Any business will have a markup. The dealer is typically going to try to charge 30-40% about market because otherwise how can they possible pay for their overhead, let alone make a profit?

whats up everybody watch out for Ebay they are charging tax on silver and gold and the shipping charges to. i have just caught this on a new auction i won about 5 days ago and i went back to see if they were charging me before and no just on the shipping charges and thats wrong to. i been calling Ebay for the last four days to get them to fix so i can pay for silver coins i have won but they want fix the problem. so i have reported them to the Texas comptroller to get them to fix and will try to let the stacking community know whats up. look at the invoice to see if they are charging tax before you pay. if so complain to ebay thanks

Buying these is stupid. They don't generate any income, it's a limited and shallow market which can't provide required liquidity and depth for large capitals used in debt markets like bonds, there won't be enough precious metal in the whole world to provide the liquidity and the quantity required by countries. Buying physical metal requires storage, protection and vulnerable for theft and require costly expertize. Gold and silver are insurances and for insurance we have to pay, not being paid.

Buying these is stupid. They don't generate any income, it's a limited and shallow market which can't provide required liquidity and depth for large capitals used in debt markets like bonds, there won't be enough precious metal in the whole world to provide the liquidity and the quantity required by countries. Buying physical metal requires storage, protection and vulnerable for theft and require costly expertize. Gold and silver are insurances and for insurance we have to pay, not being paid.

So wrong I had money sitting in a low interest account if I would of bought a few ounces of gold a few years ago I would of made money.
Probably I bought my first Gold from Mr. Maxwell he kept it for me like four years now without any error, I am living till six to seven more years so that when am about to sell I will have a Hodge of money,
