I did the math and with a $365 membership, she needs about 2,500 people to join her to make 7 figures a year. That’s only about 2% of her audience on the no shame sales game account which is a pretty standard conversion rate so not unlikely that she has that. She really doesn’t need to make any money with her MLM. She’s essentially a social media specialist who’s “niche” is people in MLMs… so them making money or not is irrelevant to her. She just picked a profitable niche… no matter how unethical.
She certainly "makes" around $1.2million a year from memberships alone. She probably makes more from giving talks, conferences, merch, any spouse's income, etc, and obviously she has some write offs she can take to lower her tax obligation. But considering how high self-employment taxes are, not to mention operating costs (like website fees), she'd need closer to 5000 subscribers to *profit* at least a million dollars a year. She lives in Virginia, and if my quick math is close, on a conservative taxable income of only $1.2 million, she'd still take home under $700k a year after tax. Which is still a crap ton of money, to be fair, but the 4% conversion rate might be getting a bit more unrealistic (given that this is pricier than standard merch), and there's no guarantee that people will *stay* subscribed after the first year. MLMs are rarely lifetime gigs, and even if a subscriber is still in an MLM after a few years, it has to become apparent eventually that this "community" and "trainings" aren't actually helping that much for the average person.
My nickname for Colleen is "Not Like Other Huns". I think she likes to appear quirky and different (I have a pixie cut and watch murder documentaries!) so that people will think that she has something unique to offer in terms of coaching. But, I have never heard her say anything new.
I am anti MLM and I am aghast as a mental health professional she doesn't realize the damages that MLMs do. But she can be quirky just because she's quirky; nothing to do to sell an image. In fact, I think people would find her more relatable if she looked and had interests like them
@@brucheweinberger6863 I see what you're saying; people respond to relatability. Personally, watching her content or looking at the coaching events she's created/hosted, her unique style is her angle-- it's the "value" that she offers. And, in my opinion, the most she'll give in terms of relatability is curated imperfection. In much of her content, she is very condescending, especially if you question MLM or aren't successful at it.
I suspect she only stands out because MLMs pattern their reps into a very repetitive mold. Not only do they look alike as they even learn how to say the exact same lines and perform along the same lines. I’ve yet to see a single Goth MLMer, for example. I suspect brands wouldn’t care for such a look but if I were to go into “the business” (which I wouldn’t) as a Goth myself, I might very well end up tapping a niche that the bubbly, super HapPY kind would never reach.
Yeah I am interested as well. She has to be using some of that skillset whether she realizes how manipulative it is or not. It's hard to tell who is a truly bad person and who has become a bad person because of the brainwashing
@ginnygin Considering she has started her own separate "coaching" business outside of her moderately (?) successful R&F customer account, I'm going with she knows Exactly what she is doing. Imho
I thought that when Colleen says she's "pro-MLM", she means that she's an advocate for the industry, not that she's a professional in the industry. It's like saying that you're "pro-democracy" or "pro-Ukraine".
I have never understood the appeal of this woman, or why people who are already sunk deep into their MLM would be willing to pay even more for her trainings, which don't contain anything we haven't heard before.
I recently started following someone who is blatantly part of an MLM (I think it might be DPM). She genuinely seems like a good and lovely person, who thinks she is genuinely helping people by selling the business model. She is so young and there is a vulnerability about her that makes me feel quite worried for her. She is so suckered in and not overly pushy but she has already sent me a “training” video about the business trying to get me to sign up. I declined politely, because it sounded MLM/pyramid scheme-y and it’s just been confirmed since. But what is worrying is that this company are tending to describe it as affiliate marketing, which is just not accurate! And everyone that is involved call themselves a business coach. The girl I follow signed up 7 months ago and when I asked about earnings, she said she’s made nothing yet…I can almost guarantee she has invested thousands so far. I’m so glad I have my wits about me. I can see how it’s so easy to fall for.
Lol so funny that she calls that "Recommendation Rita". Also that's me. I actually referred someone to a Spanish language knitting tutorial tonight. I don't even speak Spanish, but it's a really good tutorial lol. I would never refer someone to do an mlm, though. The business is so terrible for most people. So terrible.
My fave is when her and her kind started doing the " you don't have to recruit to be successful! Join my team and I will show you how to be successful!" maam you are still recruiting to be successful.....
Oh my God, as someone who has panic attacks, I could not imagine coming out of a panic attack and recording a video for a business… Girl, you need time to rest and recover those things are exhausting
Love your videos, I watch every week - I could totally be off base here, but in the beginning of this video when you were discussing why people call themselves “pro network marketers” I couldn’t help but think that maybe this line was misinterpreted. When I heard her say that I thought she meant it as in “im pro network marketing” ie I support it and think about it positively- pro as opposed to con/anti, not that she was saying she is a pro, as in professional (which I’m sure she also thinks but I just don’t think that’s what she was trying to communicate in that instance) again, I could be totally wrong but that’s just what I gathered from her saying that
Does anyone else literally hate recommendations? My first thought is "what makes you think I'd like what you like?!" 😅😂 that's my own problem but I'd totally tune out ant recs
I think she means pro like positive or on the side of. The opposite of con (or anti). I'm sure she also thinks she's a pro as in a professional, but idk if that's what she meant here.
I hope they all start putting "pro-mlm" on accounts where its vague which mlm they are in, make it easier to avoid and run away from the cold messages 😆
You know, in normal industries you need qualifications to speak on certain topics or do certain jobs. But in MLMs, I guess anyone can call themselves a pro and start “coaching”.
I don't think I'm typical in my preferences but I am not a fan of video in stories. I am super sensitive to sound so audio is uncomfortable and makes me anxious when it's super sudden. unless it's someone I know well or someone who's content I'm looking for specifically I most likely will tap thru video automatically. I do agree with her that captioning video is always a good idea. But I also notice huns are putting music on their videos so that anti mlm creators won't snark on their content to avoid a copyright strike so captioning would defeat the purpose of that (Even though there are plenty of low effort ways to get around that tactic anyway.) Lol.
I can’t believe she’s telling them to consistently be posting the same thing about your business… There’s a girl I know who is in monat and she post like 1 million stories a day about her business every single day and it’s way too much

Whether you like the mlm business model or not being a top earner or running a large social media business of any kind is HARD WORK
Yeah being a top earner in an MLM involves hard work but it also requires you to be shady, deceptive, unethical and predatory
