I applied to SDU for the software engineering course, your video really made me happy and I think SDU is an amazing university. Thank you for this vlog and would be amazing if you upload more about the Uni or life in Odense!
Hi, thank you for this spectacular video. I graduated from jondi shapour university of technology in iran. i had no idea about danish universities until this video despite of my uncle lives there for almost 32 years. keep up your awesome work.
What a nice comment! 😍 love it. I am sorry i don’t have more English videos. But I am actually filming a vlog in English this week which will go online probably next week 😉
You are so pretty!! Please girl, motivate us!! For doing higher study in abroad!! Such as Denmark. We are asian, we have barriers,, So keep motivate us❤
Super!
Thank you for filming the SDU. I have applied for Master in Management Accounting for Feb 2025. What about the job opportunities in Odense for English speakers? Thank you again
@Prznnn thank you for messaging me! Unfortunately, I could not pay the application fee at the very last time. Therefore, my application would not have been considered. You will get a response within their time frame and best of luck.
with a permanent residency from Portugal, What are the language requirements ? I tried to search in the university website and there were many : TOFEL, IELTS . Do I need to do all or you think one language test could work like either IELTS or TOFEL?
Great question.. as a German i didn’t need to do one but I don’t know how it is for you. If you need to do one then I would definitely recommend IELTS instead of TOFEL. During my years of studying I did both at some point and IELTS is much easier. But if I where you I would really practice for the test and the specific question styles so you are prepared :)
Hi, Love your video! Are there flexibility with hours and what times you want to take each class? As a follow up, I guess how many hours per week is a masters full time? Thank you!
Depends on so many things. But the first two semesters I had on average 3-4 days with two classes each 4 hours. The classes are quite fixed so you can't really lay them how you want. But you will have time for a student job for instance
That’s great, I have a remote job I do not want to lose but starts in the afternoons. Also, when does fall semester start and finish and same with spring. I tried looking at their site it wasn’t very clear just deadlines. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for your video ! I'm a French student who will probably apply there next year but I've the possibility to go in two different cities, Odense and Esbjerg, which of these cities would you recommend ?
I haven’t been to Esbjerg so I can’t say how that city is. Depending on what you prefer :) so Odense ist super central especially if you consider visiting places in Denmark. But Esbjerg has a long north seas side so it was probably really nice nature wise. But will rain more as it is the North Sea :) university wise it will probably be similar. Odense is bigger yes but danish people are still really outgoing and even in smaller cities there is lots to do ☺️
I just texted my friend who is from bangladesh to answer you ☺️ so hopefully you will get an answer soon. But knowing abir (the friend) he seems pretty happy at SDU/Denmark
SDU is one of the top ranking universities in the whole world; last time i checked, it was 315 or 325! And the Engineering faculty has been flourishing amazingly! Not only saying this because I am the only student member in the study board of engineering subjects of SDU, but also saying this because of the continuous support from the biggest industries and the government bodies of Denmark for the growth and development of the Engineering subjects especially. As a non-EU/EEA students, we don't get SU, but we do have a good chance of having full tuition waiver and a minimum scholarship which can support our monthly house rent. Odense has a better chance of on-campus or off-campus part-time employment for non-danish speakers than Sønderborg. I would also suggest to contact university authorities regarding anything before/during/after applying for any sort of queries. They are helpful, and ready to help via emails. There is also the biggest Facebook group for Bangladeshis in Denmark, which is named BASAD; I also recommend this one. If I had time on my hand, I would write something elaborate about the last question you asked. But that would take at least 1 hour for me to write briefly. Maybe I can make a video of my own regarding this after February. I am busy with exams till the end of February. 😅
Go for it!
What do you mean with enough hours? And from what country do you come? I have made the experience that the exams are easier compared to Germany. But I guess it depends. In Denmark you will have a lot of group works and oral exams. :)
where do you live in odense? I got offer letter 1 week ago in web communication design situated in SDU, Kolding. I am planning to stay in Odense C or M.
Did you sign up for student accommodation? Then you will get a room assigned to. :) transport is good with bus but I would awkward recommend buying or renting a bike.
Hej :) where are you from and what do you want to apply for. As I can remember I had no entrance exam. I only needed to show that I have enough English knowledge 😃
For sure :) it is a great city and great university. The city itself is also really young (young people). Depending on the job it is easy to find. If you just want to work 10 hours per week to get the extra help from the danish government then there is always delivery or cleaning jobs. A lot of my friends do that. Finding a job in a company is a bit more difficult but possible :) what are you thinking about studying?
