Gold jewellery is biggest loot. When we buy rates are different but when we sell they make cuts.

These jewellers think they are very smart and math genius but they are digging their own gr ave. Thats why branded chains like kalyan , malabar , joyyalukas and tanishq are eating up their business. A customer goes to the store to buy jewellery and not solve complex math calculations.

Branded jewellers have making charges ranging from 6-25 % while local dealers charges 10-15% for polish and 150-200 per gram making charges which actually comes more than branded jewellers. So it is better to buy from branded jewellers when they give rebate in making charges.

Ultimately it boils down to take it or leave it situation. On one side your wife has loved the design & wants to wear it & on the other hand you know he is charging more but can’t walk out. So I have stopped getting down to any of these calculations in detail & just buy it if I can afford what my wife wants.
