand or see through Urahara nor Ywatch, same for Dangai Ichigo. Additionally, he may not enlightened already which would be a good way of balancing him since he is so smart he could end up blocking off his own Bankai by logically deducing things. And perhaps he can only be enlightened on a limited number of things at a time, so for him to remain enlightened on his plan for everything during a majority of the story leading up to when he gains the Hōgyoku, his bankai cannot be used on the condition it has already been used for 1 state of enlightenment. Maybe there are 3 steps of enlightenment, Mind & Body, like Yin & Yang and then a 3rd step that can only be used under very specific circumstances that would allow him 100% info and understanding of an opponent but to create the Hōgyoku(Enlightenment of Body), he had to sacrifice 1 of these states of enlightenment to achieve it because then that state would be active permanently, existing as the Hōgyoku. Because of this he can only ever achieve 1 state of enlightenment after(before merging), this could also be official reason he was able to merge with it, as that would allow him to permanently achieve the final state of the Bankai but Ichigo was beyond him and thus did not satisfy the condition to use it against him. This would also make sense as to how Aizen intended on taking on a being that literally existed as God, the creator of everything. As he would need this third, broken tier of Bankai to challenge him, say if Dangai Ichigo pushed him up several more evolutions and then had his power absorbed by Aizen. Think of it kind of like the Six Eyes that Gojo has in JJK, except much more limited and with conditions.
Just a prediction but the reason why Aizen was so calculative in soul society was all due to old man Yamamoto's Bankai. After seeing what that thing could do in the final arc, I understand why he moved with such caution regardless of his power. I still think there were a lot of writing inconsistencies with the final arc and too many broken Quency powers. But still, I love the anime so don't @ me please.

When I think of Aizen's bankai only one thing comes to mind and that's reality manipulation/control,(at the very least). Bankais are generally just more powerful version of the shikai, so if Kyoukasuigetsu has the power of hypnosis over all 5 senses to create illusions then the next step would be those illusions becoming reality itself. I can see why Kubo has never and will never reveal his bankai, it's just too op.
The hell arc will presumably be the final arc. That’s the best place to possibly show it. It makes no sense to still keep it hidden with the new threats they’ll be facing. You’re gonna need it against an undead yamamoto who’s been heavily amped

I think the one responsible for breaking Aizen's seal is Soya Azashiro because if he can break it by himself aizen can not being sealed anymore, he can wait in front of the muken door, killing those who enter and then leave with ease, Aizen is not only fused with his Zanpakutō but also with his Hogyoku.

Aizen in the story is a conflicted person. Due to Ichigo stating he felt loneliness and ichigo felt bad. So Bleach's power system is very different and unlike other's. So unlike many shonen, ichigo is the perfect example. Ichigo was strong as a human, he knew who he was, then rukia comes and then ichigo "Has to" Stay a soul reaper. Then he fights grand Fisher and his father tells him " if masaki saw you hurting, I couldnt face her knowing I failed". Then kisuke comes in,then his fight with kenpachi, he get dragged into his inner world to fight White, and gives the the " just because you know a name doesn't make him a friend. Then shinji comes to okay, and how dies he get his hollow down, he fights and talks with White who helps him understand with the king and the horse. Later in dangai he battles tensa zangetsu for 3 months and to understand the "The final it was to let zangetsu fusion with you. So anyway Aizen is strong but not emotionally. Which is why he stayed in the mukën self reflect and as states by kisuke Aizen got stronger. So it's not time due that his shikai already

I always wondered about that. Since his Kyoka Suigetsu manipulates the 5 senses, what senses would one need to specifically target to affect someone’s perception of time? I feel like your perception of time is something separate from your 5 senses, unless he can manipulate more than just the 5 senses but I don’t remember him stating that he could.

Byakuya said it himself during the Rukia execution arch that “all” captains were able to release their bankai except for Zaraki Kenpachi, therefore, Aizen had the ability to release his it just was never shown through the narrative of the main story
He didn't body EVERY captain. He created a scenario where he didn't have to fight the strongest captains aside from the head captain and for some reason Unohana did f*ck all too despite being there when Aizen was picking the other captains apart. If she fought, that battle would have turned out a lot different. Time stop as his bankai ability also makes no sense because his shikai is complete hypnosis, a bankai's abilities are supposed to significantly enhance the abilities of the shikai...not change all together.
What if Aizen could reverse his own perceptions of time thereby sending him back to the point he is currently perceiving? That would explain why Aizen knows everything about anything as he’s already seen it before. That would fundamentally make him unbeatable as he need not plan for all eventualities but rather the actions his opponents are going to do at any given moment with the optimal counter. Also due to his ability being perception based I think his only shows him the one true timeline that is always destined to happen rather then the infinite manifold possibilities that may or may not happen

Aizen could have easily made it seem like he mastered bankai. He controls all of the 5 senses, which gives him the capability to not let his opponent see or hear his shikai command. But then again Aizen is a genius he probably understands the benefits of learning bankai, so he eventually had one.

All of those are dictated by the 5 senses. Perception of space and time is directly reliant on the 5 senses, spiritual pressure is explained to be tied to the sense of sight. External reikaku is at least. You can even trick someone into experiencing pain and fear through the 5 senses. By taking control of you 5 senses, Aizen quite literally takes over your sense of reality.

Shatter is what breaks the illusion, Aizen doesn't actually have a Bankai. As he never considered he needed one. He doesn't care about his sword. He used his shikai to make others think he has an ice type bankai so he could become captain.
He mentioned he subjugated It’s absorbed into his body physically. Yes. But he didn’t absorb it. He just took it under his control. If you remember he said the hyogoku had a will of it’s own. And he was able to put it under his control. To use. Because he is so strong.
The silver arrow hitting Juha would've made more sense if aizen manipulated him at that moment. I hope we get an explanation to that or extra scenes. I think Aizen having an impact on juha where it gave uryu an opening would've made it more understandable.

My theory; Aizen activated his bankai prior to becoming a Captain and the Aizen we see now is just the spirit of his sword taking his place… as he watches from his own “realm” he developed. The next arc is definitely going to be The Rain of Aizen
I can only imagine that Aizen's bankai would be very chaotic and uncontrolled. I imagine it would alter, distort, and destroy reality in ways that are quite probably deadly to Aizen as well.
Few things to point out 1. Aizen still has hogyoku inside him , Just It does not grant wishes anymore only immortality and reaitsu 2. Aizen is no longer in Prison after 10 year skip One shot of Hell Verse it was revealed that he had DIsapeared.
No hes still in muken its just that because hes inmuken his reiatsu cannot be felt in soul society, its as if his reistu isnt in soul society anymore, that plus yamas reiatsu actually dissappearing from soul society because its in hell is was caused the balance to be thrown off allowing people to escape hell.
I have my own theory I don't think he has one purely because he doesn't need one his shikai suits his needs. With how manipulatives he is he could easily subjugate his zanpakuto spirit. And the test approved he has a bankai not like he even has to try it with that he could just put everybody under his perfect hypnosis and make them believe he has one
I have only just realised that aizen in his crysalis stage looks like an azuchi(the zanpaktou things) kinda mirrioring them until it meshes with his soul , like the azuchi do with ichigo, renji etc
Shinji and the other vizards weren’t exiled. They were meant to be killed but Yurichi took them to the land of the living with Kisuke when they escaped. This is explained in both the anime and manga.

The reason Aizen didn't use or unlock his Bankai because Ichibe would have been able to know the name and use of his Zanpakto and stop him. Aizen simply didn't unlock Bankai even if the Zanpakto spirit is under his control.
Yhwachs perception of time being altered might just be aizen going in and altering how he sees certain situations. For example he could make yhwach see a far shorter conversation than there actually was. That, or he got an amp when he combined with his zanpakuto and is now able to alter more specific things. And aizen never used his bankai because he didn’t really need to. In bleach, there are six stages to a zanpakuto: asauchi, base, shikai, bankai, transcendent, and final transcendent. He never needed to go bankai as he was already transcendent. It would be more of a downgrade than anything.

Yes, the Hogyoku is fused with him permanently. The Hogyoku also made his zanpakuto evolve past a bankai and fuse with his body.

Wait, i thought Aizen's bankai is to summon Momo the immortal to get wrecked in his place.
I think the one responsible for breaking Aizen's seal is Soya Azashiro because if he can break it by himself aizen can not being sealed anymore, he can wait in front of the muken door, killing those who enter and then leave with ease, Aizen is not only fused with his Zanpakutō but also with his Hogyoku.

Like it'd be such a huge fanservice but also one of the most definitive moments of bleach if that ever happens. Although the mysteriousness and nature of him not using a bankai or having one makes his character stand out that much more.
I have a feeling that with Aizen being so meticulous about everything, revealing how his Shikai works is something Aizen would never do. I think his shikai is also not what he claims.

Aizen in the story is a conflicted person. Due to Ichigo stating he felt loneliness and ichigo felt bad.
So Bleach's power system is very different and unlike other's. So unlike many shonen, ichigo is the perfect example. Ichigo was strong as a human, he knew who he was, then rukia comes and then ichigo "Has to"
Stay a soul reaper. Then he fights grand Fisher and his father tells him " if masaki saw you hurting, I couldnt face her knowing I failed".
Then kisuke comes in,then his fight with kenpachi, he get dragged into his inner world to fight White, and gives the the " just because you know a name doesn't make him a friend.

Nah. Did he really mess with Yhwach's perception of time? I think he just made the whole elevator ride, walk, and conversation, look shorter than it is. Yhwach could have been caught doing multiple blank stares but he actually thinks he just had a minute-long verbal exchange with Aizen.

I always wondered about that. Since his Kyoka Suigetsu manipulates the 5 senses, what senses would one need to specifically target to affect someone’s perception of time? I feel like your perception of time is something separate from your 5 senses, unless he can manipulate more than just the 5 senses but I don’t remember him stating that he could.

Aizen never used Bankai in Bleach. That MAY be shown in the new Hell arc coming.
He didn't body EVERY captain.
He created a scenario where he didn't have to fight the strongest captains aside from the head captain and for some reason Unohana did f*ck all too despite being there when Aizen was picking the other captains apart.
If she fought, that battle would have turned out a lot different.
Time stop as his bankai ability also makes no sense because his shikai is complete hypnosis, a bankai's abilities are supposed to significantly enhance the abilities of the shikai...not change all together.
Aizen is probably trying to see how strong he would get in the next 20000 years. That's why he willingly got himself sealed again.
What if Aizen could reverse his own perceptions of time thereby sending him back to the point he is currently perceiving? That would explain why Aizen knows everything about anything as he’s already seen it before. That would fundamentally make him unbeatable as he need not plan for all eventualities but rather the actions his opponents are going to do at any given moment with the optimal counter. Also due to his ability being perception based I think his only shows him the one true timeline that is always destined to happen rather then the infinite manifold possibilities that may or may not happen

Aizen could have easily made it seem like he mastered bankai. He controls all of the 5 senses, which gives him the capability to not let his opponent see or hear his shikai command. But then again Aizen is a genius he probably understands the benefits of learning bankai, so he eventually had one.
This is what happened, he didn't need a bankai because his shikai is so OP. He might not have one a bankai in the first place.

Aizens Bankai is probably something that’s is verily situational Aimee to shinjis and that way he never used it because his Shikai is more useful to him
His shikai is able to effect the five senses, his bankai must be able to alter all of his opponents perception. This includes time, pain, spiritual pressure, fear, confidence, you name it. This would be the only explanation of how Aizen could control Yahwha sense of time since it’s not a five sense. Nobody has heard or seen his bankai’s activation bc he probably uses his shikai to mask its release.
Aizen has never used his Bankai. No it is not shielded, he simply has never used it. He it is unknown if he actually has one. Also it his Bankai could be completely different than his Shikai.
Also he only tricked Yhwach's five senses. Think sensory deprivation tank. You lose track of time.
@@pyrolight7568 sense of time is how long you perceive event play out. Alterations of none of the five senses, nor sight or hearing, can effect it. Sense of time is also listed as a different sense then the other five senses of you look it up
All of those are dictated by the 5 senses. Perception of space and time is directly reliant on the 5 senses, spiritual pressure is explained to be tied to the sense of sight. External reikaku is at least. You can even trick someone into experiencing pain and fear through the 5 senses.
By taking control of you 5 senses, Aizen quite literally takes over your sense of reality.

Time’s passage is heavily affected by perception. He didn’t have to manipulate time, just Bach’s perception of its passage for him to be stalled.

Shatter is what breaks the illusion, Aizen doesn't actually have a Bankai. As he never considered he needed one. He doesn't care about his sword. He used his shikai to make others think he has an ice type bankai so he could become captain.

The silver arrow hitting Juha would've made more sense if aizen manipulated him at that moment. I hope we get an explanation to that or extra scenes. I think Aizen having an impact on juha where it gave uryu an opening would've made it more understandable.

My theory;
Aizen activated his bankai prior to becoming a Captain and the Aizen we see now is just the spirit of his sword taking his place… as he watches from his own “realm” he developed. The next arc is definitely going to be The Rain of Aizen
I can only imagine that Aizen's bankai would be very chaotic and uncontrolled.
I imagine it would alter, distort, and destroy reality in ways that are quite probably deadly to Aizen as well.

1. Aizen still has hogyoku inside him , Just It does not grant wishes anymore only immortality and reaitsu
2. Aizen is no longer in Prison after 10 year skip One shot of Hell Verse it was revealed that he had DIsapeared.
No hes still in muken its just that because hes inmuken his reiatsu cannot be felt in soul society, its as if his reistu isnt in soul society anymore, that plus yamas reiatsu actually dissappearing from soul society because its in hell is was caused the balance to be thrown off allowing people to escape hell.
Basically Aizen become like the Soul Kings both in power and mindset. He accept his fate and stay being sealed by shinigami..
I have my own theory I don't think he has one purely because he doesn't need one his shikai suits his needs. With how manipulatives he is he could easily subjugate his zanpakuto spirit. And the test approved he has a bankai not like he even has to try it with that he could just put everybody under his perfect hypnosis and make them believe he has one

I have only just realised that aizen in his crysalis stage looks like an azuchi(the zanpaktou things) kinda mirrioring them until it meshes with his soul , like the azuchi do with ichigo, renji etc
Shinji and the other vizards weren’t exiled. They were meant to be killed but Yurichi took them to the land of the living with Kisuke when they escaped. This is explained in both the anime and manga.

The reason Aizen didn't use or unlock his Bankai because Ichibe would have been able to know the name and use of his Zanpakto and stop him.
Aizen simply didn't unlock Bankai even if the Zanpakto spirit is under his control.

Yhwachs perception of time being altered might just be aizen going in and altering how he sees certain situations. For example he could make yhwach see a far shorter conversation than there actually was. That, or he got an amp when he combined with his zanpakuto and is now able to alter more specific things. And aizen never used his bankai because he didn’t really need to. In bleach, there are six stages to a zanpakuto: asauchi, base, shikai, bankai, transcendent, and final transcendent. He never needed to go bankai as he was already transcendent. It would be more of a downgrade than anything.
