  • Sack trucks are an 'L' shaped trolley with two wheels that enables one person to transport goods that would difficult or impossible without extra equipment.
    Stair Climbing Sack Truck are designed to transport heavy items using a ledge on two wheels, where heavy materials need to be moved up and down stairs.

    Excellent video and concept. I have been doing stairs with heavy trolley’s for over 25 years. Haven’t tried this yet but planning to. From what I can see using this 2 stage system, the load is still the same but with less risk of failure as the two stage system allows you to relax your movement in the process.

    Понравилась работа,очень удачно расположена грузовая платформа,над осью колес,но усложнение оси ,снижение прочности и грузоподъёмности,на мой взгляд фиксированная лучше,подшипников лучше поставить два и вместо шплинта резьбу под две гайки,одна основная,другая контргайка,со шплинтом сложнее регулировать зазор и один подшипник быстро разобьёт и подшипник и посадку.

    Very nice. What should be the diameter of the wheel & the offset distance, in relation to the height of the step?
    In my home, the stairs are 8" (200mm) high at each step. so what would be wheel diameter & the offset of the wheel-centre from axle?

    Don't really understand how this would help climb the stairs just looks like the wheels pivot but doesn't actually help the wheel up?

      well, there the center of mass slides along the trajectory of the arc. The wheels of an ordinary hand cart, or rather the center of mass, which is located on the axis, repeating the trajectory of the steps - horizontally, vertically, and so on

    It will not make climbing easy, the moment of force required will be the same. Also, in flat ground, this will just introduce wobble or play.

      the idea is to smooth the step. The amount of energy is obviously the same for a given step, but transition takes longer, and the amount of Force is indeed smaller than a basic system. Force is smaller, but compensated by a longer action. The move is accordingly less intense.

      such wheeled triples have very poor maneuverability. however, the manufacturer "Rotacaster" makes special wheels for a triple wheel system
