Ya I went decades thinking he played a Strat on that until I watched an interview with him and he pulled out the Les Paul...turned my world upside down...and so I went out and bought a Les Paul.
@@flatstheflounder9874 which song? I was referring to Dave's solo on Another Brick in the Wall Part 2. He recorded it with his gold '55 (or '57) Les Paul with single coil pickups.
I'm not really a fan of these things, but what an awesome demo!!! Most pedal reviewers and demonstrators should watch this video (except for Andy of pro guitar shop, who does cool demos as well). A very refreshing thing to watch. Thanks, dude
The ME-80 is fantastic. Hooking it up to the computer and downloading effects which immediately make the guitar take on the tones of several of the classics was amazing. As you can tell from the demo, those tones are immediately available and all you have to do is change have your presets lined up. Personally, I love the Tube Screamer simulation and some of the amp simulations are extremely rich.
Bought it 3 years ago people don't seem to realize that it is a digital multipedal when going to small gigs and the delays are amazing, you even have looping station
Thanks to Glenn Delaune's channel and his demo of the ME-80 . I went looking for more on the product . And purchase I will do. My son will enjoy the new board.
I honestly hope they gave this guy a big bonus check for this. This video of his demo probably sold so many of these. Prettyuch the reason I bought mine a year ago.
Made for guitarists.very solid feels .all in one ...multi effects 80 .stand for ...two times of birthdays...gifts of both, young and elderly....( early year's, and presents
Just bought one today and haven't started to use it yet. Seems like I've got a huge lot to learn as I am a nookie and the instruction is in English and I am from China. Anyway, I like what you played and it gives me confidence because what you did with it is awesome. Thanks for programming it and bringing so much joy to people like me. Cheers!
It's a step backwards. The Reverb on the ME10 gives you R1 R2 H1 H2. And then pre delay, feedback, tone, volume. No amp models. It gives you both modes of the OD2 and DS2. Much more straight forward. Manual mode, analogue drives. Eq has got a swept mid. You can sweep through the wah by numbers too 1 - 100 using the wheel.
So if you don't have the headphone jack occupied you have no speaker simulator for the amp models.....so what I'm hear on this demo is direct with no speaker model only amp models????? I want to use this thru a PA
I've owned it for a year. It has amp models right in there with all of the effects. But the cab simulation can only be turned on by plugging something into the headphone jack, which I find kinda werid. I've gigged live with a PA, and I plugged the PA into the main output, but threw another plug in the headphone jack just to turn on the cab simulation. Mostly that cab sulation makes the tone sound a little thicker with stronger highs and less mud.
Great demo, great playing. I had a POD HD500x and sent it back to the shop... too complicated and didn't like the sound. Gonna get an ME-80 now, this video convinced me.
Hi Rieni I see the Boss Me 80 video. My problem...Line6 Hd 500 or Boss ME80???? Have you buy the boss Me 80. And whats Your Feeling??? Great wishes from Germany Jürgen 😀😀😀
Jürgen Ilg I don't have the ME80 yet, but to me the HD500 sounded very thin and programming is very difficult and time consuming. As you can see in this demo, on the ME80 you just turn physical knobs to adjust effects. Also musicians have been using Boss pedals for decades so they must have been doing some things very well.
+Jürgen Ilg I've never used the 80 but have a lot of experience with the ME50. Go Boss. The ease of programming with an actual knob is worth the money alone. The sounds are great. I love Boss delays. Give it a shot.
So just making sure I understand this... if you don’t have anything plugged into the headphone jack on the back then the pre amp section does nothing? It’s only turned on when you plug something in.
Great demo, very well played. How does the ME80 sound thru the return of an all tube amp? What's better than the line 6 stuff? Thanks, been a boss fan forever, although my fav box was the Roland chorus/flanger from early 70's dl
Sounds great. I have a friend that has the ME 70 and I was thinking of getting that but this one sounds great. I'd be using a Taylor T5 through a PA. What's your thoughts?
the me-70 and now, apparently, the me-80 are the only budget, floor multi effects that I've ever played and said "right...this is awesome"...I'm much more of an "I need a $3000 amp with a ts-808 and a delay in the loop" guy...the fact that I can pump this thing through my little vht and feel like I'm practicing with similar calibre sounds to my big rig is huge
Please give us some naked....without the backing track...hard to really separate the sound of the device and the track...like to see creative uses not so much classic covers although all that sounds great
Hello Admin: I need serious help: I cannot find the me80 driver for windows10 in the official Website of the Boss.the file is available but after the download i can find only the Readme File and not the setup of the driver. help me brother.
Okay but we don't see him changing through any type of presets. I would have liked to have actually seen him using the device itself to change through. I also don't personally understand how to save a setting into the memory bank as a preset. I assume it involves hitting the write button. But I'm not sure how many presets it can store at one time. And how you differentiate them all from one another
Maybe it's just how it looked, but a couple of times it looked as if he was miming the lead and it was all pre recorded. May not be so, but hard to tell when we don't see the unit at his feet he's actually supposed to be playing. However, the programed sounds were great nevertheless.
I thought the same. Especially the Panama lead where the recording has a slight trem dive but his had didn't do any reference to this note, and then at the end that lead you hear the trem dive again slightly. Nonetheless, even if he was air guitaring it, he gets a perfect 10 for sync!
Great demo Josh. I've had mine for about 6 months now and really impressed. Are there any patches for early Edge (U2) sounds, i.e. Streets, With or Without You etc? I've set up my own but still feel i'm not quite there with it. Again, great demo.
you should know some of u2 songs have more than one delay in it, like streets, i don't know about this unit but I've done it in the pod HD500 because you can put more than 2 delays pre and after amp.
Hey Rumel. Yeah i've got my own U2 sounds happening now and am aware of Edge's double delay technique which I have always loved. At the time just wondered if there were any patches already done. Cheers for your comments.
Dude was playing hit after hit & nailing all of them!
That might be the best gear demo I have ever heard!
That guy did a hell of a good job programing the effects. Sounds pretty convincing to me.
*****
dude great job. boss is lucky to have you cuz i'm sold!
***** holly shit you knocked it out of the park lol wow
The Pink Fyold tone.....This Guitarist has done his homework!
That pretty much sold me on it haha it sounds perfect

My jaw dropped when RATM came on. Sick!
I love my ME 80, never more without.
What a fantastic demo! You can't help buy be impressed by the variety of tones.
I mean it would of been nice to see the pedal board when he was playing because that’s what we’re buying, but still an amazing demo and great playing
It’s 2019 and I’m getting this in memory of my gt-3 I had 17 years ago. I love that I can edit on my computer. Good job boss.
Probably the greatest demo ever.
Dude just rocked. that was awesome
I am going to buy this pedal thanks to this guy. Excellent sound.

My uncle gave this to me for free and I must say it's amazing

this was the best $299 I've ever spent!!!!
Goggy Pluurbo How have you liked the ME -80?
Bought it 3 years ago people don't seem to realize that it is a digital multipedal when going to small gigs and the delays are amazing, you even have looping station
i can feel my wallet emptying

flawless: the tone, the playing and the explanation. Now the bet is to be as good as this guy to use the ME80 and get the same quality of tones.
Incredible demo. Setting the bar high.
Shut up and take my money!

Why they cant make one board with all of the effect pedal having individual switch and knob!
looking good Arthur of the high notes

I did exactly the same. The user interface on the pod hd unit is just horrible to use
Thanks for the Vid!
Very impressive.
my favorite effect is the eyebrow ring!
5 yrs. later I'm still trying to get half these sounds. Best demo ever. Jason is the dog's ball sack.
Aren’t these sounds downloadable from the boss website?
This was randomly recommended to me
I was just about to buy one of those, but then that dude came in late on the solo to Brick in a Wall, game over.
What is switching his patches as he is playing?
Well done demo. Also looks like this unit will sell well.
Wow from vintage sounds to modern... Very versatile

Why no drums from Boss!?
The cheapest digitechs/zooms have drums so it can't cost much to add in.

Damm, the Page tone was spot on!
Will the patches from bosstonecentral be compatible with other Boss multi FX processors like the older ME products, and GT 10, and GT100 ?
I wonder if the built-in USB interface suffers from any lag (latency) back to a computer / DAW?
This quadcopter is neat as hell. Going to pick up one next week. Wait ... huh ? Wrong video, nevermind.
